Franklin Covey, National Beverage And 3 Stocks To Watch Heading Into Thursday

Chipmakers are likely to benefit from the &#8216;One Big Beautiful Bill Act&#8217; passed by the Senate on Tuesday, as they will be eligible for an investment tax credit that can incentivize the semiconductor business.
What Happened: According to the provisions of the tax cut bill proposed by President Donald Trump, the Big Beautiful Bill aims to temporarily increase an investment tax credit for semiconductor manufacturers till the end of 2026.
It would raise the tax credit to 30% of investments in manufacturing facilities, from the current 25%, providing stronger incentives for companies to expand domestic production.
Trump was initially critical of the Chips and Science Act, which granted awards worth $32.5417 billion and provided loans up to $5.85 billion to 32 companies, as per the <a href="https://www.semiconductors.org/chip-supply-chain-investments/">Semiconductor Industry Association</a>.
However, Trump set up a new entity, the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/04/44584283/days-after-calling-the-chips-act-a-horrible-thing-donald-trump-sets-up-new-entity-for-negotiating-much-better-deals-heres-more">United States Investment Accelerator</a>, within the Commerce Department, which now oversees the CHIPS Act program, as established by an executive order signed by him. 
The Big Beautiful Bill has now gone back to the House after<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/07/46211326/one-big-beautiful-bill-passes-senate-with-jd-vances-tie-breaking-vote-trump-says-its-going-to-go-very-nicely-in-the-house"> narrowly passing in the Senate</a>, before the President could finally sign it to make it into a law.

Suhail Doshi, founder of Playground AI and analytics platform Mixpanel Inc., publicly accused an Indian software engineer of simultaneously working at multiple startups while allegedly defrauding Y Combinator portfolio companies.

Despite the economic downturn in China, former IMF Chief Economist Kenneth Rogoff believes the country's push to undermine the U.S. dollar's global dominance remains firmly on track.

&#8220;China doesn't have to grow at 7% in order to establish the yuan as more of a currency,&#8221; he said. &#8220;They're the world's largest trading partner for probably more than half the countries in the world. So they're there. They've arrived.&#8221;
Rogoff draws parallels to Japan's post-boom era, warning that China is repeating many of the same mistakes, including significantly overinvesting in real estate and infrastructure. Yet despite that, he insists the yuan can continue gaining ground regionally.
He also warns that the U.S. is accelerating its own decline. &#8220;The erosion of the dollar, which I argue started a decade ago, is accelerating,&#8221; Rogoff said, citing trade policies and erratic decision-making in Washington as contributing factors.

Chatham House expert, David Lubin, noted two months ago that some people within the Trump administration may view the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/04/44858165/policy-push-vs-market-pull-dollar-under-pressure-as-reserve-currency-may-be-called-into-question-amid-tariff-turmoil">reserve status of the U.S. Dollar</a> as &#8220;more of a burden to the U.S. economy than a blessing.&#8221;

What Happened: On CNBC&#8217;s Mad Money, Jim Cramer referred to the collapse as &#8220;a huge hit,&#8221; resulting from a combination of factors such as weak Affordable Care Act enrollments, an actuarial report pointing to sicker patients, and the company&#8217;s decision to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/guidance/25/07/46209736/centene-withdraws-2025-guidance-shares-dive">pull its 2025 outlook</a>.
&#8220;Companies make forecasts, they&#8217;re supposed to try and beat them,&#8221; Cramer says, however, &#8220;they rarely pull them.&#8221;

The findings showed that overall marketplace enrollment growth was lower than expected and that those who did enroll were in poorer health than projected, a combination that significantly affects the company's bottom line, thus prompting the company to pull its guidance.
As a result, the company now expects a $1.8 billion reduction in its projected risk adjustment revenue from the federal government. This drop is expected to slash its 2025 earnings by $2.75 per share.
&#8220;This is horrifying,&#8221; Cramer said, referring to the sharp revision in Centene&#8217;s EPS, from $7.25 per share projected earlier. &#8220;We&#8217;re talking about a 35% to 40% hit to their numbers,&#8221; Cramer says, &#8220;no wonder the stock was eviscerated.&#8221;
