Fortrea Holdings is a late-stage contract research organization, or CRO, that provides comprehensive Phase I through IV clinical trial management, clinical pharmacology, and patient access solutions. The company works with emerging and large biopharma, medical device, and diagnostic companies to run their clinical trials as a functional-service provider, full-service provider, and offers hybrid trials. In 2023, Fortrea was formed as an independent, publicly traded company after Labcorp spun off its clinical development business, which it acquired via its purchase of Covance in 2015 for $6.1 billion. Fortrea has 19,000 staff members across 90 countries.

He argued that true builders master a razor-sharp "signal-to-noise ratio." Steve Jobs was &#8220;80 signal, 20 noise," O'Leary said, mentioning that he sees a similar trait in Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) chief Elon Musk. The creation of the America Party comes in the wake of President Donald Trump&#8216;s signing of a significant spending bill on July 4.
Musk expressed his disapproval of the bill&#8217;s spending measures and formed the new party as a countermeasure to what he views as a flawed two-party system.
Prior to his decision, Musk conducted a poll on X, querying voters about their desire for independence from the existing political framework. The poll garnered over 1.2 million votes, with a majority of 65.4% favoring the establishment of a new political party.
Musk announced the results of the poll on Saturday, stating,&nbsp;&#8220;By a factor of 2&nbsp;to 1, you want a&nbsp;new political party and you&nbsp;shall have it.&#8221; He further explained that the America Party was created to &#8220;give you back your freedom.&#8221;

It seems to be a recurring theme over the past several months where the ADP and BLS employment reports show completely different narratives. This happened again last week where the ADP report showed a weakening labor market, but BLS showed a resilient one.
So, what's the real story? All I know is I'm seeing more reports of companies laying off workers and hearing stories about people finding it more difficult to find work. Part of it has to do with artificial intelligence, but part of it is also cost-saving measures from companies.
We've been looking at September for the next rate cut. I would forget about a rate cut in July at this point. Between the new budget bill and rate cuts on the horizon, it looks like this market is about to get pumped to another level.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">A Lull in the Headlines?</h3>
We have FOMC minutes this week, but don't let the absence of other data releases fool you. I'm looking right at the July 9 tariff deadline, which could potentially be a source for the market's next round of volatility.
Some deals have been struck although there appears to be some lingering issues with Japan and the European Union especially. At the end of the day, any exporting nation wants and basically needs to sell to the U.S. market.
And don't even get me started on the delusional idea that tariffs are inflationary. Nobody believes taxes are inflationary, and tariffs are a tax. You can agree or disagree with the idea of tariffs, but never let political biases creep into your portfolio. It's job is to make money, not be right.

Overall, the state of the stock market's sectors continues to point to bullish momentum and more upside. All of the right sectors continue to lead, and save for consumer discretionary (XLY), all of the right sectors continue to lag year-to-date.
Eight of the eleven S&amp;P sectors are solidly in positive territory year-to-date. Industrials (XLI) are still on top of the throne, but we saw quite a rebound from the communications (XLC) sector in recent sessions.
Utilities (XLU) and consumer staples (XLP) are right in the middle of the pack, which is another boon for bulls. If either of these sectors, or even healthcare (XLV) starts to climb in the next week or two, we can start preparing for a market pullback. Until then, ride the wave.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Comparing Leaders (Sector ETF: XLI/XLK)&nbsp;</h3>
I want to stack the two most important sectors of the moment this week to see where the money is flowing. Industrials (XLI) have been the leader year-to-date, but technology (XLK) has been the leader since the April 7 bottom.
This is reflected in the ratio chart between XLI and XLK, as it topped out in April and has been trending lower ever since. The big question now is whether we see a wedge formation or a channel, as these two scenarios suggest two very different outcomes.
If this is a channel, I expect XLK to keep outperforming XLI, but if this is a wedge, then we'll see XLK slow down and XLI reassume leadership. For the overall market, XLK leading is more bullish.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Junk Bonds Leading (Sector ETF: HYG/IEI)&nbsp;</h3>
You know what they say – credit leads – and when we see leadership from junk bonds (HYG), it's hardly a bearish signal, especially when it comes to its performance against 3-7 Year Treasuries (IEI).
Note how credit spreads blew out during the correction into the April 7 low. If anything, that was the event of the year, and the likelihood of that happening again in the next 6 months is not very high.
With respect to the longer-term trend, it was a higher-low, but it did take out the low from summer 2024. So, at this point, it's new all-time highs or bust for this ratio. If we're going to be bullish, we don't want to see this ratio turn sharply lower.

