CICC Initiates Coverage On Rockwell Automation with Outperform Rating, Announces Price Target of $381

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday approved KalVista Pharmaceuticals Inc.&#8217;s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/KALV#NASDAQ">KALV</a>) Ekterly&nbsp;(sebetralstat) for acute attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE) in adult and pediatric patients <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/07/b46270261/kalvista-pharmaceuticals-announces-fda-approval-of-ekterly-sebetralstat-first-and-only-oral-on-dem" rel="noreferrer noopener">aged 12 years and older</a>.
Ekterly is the first and only oral on-demand treatment for HAE. HAE is characterized by recurrent episodes of severe swelling (angioedema).
The efficacy and safety of Ekterly were established by the results from KalVista&#8217;s phase 3 KONFIDENT clinical trial, which was the largest clinical trial program ever conducted in HAE, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Data from KONFIDENT was published in the&nbsp;New England Journal of Medicine&nbsp;in May 2024, showing that Ekterly achieved significantly faster symptom relief, reduced attack severity and resolution than placebo, and was well-tolerated with a safety profile similar to placebo.
The trial randomized 136 HAE patients.
These results were further supported by the more real-world KONFIDENT-S open-label extension trial, which, as of September 2024, showed that Ekterly enabled patients to treat attacks in a median of 10 minutes following onset.
The most recent data from KONFIDENT-S show that the beginning of symptom relief occurred in a median of 1.3 hours among attacks involving the larynx and the abdomen and for breakthrough attacks among patients receiving long-term prophylaxis.
KalVista will launch Ekterly in the U.S. immediately, and physicians can begin writing prescriptions today.
Due to heavy workload and limited resources, the FDA missed the PDUFA (Prescription Drug User Fee Act) goal date of 17 June for the New Drug Application (NDA) <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/b45934266/kalvista-pharmaceuticals-announces-fda-will-not-meet-pdufa-goal-date-for-sebetralstat-nda-for-here" rel="noreferrer noopener">for sebetralstat for HAE</a>.
In other developments, KalVista Pharmaceuticals <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/b46111778/kalvista-pharmaceuticals-enters-into-licensing-agreement-with-pendopharm-to-commercialize-sebetral" rel="noreferrer noopener">also granted Pendopharm</a>, a division of Pharmascience Inc., exclusive rights to manage the regulatory approval and commercialization of sebetralstat in Canada. The financial terms of this agreement were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NTLA#NASDAQ">NTLA</a>) is working on a different kind of treatment for HAE: an investigational in vivo CRISPR-based <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/10/41524915/why-is-gene-therapy-focused-intellia-therapeutics-stock-trading-lower-on-thursday" rel="noreferrer noopener">gene editing therapy</a> called NTLA-2002.
In vivo gene editing means the gene-editing tools are delivered directly into the patient&#8217;s body to make changes to their DNA, aiming for a one-time, potentially curative treatment.
Intellia released promising Phase 2 data from its ongoing Phase 1/2 study of NTLA-2002 in October 2024. A single dose of NTLA-2002 showed mean monthly attack rates relative to placebo were reduced by 75% and 77% for the 25 mg and 50 mg arms during weeks 1–16 and by 80% and 81% during weeks 5–16, respectively.
In the 50 mg arm, eight of 11 patients experienced a complete response after a single dose of NTLA-2002, with no attacks at all during the 16-week primary observation period; these eight patients continued to be attack-free through the latest follow-up (median of eight months), and no subsequent treatment has been required.
Price Action: KALV stock is trading higher by 15.9% to $13.89 premarket at last check Monday.

Wall Street's Most Accurate Analysts Spotlight On 3 Industrials Stocks With Over 5% Dividend Yields

