U.S. stock futures were trading higher on Monday following Friday&#8217;s sharp declines. Futures of major benchmark indices were higher in premarket.
Iran <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/politics/25/06/45940864/trump-threatens-iran-with-unprecedented-us-military-action-in-case-of-attack-if-we-are-attacked-in-any-way-us-armed-forces-will-come-down-on-you-at-levels-never-seen-before">retaliated against Israel's Operation</a> "Rising Lion," which began on Thursday, following which President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran. He stated that any attack on U.S. forces or land would be met with an unprecedented military response in a Truth Social post.
The 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.43% and the two-year bond was at 3.97%. The CME Group's FedWatch <a href="https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html">tool</a>&#8216;s projections show markets pricing a 99.8% likelihood of the Federal Reserve keeping the current interest rates unchanged in its June meeting.

The SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/QQQ#NASDAQ">QQQ</a>), which track the S&amp;P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 index, respectively, rose in premarket on Friday. The SPY was up 0.38% at $599.25, while the QQQ advanced 0.45% to $529.34, according to <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/dashboard">Benzinga Pr</a>o data.
Cues From Last Session:
S&amp;P 500&#8217;s sectors closed in the red on Friday, as financial, information technology, and materials stocks experienced the most significant declines. However, energy stocks defied the broader market trend, ending the session higher.
This came as U.S. stocks settled lower, with the Dow Jones index plummeting over 700 points during the trading day following Israel's unexpected airstrike on Iranian nuclear sites.
Meanwhile, RH (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RH#NYSE">RH</a>) shares saw a gain of approximately 7% on Friday. This boost came after the company announced stronger-than-anticipated first-quarter adjusted EPS results and confirmed its commitment to its current FY25 guidance, despite ongoing uncertainties from tariffs and macroeconomic events.
On the economic front, the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index rose to 60.5 in June, up from 52.2 in the preceding two months, also surpassing market expectations of 53.5.
The Dow Jones index ended 770 points or 1.79% lower at 42,197.79, whereas the S&amp;P 500 index fell 1.13% to 5,976.97. Nasdaq Composite declined 1.30% to 19,406.83, and the small-cap gauge, Russell 2000, tumbled 1.85% to end at 2,100.51.

As major U.S. equity benchmarks fell on Friday due to heightened tensions between Israel and Iran, LPL Financial&#8217;s analysis of 25 wars over seven decades suggests long-term gains for the S&amp;P 500 index.
Jeff Buchbinder, Chief Equity Strategist at LPL, noted, &#8220;Assuming no imminent recession, which is LPL Research's base-case scenario, history shows that markets are roughly flat over the next month following these geopolitical and economic shocks, but frequently move higher over the following three, six, and 12-month periods. In the case of an event near a recession, such as Iraq's invasion of Kuwait in 1990 and 9/11, stocks have almost always moved lower in the subsequent 3, 6, and 12 months.&#8221;
Ed Yardeni from Yardeni Research said,&#8221; The S&amp;P 500 is now in the middle of the Middle East,&#8221; and advised investors to buy the dip.
&#8220;We anticipated this development in last Thursday&#8217;s QuickTakes and recommended using any selloff in the stock market as a buying opportunity,&#8221; he said.
Conversely, Louis Navellier of Navellier &amp; Associates highlighted a significant market concern: &#8220;The primary fear is that the fighting spreads to other countries and U.S. military bases in the region.&#8221;
Meanwhile, Nigam Arora from The Arora Report maintained that the &#8220;Israel Iran war is not a risk.&#8221;

Asian markets ended higher on Monday as South Korea's Kospi, China&#8217;s CSI 300, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, Australia's ASX 200, Japan's Nikkei 225, and India's S&amp;P BSE Sensex indices advanced. European markets were higher in early trade.

US Stocks Likely To Rebound After Sharp Decline Amid Israel-Iran Conflict: S&P 500 Historically Moves Higher After Wars, Says Expert

The CNN Money Fear and Greed index showed a decline in the overall market sentiment, while the index remained in the &#8220;Greed&#8221; zone on Friday.
U.S. stocks settled lower on Friday, with the Dow Jones index falling more than 700 points during the session following Israel&#8217;s surprise airstrike on Iranian nuclear sites.
Shares of RH (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RH#NYSE">RH</a>) gained around 7% on Friday after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter adjusted EPS results and announced it is maintaining its current FY25 guidance despite tariff and macroeconomic event uncertainty.
On the economic front, the University of Michigan&#8217;s consumer sentiment index increased to 60.5 in June from 52.2 in the previous two months, and also topped market estimates of 53.5.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a negative note, with financial, information technology and materials stocks recording the biggest losses on Friday. However, energy stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session higher.
The Dow Jones closed lower by around 770 points to 42,197.79 on Friday. The S&amp;P 500 fell 1.13% to 5,976.97, while the Nasdaq Composite dipped 1.30% to 19,406.83 during Friday's session.