Junk bonds trade like stocks more than bonds, hence their "junk" status. But when it's leading, it suggests a calm sailing environment. Bull markets climb a wall of worry, and the press does a great job at keeping people worried as all the signals point to higher prices ahead.
Junk bonds give us an idea on the state of liquidity. When market conditions worsen, people seek safety in Treasuries and higher-quality names. Obviously, junk bonds do not fall into that category of quality.

Don't be surprised if we finally see a liftoff in the price of Bitcoin in the coming days. It continues to consolidate above the critical $100,000-$105,00 support level that acted as major resistance throughout early 2025. Above this key technical level, bulls are in control of this market.
The duration of this wedge formation lends itself to the idea of a massive move coming. the very least, we're looking for it to go above 130,000-135,000, but I want to see a new all-time high in the coming days first.
It's still in an uptrend, but has spent the past several weeks consolidating near the highs, which as a rule, is bullish price action. There's no need to complicate things here, although I am starting to look at some other coins for even more upside. Stay tuned.

Rolling over a $1 million 401(k) to a financial advisor might seem like a smart move — but according to personal finance expert Suze Orman, there are some serious trade-offs to consider first.&nbsp;
In a <a href="https://omny.fm/shows/suze-ormans-women-and-money/ask-kt-suze-anything-throwing-money-at-a-problem-does-not-always-solve-it">recent episode</a> of the "Women &amp; Money" podcast, Orman shared her thoughts on a listener's situation and pointed out why early retirees should think twice before making the switch.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Listener's Dilemma</h2>
The question came from Jeff, whose husband retired early at age 57. While Jeff said the advisor has been helpful with other investments, he's concerned about fees and whether moving the entire 401(k) is truly in their best interest.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Orman's Warning: You Could Lose Penalty-Free Access</h2>
Orman's main concern? Early access. She explained that because Jeff's husband retired at 57, he qualifies under IRS Rule 72(t), which allows penalty-free withdrawals from a 401(k) if someone leaves their job in the year they turn 55 or later. That flexibility would disappear with a rollover.
"If you roll it over to your financial adviser," Orman said, "you cannot touch that money until you are 59½ years of age."

Orman also raised a flag about the Roth portion. If Jeff doesn't already have a Roth IRA with the advisor, the rollover could restart the five-year waiting period before earnings can be withdrawn tax-free.
That means even Roth funds could be locked up longer than expected, depending on how the rollover is done.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Consider a Split Strategy</h2>
"You don't have to be an all-or-nothing investor," Orman pointed out. Instead of rolling over everything, Jeff could consider leaving part of the 401(k) — especially the traditional part — where it is. That way, early access remains available if needed.
Before moving funds, Orman suggests asking a key question: "Will the advisor earn you enough to cover the higher management fees compared to what you're already earning in the 401(k)?"

"You won't be able to do a backdoor Roth if you have an IRA," Orman cautioned. "You will be able to do it if you have a traditional 401(k)."

According to the company, Williams will support the company's newly launched global initiative, Reckitt Catalyst, a £10 million ($13.7 million) commitment to scale up to 200 startups founded by women and underrepresented entrepreneurs by 2030. The initiative aims to expand access to health and hygiene solutions for 5 million people across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Williams told <a href="https://fortune.com/2025/06/26/serena-williams-reckitt-startups-founders-health/">Fortune</a> her work with Reckitt is aligned with her long-standing investment thesis: that underrepresented founders and overlooked markets offer untapped business potential. Williams said she had backed six unicorns before formally raising her inaugural $111 million fund.

Data cited by Reckitt shows that women-led startups deliver 35% better returns and create six times more jobs than male-led firms, yet they receive only 2% of global venture capital. The Reckitt Catalyst initiative is designed to address that gap by offering capital, mentorship, and expert guidance to women and minority founders in the health and hygiene sectors.
Williams said sectors like hygiene are frequently overlooked in Silicon Valley. "It's not flashy. But it's foundational, especially for women, mothers, and children," she told Fortune.

In her new role, Williams will mentor Catalyst entrepreneurs and connect them with her network of business partners and investors. "Venture is about relationships," she said. "A 30-minute conversation can unlock new partnerships or investment opportunities."

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Global Call For Applications</h2>
Reckitt has opened applications for Catalyst. According to the company, the program will partner with Yunus Social Innovation, Acumen America, and the Health Innovation Exchange to identify entrepreneurs across more than 15 countries.
"Some of the world's most pressing healthcare challenges can be solved by bold, innovative ideas—if they are given the right support to thrive and scale," Williams told Fortune. "This includes mentorship, funding, and unwavering belief."