Jasper Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JSPR#NASDAQ">JSPR</a>) (Jasper), a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on development of briquilimab, a novel antibody therapy targeting KIT (CD117) to address mast cell driven diseases such as chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) and chronic inducible urticaria (CIndU), is reporting updated data from Company's BEACON Phase 1b/2a study of subcutaneous briquilimab in adult participants with CSU and providing an update on the program. Briquilimab administration resulted in deep and rapid disease control in the 240mg and 360mg single-dose cohorts, with 8 of 9 (89%) of participants enrolled across both cohorts achieving a complete response, and with 7 of 9 (78%) achieving a clinical response by week 2. In addition, BEACON participants who rolled over into the open-label extension study dosing at 180mg Q8W demonstrated robust clinical efficacy with 8 of 11 (73%) participants achieving a complete response at 12 weeks.
Results from the 240mg Q8W and the 240mg followed by 180mg Q8W dose cohorts appear to be confounded by an issue with one drug product lot used in those cohorts, with 10 of the 13 patients dosed with drug from the lot in question. The Company is investigating the drug product lot in question and expects to have the results of that investigation in the coming weeks. Key observations noted in those 10 patients were lower than expected drops in mean tryptase levels and no discernable impact on UAS7 scores. The 2 participants enrolled in the cohorts that have been confirmed as being dosed with drug product from a different lot both achieved complete response.
New drug product is being provided to clinical sites to transition the 10 patients who were initially dosed with drug from the lot in question to drug product for their next administration that has demonstrated efficacy in earlier and ongoing cohorts. The Company also plans to enroll an additional 10-12 patients in total across the 240mg Q8W and the 240mg followed by 180mg Q8W cohorts to ensure a robust data set to inform the Phase 2b CSU study. Data from the additional BEACON patients is expected in 4Q 2025 and commencement of the Phase 2b study is now expected in mid-2026.
The Company has also determined that the drug product lot in question was used to treat participants enrolled in the ETESIAN trial evaluating briquilimab in asthma. As a result, and in order to focus resources on advancing briquilimab in CSU, the Company is halting the study and pausing development in asthma. In addition, the Company is halting development in SCID and will be implementing a number of other cost cutting measures, including a potential restructuring, to extend runway and reduce expenses.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin Trade Sideways As Trading Volume Decreases

Apogee Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/APGE#NASDAQ">APGE</a>) stock is experiencing a significant surge, trading almost 29% higher in premarket on Monday.
This substantial increase in stock price follows the release of positive 16-week data from Part A of the Phase 2 APEX clinical trial of APG777, an anti-IL-13 antibody, for <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" rel="noreferrer noopener">moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis</a>.
Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by dry, itchy, and inflamed skin.

Part A of the trial enrolled 123 adult patients who were randomized 2:1 to APG777 versus placebo and received an induction regimen dosing of 720mg at Weeks 0 and 2, followed by 360mg <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/07/g46269848/apogee-therapeutics-announces-positive-16-week-data-from-phase-2-apex-clinical-trial-of-apg777-its" rel="noreferrer noopener">at Weeks 4 and 12</a>.
Patients benefiting from treatment continued maintenance dosing, evaluating 3- or 6-month dosing of APG777.
The primary endpoint of Part A is the mean percentage change in Eczema Area Severity Index (EASI) score from baseline at Week 16.
Secondary endpoints include EASI-75, EASI-90, Validated Investigator Global Assessment (IGA) 0/1, and Itch Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) at Week 16.
On Monday, the company said the trial met its primary endpoint, with APG777 showing significantly greater least squares mean percent change from baseline at Week 16 with an EASI reduction of 71.0% compared to placebo of 33.8% (p &lt; 0.001).
Highest absolute and placebo-adjusted EASI-75 of any biologic, with 66.9% of participants treated with APG777 achieving EASI-75 compared to 24.6% on placebo.
Pre-specified sensitivity analysis showed consistent results in both moderate and severe patients.
Additionally, an exposure-response relationship was observed, with patients in the two highest quartiles of exposures achieving the highest EASI-75 response at Week 16, 83.3% for quartile three and 89.5% for quartile four.
Additional key secondary endpoints were in line with the standard of care, including vIGA 0/1 (Validated Investigator Global Assessment of clear or almost clear skin) of 34.9% compared to 17.3% for placebo, and EASI-90 (Eczema Area Severity Index, 90% improvement) of 33.9% compared to 14.7% for placebo.
Patients in the highest quartile of exposures achieved the highest response, 63.2% vIGA 0/1 and 63.2% EASI-90 at Week 16. Treatment of patients with APG777 led to a rapid onset of itch relief and achieved a statistically significant reduction by Week 1.
50.7% reduction of Itch NRS from baseline compared to 23.2%. APG777 was well tolerated with a safety profile consistent with other agents in the class.
APEX Part B is a placebo-controlled dose optimization with approximately 280 patients randomized 1:1:1:1 to high, medium, or low dose APG777 versus placebo.
Part B continues to enroll participants, with a readout expected in mid-2026. Data readout from the maintenance phase of APEX Part A, testing 3- and 6-month maintenance dosing, is expected in the first half of 2026.
In other news from Apogee Therapeutics, in May, the company revealed interim data from its Phase 1b trial of APG808 for <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/25/05/45357154/why-is-apogee-therapeutics-stock-trading-higher-on-monday" rel="noreferrer noopener">mild-to-moderate asthma</a>.
The study showed that a multiple-dose regimen of APG808 was well tolerated in asthmatic patients through 12 weeks of available follow-up. The most common treatment-emergent adverse events observed were headache, injection site erythema, and upper respiratory tract infections.

