On Tuesday, 5G semiconductor solutions supplier GCT Semiconductor Holding Inc and Globalstar, Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GSAT#NASDAQ">GSAT</a>) announced a partnership to develop two-way satellite messaging systems for Globalstar&#8217;s <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/03/b44106080/gct-semiconductor-and-globalstar-partner-to-develop-iot-modules-for-two-way-satellite-cellular-and" rel="noreferrer noopener">mobile devices and modules</a>.
Globalstar recently announced that the RM200M product will use GCT&#8217;s IoT chip, GDM7243i.
Future products will support Globalstar&#8217;s satellite network using GCT&#8217;s 4G LTE chip, GDM7243SL, and 5G IoT-enabled chipset.

Globalstar VP Alex Katko said GCT&#8217;s GDM7243i is a top choice for narrowband IoT applications, including trackers and satellite GPS devices. He added that the narrowband and low-power capability of GDM7243i, alongside the flexible multi-mode GDM7243SL, will enable Globalstar devices and modules to fully connect and seamlessly switch between cellular and satellite networks worldwide.
In January, Apple Inc&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) tapped&nbsp;SpaceX&nbsp;to support the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/contracts/25/01/43311428/why-globalstar-stock-is-tumbling-wednesday" rel="noreferrer noopener">iPhone Starlink satellite network</a>. Apple already offers a satellite service through its collaboration with Globalstar.
Globalstar reported <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/b44025320/globalstar-announces-2024-financial-results" rel="noreferrer noopener">fourth-quarter revenue</a> of $61.18 million, up 17%, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $62.43 million. Adjusted EPS loss of $(0.20) missed the analyst consensus loss estimate of $(0.02). The company reiterated fiscal 2025 revenue of $260 million-$285 million compared to analyst consensus estimate of $279.59 million.
Price Action: GSAT stock is down 2.56% at $20.40 at the last check Tuesday.