Dimon said the real opponent of the U.S. is "the enemy within," pointing to stalled infrastructure, ballooning city pensions, and multiyear permit delays. Pointing to California's high‑speed rail project, he argued that domestic inefficiencies—like cost overruns and bureaucratic delays—undermine U.S. competitiveness more severely than any foreign adversary.

"I knew more when I was 11 than I know now," Buffett said, laughing.
Despite being 92&nbsp;years old, Buffett recalls perfectly that he spent $114.75 on March 11, 1942, for the transaction.
Buffett later read "The Intelligent Investor" by&nbsp;Benjamin Graham&nbsp;and said it changed his thoughts on investing. Buffett from that point forward stopped buying stocks and instead bought companies. The investor has a 10-to-20-year long-term outlook on purchases.
Surprisingly enough, Buffett told Rose he hopes that stocks he buys go down in the short term, so he can buy more.

What's Next:&nbsp;As the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett says he has the most interesting job in the world. He told listeners that choosing what you do and who you work with are important.
He reflected on meeting his investing partner, Charlie Munger, in May 1959. "We've never had an argument," Buffett said of the late Berkshire vice chairman.
Buffett added that while many think this&nbsp;is impossible, it's true. The duo supported each other whether they agreed with a decision&nbsp;or not, he said.&nbsp;
Buffett doesn't plan on moving on from Berkshire Hathaway anytime soon and said there is a successor planned, but they're not warming up yet.

Redditors also recommended ETFs that follow the Nasdaq-100 due to its tech-heavy concentration. Tech stocks may produce outsized gains in the years ahead due to artificial intelligence. Although investors have heard about this technology for years, it's still in the early innings.
Even without artificial intelligence, the Nasdaq-100 and other tech-heavy benchmarks have outperformed the S&amp;P 500 over the past few years. For instance, the Nasdaq-100 is up by roughly 118% over the past five years, while the S&amp;P 500 has only gained 97% during the same stretch.
The Nasdaq-100 also outpaces the S&amp;P 500 year-to-date and over the past year. When the stock market rallies, funds that track the Nasdaq-100 tend to grow faster than funds that track the S&amp;P 500.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Focus On Low-Cost ETFs</h2>
While the S&amp;P 500 and Nasdaq-100 are two popular benchmarks for ETF investors, Redditors emphasized the importance of investing in low-cost ETFs. While each investor has a different definition of a low-cost ETF, you'll be OK if you have an ETF with an expense ratio below 0.20%.&nbsp;
You'll get the lowest expense ratios if you invest in passively managed ETFs. These funds follow a predetermined benchmark instead of doing anything fancy like selling covered calls to increase the yield. You can find some passively-managed ETFs with expense ratios below 0.10%.
The expense ratio indicates how much money you must pay the fund manager to keep your money in the ETF. This expense happens automatically within the fund, so you'll never see the money directly leave your account. If you have $10,000 in a fund with a 0.10% expense ratio, you only have to pay a reasonable $10 to keep your money in the fund each year. However, if that same fund had a 1% expense ratio, you would have to pay $100 per year for that fund.
Investors are willing to pay extra for funds that significantly outperform the market, but most actively-managed funds don't hold up to the S&amp;P 500. It's better to invest in low-cost ETFs than it is to try your luck with an actively-managed ETF with a high expense ratio.

Bloomberg <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-07-04/india-plans-retaliatory-duties-on-us-goods-in-hardening-stance?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">quoted</a> Piyush Goyal, India&#8217;s trade minister, &#8220;Free trade agreements are only possible when it&#8217;s win-win for both nations.&#8221; India is negotiating on its own terms and won&#8217;t be driven by external deadlines, the minister said.
Though India has yet to detail the specific goods or rates it will target with these retaliatory measures, the move comes at a critical moment. Both countries are racing to conclude a bilateral trade agreement before a self-imposed July 9 deadline set by President Donald Trump.
Trump has threatened a sweeping 26% tariff on all Indian imports should the negotiations fail.
New Delhi has expressed willingness to lower some tariffs to ease trade tensions.
However, India continues to resist U.S. pressure to open its agricultural and dairy sectors—longstanding points of contention in previous trade discussions, Reuters adds.

Henrik Werdelin, co-founder of BarkBox and longtime startup advisor, has launched a new venture named Audos, which recently raised $11.5 million in seed funding led by True Ventures. Other investors include Offline Ventures, Bungalow Capital, and notable angel investors Niklas Zennström and Mario Schlosser,<a href="https://techcrunch.com/2025/06/26/this-ai-powered-startup-studio-plans-to-launch-100000-companies-a-year-really/"> TechCrunch</a> reports.
Based in New York, Audos offers AI tools and startup-building support to everyday people who want to launch <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/opinion/25/04/44813789/adapt-or-disappear-how-ai-is-leveling-the-playing-field-for-small-businesses-in-2025">small businesses</a> without any technical background. Unlike accelerators or traditional venture models, TechCrunch says that Audos charges a 15% perpetual revenue share instead of taking equity from founders.