Apogee Therapeutics' Eczema Drug Provides Rapid Itch Relief In Phase 2 Trial

Australian miner South32 (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SOUHY#NYSE">SOUHY</a>) has agreed to sell its Cerro Matoso <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/nickel" rel="noreferrer noopener">ferronickel mine</a> in northern Colombia to an industrial conglomerate, CoreX Holding, in a deal valued at up to $100 million.
The <a target="_blank" href="https://www.south32.net/news-media/latest-news/agreement-to-sell-cerro-matoso" rel="noreferrer noopener">agreement</a> includes a nominal upfront payment, with additional payments tied to future nickel prices and production performance, as well as up to $20 million in permitting milestone bonuses over the next five years.
Cerro Matoso, located in Córdoba, Colombia, is one of the leading global open-pit ferronickel operations but has struggled amid the weakening market. South32 reported a 6% drop in nickel output in the nine months ending March 2025 due to lower planned grades. The firm will also record a $130 million impairment loss, which will be excluded from the company's underlying earnings.
"The deal supports our strategy to streamline the portfolio and focus on higher-margin commodities essential for the green transition, such as copper and zinc," South32 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.south32.net/news-media/latest-news/agreement-to-sell-cerro-matoso" rel="noreferrer noopener">said</a> in a statement. The Perth-based miner continues to operate major assets across Australia, South Africa, and South America, focusing on copper and zinc.
The asset sale is unsurprising, given the recent <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/01/36737765/nickels-nosedive-40-yearly-drop-puts-miners-in-a-tight-spot" rel="noreferrer noopener">nickel market dynamics</a>. Prices have plummeted due to massive output from Indonesia, the world's top producer. Following the highs of $48,000 per ton reached in early 2022, prices dropped as low as $13,865 per ton in April.
Even China's Tsingshan Holding Group suspended multiple smelting lines at its Morowali facility in Central Sulawesi in May 2025, placing them under open-ended maintenance.
Macquire analyst Jim Lennon expects the surplus to continue until 2027-2028. "The market is in oversupply, and in Indonesia, several projects in the pipeline will be completed soon, increasing production capacity," he said at the May Shanghai Metals Market conference in Jakarta, according <a target="_blank" href="https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/nickel-oversupply-persist-expansion-slower-demand-growth-industry-experts-say-2025-06-05/" rel="noreferrer noopener">to</a> Reuters.
However, some leading industry names oppose this stance. Veteran resource investor Rick Rule sees a turning point for Indonesia. "The environmental degradation in Sulawesi won't be tolerated much longer," he <a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8PHsOmA9rA" rel="noreferrer noopener">noted</a> in a recent interview.
Rule has long favored high-grade sulfide nickel over Indonesia's laterite deposits, citing their lower energy intensity. "As oil prices rise over the next two to three years, the cost of laterite nickel will soar," he warned.
Some backlash is already materializing. AP News <a target="_blank" href="https://apnews.com/article/indonesia-raja-ampat-nickel-mining-suspend-a73cccb78485f7c8e3e785193d0bbede" rel="noreferrer noopener">reported</a> that last month, the Indonesian government suspended nickel mining in Raja Ampat—an ecologically fragile archipelago often referred to as the "Amazon of the seas." Violations included illegal mining on protected islands, pollution, and unpermitted land use.
Rule remains bullish, taking a contrarian stance but preferring quality over scale. "Sulfide nickel has made me a lot of money. In natural resource investing, you're either a contrarian or you're going to be a victim," he concluded.
