What happened: The Wall Street giant reported a significant stake in Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (BATS:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FBTC#BATS">FBTC</a>), with 3.53 million shares valued at $288.01 million. Goldman Sachs bought an additional 1.8 million shares of FBTC in the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31.
Additionally, it increased its exposure to the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IBIT#NASDAQ">IBIT</a>) to $1.27 billion after scooping up an additional 11.30 million shares of the world's largest Bitcoin fund.
Interestingly, the bank sold its entire stake in the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (BATS:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ARKB#BATS">ARKB</a>) and reduced exposure to the Grayscale Bitcoin ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GBTC#NYSE">GBTC</a>).

What Happened: Bitcoin started to slide in the morning hours and hit an intraday low of $94,875.04 before recovering to $96,000 late evening.
Ethereum fell back to the $2,600 zone a day after breaching $2,700. The two leading assets were down 2.61% and 5.19%, respectively, over the week.
In a significant development, Fed Chair Powell assured to "take a fresh look" at debanking, which the cryptocurrency industry had <a href="https://in.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/25/02/43477333/crypto-czar-sacks-says-potential-bitcoin-reserve-to-be-one-of-crypto-committees-first-priorities">complained</a> about during the previous administration.

Musk's attorney, Marc Toberoff told the publication that a four-page Letter of Intent outlining the bid was emailed to OpenAI's legal representatives at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen &amp; Katz.

Currently, Social Security taxes only apply to income up to $176,100 in 2025, meaning high earners stop contributing after that threshold. Raising or removing the cap would require top earners to pay more and increase their eventual benefits.
Another widely supported measure is gradually increasing the payroll tax rate from 6.2% to 7.2% for both workers and employers. The incremental change would generate more funding without significantly burdening middle-class Americans.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Myth of Working Longer as a Solution</h2>
While some believe people should work longer to improve retirement security, Ghilarducci strongly disagrees. &#8220;Not everyone is living longer,&#8221; she explained. While wealthier Americans in white-collar jobs often have longer life expectancies, many blue-collar and service workers face declining health due to physically demanding work, stress, and economic hardship. &#8220;A lot of jobs that aren&#8217;t blue-collar have become pink-collar … requiring a lot of heavy lifting, stooping and bending. Those jobs break bodies down,&#8221; she said.

Ghilarducci also backs a national retirement savings plan that would automatically enroll workers who don&#8217;t have access to employer-sponsored pensions. The Retirement Savings for Americans Act would create a government-administered pension plan with mandatory contributions. Workers earning below the median income would receive a 5% government match, helping them build long-term savings.