Werdelin, who previously built startup studio Prehype, told TechCrunch that Audos combines years of startup-building expertise into an accessible platform anyone can use to launch a digital product.
"What we're trying to do is to figure out how you make a million companies that do a million dollars [in annual revenue]," Werdelin said. That goal, if realized, would create what he calls a trillion-dollar turnover business, a term that sets a new benchmark for bottom-up innovation.
The company uses social media platforms like <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/media/25/05/45510687/instagram-is-offering-creators-up-to-20000-to-bring-new-users-to-the-mark-zuckerberg-led-platform-heres-the-nitty-gritty">Instagram</a> and Facebook to reach potential founders and identify whether their business ideas can generate customers at a sustainable cost. According to TechCrunch, Audos's AI agent interacts with users directly, helping them clarify their offer and go to market quickly using natural language inputs.

So far, Audos has supported the launch of what Werdelin calls "low hundreds" of businesses in its beta phase, TechCrunch reports. These include ventures like a virtual golf swing coach, an AI nutritionist, a mechanic offering quote evaluations, and even an "after-death logistics" consultant.
Each founder received up to $25,000 in funding, access to Audos's proprietary tools, and support in distributing their offer through paid social ads. According to TechCrunch, Werdelin refers to these micro-businesses as "donkeycorns," signaling modest yet profitable ventures that aim to support personal freedom rather than billion-dollar exits.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Permanent 15% Cut May Spark Questions About Long-Term Cost for Founders</h2>
According to TechCrunch, Audos's model may spark discussion over the long-term cost of a 15% revenue share, which continues indefinitely like Apple's (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>)&nbsp; App Store platform fee. While some entrepreneurs may welcome the no-equity route, others could see the permanent cut as a costly tradeoff over time.

Werdelin acknowledged that the market is rapidly filling with similar AI tools, saying, "the world is full of these tools" and they are "getting better rapidly," TechCrunch says. Audos distinguishes itself by helping non-technical users go to market quickly using natural language prompts and social media targeting.
True Ventures partner Tony Conrad expressed confidence in Audos, citing its potential to support thousands who want to start small, independent businesses with real revenue potential. "There are just lots and lots of people" who need this opportunity, Conrad told TechCrunch.
Audos currently operates with just five employees but aims to expand its impact exponentially without building a large internal team. Werdelin believes the next wave of entrepreneurship should be built by people previously left out of the ecosystem. "We believe that the world is better with more entrepreneurship," he told TechCrunch, pointing to mom-and-pop shops as his inspiration rather than venture-backed unicorns.

Abbe Lowell, a prominent lawyer who has represented members of President Donald Trump&#8216;s family, expressed serious concerns about the potential harm that the current administration could cause to the country&#8217;s institutions.
What Happened: Lowell, who defended&nbsp;Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump&nbsp;during Robert Mueller&#8216;s Russian investigation, has voiced concerns about the pressure the White House is putting on the nation&#8217;s institutions. 
Lowell fears that these institutions may not be able to withstand the current strain. Speaking with <a href="https://www.ft.com/content/54e4cb31-44c4-45b1-ae0d-ce67d5c8c736">the</a> Financial Times, Lowell said, &#8220;I have never been as concerned as to whether our system can withstand the pressure it is being put to."
He also said that the White House is "pushing the tree to the point that it could break," noting that during Trump's first term, critics of the president said democracy was "tested but didn't break." 
Lowell, who has also represented prominent Democrats like Bill Clinton and Hunter Biden, was hired by Kushner and Ivanka in 2017 as the Russia investigation escalated. He is now warning that Trump&#8217;s actions in his second term could break the constitutional &#8220;wall&#8221; that separates the courts from executive power.

"The crack you put in the wall today becomes the gash tomorrow," Lowell told Congress back in 1998. Reflecting on that now, he told the outlet, "That wasn't a bad prophecy—the structure is more than cracked, though not yet crumbled."
Lowell has established Lowell &amp; Associates to fight against what he calls government &#8220;over-reach,&#8221; and has already attracted several defectors from other law firms. 
His clients&nbsp;include New York Attorney General&nbsp;Letitia James and&nbsp;former DHS official Miles Taylor,&nbsp;who are both hoping that Lowell&#8217;s aggressive approach can counter a series of executive orders targeting various institutions.
Why It Matters: Lowell&#8217;s concerns highlight the increasing tension between the executive branch and the nation&#8217;s institutions.