Benzinga Bulls And Bears: Eli Lilly, Okto, McDonalds — And Israel-Iran Conflict Sparks Oil Surge

Being faced with a turbulent trade environment in recent months, luxury furnishing retailer RH (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RH#NYSE">RH</a>) is taking several steps and even leaning into the volatility to tackle the tariffs.
What Happened: On Thursday, during its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/movers/25/06/45915485/rh-stock-surges-on-q1-earnings-beat-despite-worst-housing-market-in-50-years">first quarter results</a>, the company outlined its plans to outmaneuver the industry turmoil caused by President Donald Trump&#8217;s &#8220;Liberation Day&#8221; tariffs, while using the disruption to reset its supply chains and grab market share.
This comes as many of its competitors, according to CEO Gary Friedman, are on the verge of bankruptcy. &#8220;We stopped shipments,&#8221; Friedman says, in response to the tariffs, adding that the surprise tariff announcements in early April didn&#8217;t follow suit with business as usual. &#8220;You don't just go, Oh yes, business as usual,&#8221; he said.
As a result, RH expects second-quarter revenue growth to slow to between 8% and 10%, compared to 12% growth in Q1, citing a roughly six-point drag attributed to the tariffs. The shortfall is expected to be recovered in the second half of the year.

In response to the tariffs, RH is cutting its imports from China, from 16% to just 2%, while ramping up production domestically in the U.S., as well as in Italy for its core upholstery categories. It says that some of its vendor partners have agreed to absorb a significant portion of the tariff burden.
Despite the near-term turbulence, Friedman framed the situation as an opportunity. &#8220;There [are] a lot of people going bankrupt,&#8221; he said. &#8220;They don't have the scale, the leverage, or the strategic flexibility.&#8221; 
According to Friedman, RH's ability to act decisively in a downturn, rather than retreat, positions it to emerge stronger as others falter.
Why It Matters: Being significantly exposed to international trade, the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44729499/rh-rallies-after-trump-pauses-tariffs-that-triggered-40-selloff">stock plunged 40%</a> when the tariffs were first announced, which coincided with a disappointing fourth quarter performance. 
It, however, rallied 29% just a few days down the line when Trump announced <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44729499/rh-rallies-after-trump-pauses-tariffs-that-triggered-40-selloff">a 90-day pause</a> on the tariffs, which underscores the level of exposure the company has to foreign trade and tariffs.
During its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/trading-ideas/movers/25/06/45915485/rh-stock-surges-on-q1-earnings-beat-despite-worst-housing-market-in-50-years">first quarter results</a> on Thursday, RH reported $813.95 million in revenue, and while it missed consensus estimates at $818.12 million, it came in well ahead of estimates on earnings, at $0.13 per share, against analysts estimating a loss of $0.009 per share. 
Price Action: Shares of RH were down 1.18% on Thursday, ending at $176.87, but have since surged 18.05% during after-hours, following its first quarter results.

RH (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RH#NYSE">RH</a>) reported first-quarter financial results after the market close on Thursday that included a surprise earnings beat, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/b45914093/rh-reports-first-quarter-fiscal-2025-results">sending shares higher</a>. 
Q1 Earnings: RH reported first-quarter revenue of $813.95 million, missing the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/RH/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus estimate</a> of $818.12 million, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Benzinga Pro</a>. The luxury retailer reported first-quarter adjusted earnings of 13 cents per share, surpassing analyst estimates calling for a loss of nine cents per share.
Total revenue was up 12% on a year-over-year basis despite the &#8220;polarizing impact&#8221; of tariff uncertainty and &#8220;the worst housing market in almost 50 years.&#8221; RH noted its substantial investments aimed at elevating and expanding the company&#8217;s product and platform resulted in significant share gains and strategic separation.
&#8220;While we expect a higher risk business environment this year due to the uncertainty caused by tariffs, market volatility, inflation risk, and an increasing level of global discord, we believe it's important to separate the signal from the noise,&#8221; the company said in a letter to shareholders.
&#8220;Despite that fact, we are performing at a level most would expect in a robust housing market.&#8221;
Outlook: RH anticipates second-quarter revenue growth of 8% to 10%, and full-year 2025 revenue growth of 10% to 13%.
RH expects to generate $250 to $350 million of free cash flow in 2025. The company estimated that its adjusted capital expenditures will decrease to a range of $200 million to $250 million in 2026, and $150 to $200 million in 2027 and beyond.
&#8220;Due to the significant and unexpected Liberation Day Tariffs announced on April 2nd, shipments and resourcing efforts were disrupted globally. We believe the disruption will negatively impact revenues by approximately 6 points in the second quarter and will be recovered in the second half, which is reflected in our outlook,&#8221; the company said.
RH&#8217;s management team will further discuss the quarter on a conference call with investors and analysts at 5 p.m. ET.
