The deal,<a href="https://www.stord.com/newsroom/stord-acquires-ware2go-from-ups"> announced</a> Monday, brings an additional 2.5 million square feet of fulfillment space into Stord's network and according to<a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/05/19/e-commerce-logistics-stord.html"> CNBC</a>, it strengthens its growing footprint across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and the Netherlands.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">A Founder Trained by Thiel and Backed by Titans</h2>
Sean Henry launched Stord at just 18 years old after dropping out of the Georgia Institute of Technology to join the Thiel Fellowship, CNBC says. The fellowship is a program offering ambitious young entrepreneurs $100,000 to pursue startups instead of college, according to the <a href="https://thielfellowship.org/">website</a>.
Stord is backed by a high-profile lineup of investors, including Kleiner Perkins, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/startups/24/12/42366606/peter-thiel-is-a-stanford-grad-but-thinks-college-is-such-a-waste-that-he-offers-100000-to-students-who-quit-compares-education-to-santa">Peter Thiel</a>'s Founders Fund, Franklin Templeton, and Strike Capital. The firms are fueling the company's ambition to "level the playing field" for independent e-commerce brands that struggle to match Amazon's fulfillment speed, Henry told CNBC.
According to Henry, the core problem facing small and mid-size merchants is the lack of scale. Competing with Prime requires a dense, distributed logistics network that most independent brands simply can't afford to build, CNBC reports.
By integrating Ware2Go's third-party delivery services into its platform, Stord aims to offer exactly that: a robust infrastructure that brings fast, efficient shipping within reach for thousands of businesses, the company says.

According to the company&#8217;s announcement, the Ware2Go acquisition follows other strategic moves in recent years: the purchase of Pitney Bowes' (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PBI#NYSE">PBI</a>) e-commerce fulfillment division, freight platform ProPack and direct-to-consumer fulfillment provider Fulfillment Works. GXO Logistics Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GXO#NYSE">GXO</a>) announced Thursday that it has renewed and expanded its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/g45560985/gxo-extends-longstanding-partnership-with-biom-rieux" rel="noreferrer noopener">longstanding partnership</a> with bioMérieux, extending a key logistics agreement to support the French diagnostics firm's global supply chain.
The renewed deal builds on a 20-year collaboration and includes a modernization of two warehouses in France, covering 39,000 square meters. The upgraded facilities will support distribution to 160 countries and feature automation and advanced systems to handle highly regulated medical products.
"This next phase continues our shared commitment to innovation and efficiency," said Vincent Ricci, GXO's managing director in France. He noted the partnership began in 2004 and has evolved through continuous improvements to bioMérieux's supply chain.
bioMérieux, a leader in In Vitro Diagnostics, relies on tightly controlled logistics to handle temperature-sensitive products. The new setup includes six temperature zones and a unified warehouse management system. GXO will oversee inbound and outbound logistics, while bioMérieux manages direct fulfillment and fast-moving storage operations.
The enhanced logistics model is designed to improve order accuracy, increase visibility, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. GXO's broader healthcare services also include emergency deliveries and inventory management across Europe and the U.S.
In France, GXO operates more than 65 logistics sites and employs nearly 10,000 people. It ranks as the country's second-largest logistics provider, serving clients in e-commerce, retail, consumer goods, and tech.
Recently, GXO Logistics was <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/g45514088/toolstation-selects-gxo-as-its-logistics-partner-in-the-netherlands" rel="noreferrer noopener">selected</a> by Toolstation to manage its logistics operations in the Netherlands—marking the first time the fast-growing retailer has outsourced logistics in the country.

"The downgrade to AA+ wouldn't make any difference," he said, as government bonds rated between AAA and AA- carry the same 0% risk weighting under Basel's framework.
He said rising deficits only become problematic when they cause inflation or resource scarcity—not because of arbitrary credit score thresholds.
According to Peccatiello, long-term bond yields are already pricing in much of the fiscal outlook, making current levels—particularly 30-year Treasuries above 5.25%—increasingly attractive for accumulation.

Hawley said the bill will help &#8220;restore Americans&#8217; trust in our nation&#8217;s legislative body.&#8221;
Hawley&#8217;s bill is being reintroduced as President&nbsp;Donald Trump&nbsp;<a href="https://time.com/7280114/donald-trump-2025-interview-transcript/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">said&nbsp;</a>he would support such a ban.
&#8220;Well, I watched Nancy Pelosi get rich through insider information, and I would be okay with it. If they send it to me, I would do it,&#8221; Trump told TIME.
