Anthony Scaramucci, founder and CEO of SkyBridge Capital, expressed his agreement Saturday with billionaire hedge fund manager&nbsp;Philippe Laffont&#8216;s views that Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) has become central to investment portfolios.
What Happened:&nbsp;Scaramucci posted on X a CNBC story about Laffont&#8217;s Bitcoin advocacy during the recent Coinbase&#8217;s&nbsp;State of Crypto Summit in&nbsp;New York City.
&#8220;Coatue's Philippe Laffont is latest in long line of world's best fund managers to understand Bitcoin is the greatest macro investment of a generation,&#8221; the Bitcoin bull said.
Laffont, founder of tech-focused hedge fund Coatue Management, predicted that the apex cryptocurrency would become a key part of portfolios in the years to come.
Bitcoin accounts for a small amount of the world's net worth – about $2 trillion out of $500 trillion, he said. If one assumes Bitcoin will continue to grow and be seen as valuable by more people, then it "has to become more central" to a portfolio, CNBC quoted Laffont as saying.

Anthony Scaramucci Welcomes Philippe Laffont's Bitcoin Advocacy After Billionaire Hedge Fund Manager Says Apex Crypto Has Become 'Central' To Investment Portfolios

President Donald Trump is set to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba over the Trump administration's sweeping auto tariffs that have rocked the global auto industry <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45833037/auto-industry-struggles-as-supply-chain-issues-threaten-production-amid-chinas-export-curbs-on-rare-earth-minerals-report">with uncertainty</a>.
What Happened: Ishiba will head to the G7 summit in Canada's Alberta province, following talks between the two sides on Friday, Reuters reported on Sunday.
The meeting would be only the second in-person encounter between the two leaders, the report suggests. Ishiba has been the Prime Minister since October 2024, succeeding his predecessor, Fumio Kishida.
The report suggests that the meeting is crucial for Ishiba's government domestically. "I will make every possible effort to reach an agreement that benefits both Japan and the United States," he told reporters.
The two are expected to discuss Trump's 25% auto tariffs on Japanese car manufacturers, among other things. Some analysts cited in the report, however, say that failing to reach an agreement could prove to be beneficial for Ishiba at home.
"If it goes badly, it could even be seen as a positive for Ishiba, standing up to Trump and standing up for his country when he&#8217;s under assault." Data mentioned in the report suggests the tariffs could shave off over 0.9% of the country's total GDP.
Why It Matters: The news comes as Trump's auto tariffs continue to cast a shadow of uncertainty over the global auto industry. The president recently suggested that he <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45919154/trump-says-he-may-hike-auto-tariffs-again-to-boost-domestic-production-the-higher-you-go-they-build-a-plant-here">may hike the tariffs </a>to boost domestic production.
"I might go up with that tariff in the not too distant future. The higher you go, the more likely it is they build a plant here," the president said in a press event at the White House.

Despite this, Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors Co. Instead, it's in a trust made up mostly of stocks and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/mutual-funds">mutual funds</a>. &#8220;Me and my mom are splitting the dividends, the interest, and whatever income that trust brings in,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;It&#8217;s about, on average, according to the lawyer, about half a million a year.&#8221;
He and his mother will each receive $250,000 annually. When his mother passes away, her portion will transfer to him. When he turns 60, the trust will close and he'll inherit the principal.
Delony advised the caller to hire his own attorney &#8220;before the day is over.&#8221; &#8220;Not this trust, not somebody who was dishonest enough to not come out and tell you that they&#8217;re your father for 30 years, not your mom who did not tell you the truth,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I would have somebody else who is working for you.&#8221;

The couple lives just outside Indianapolis, a low cost of living area they chose intentionally. Their expenses are low in part because they've made some big financial decisions: their <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/real-estate/25/02/43789996/dave-ramsey-says-a-paid-off-mortgage-is-the-new-status-symbol-not-a-bmw-do-you-agree">house is fully paid off</a>, they drive a 2005 Toyota with over 200,000 miles, and they have zero debt.
Despite the tight budget, they don't stay home all year. They spend 4 to 6 months annually overseas in countries like Thailand, where they rent fully furnished apartments for as little as $400 per month and eat street food for less than the cost of cooking at home.

&#8220;Medicaid in 41 states is based on MAGI. No asset testing. It&#8217;s literally how our overlords designed it,&#8221; he explained.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Keeping Costs And Desires Down</h2>
The couple's monthly expenses break down like this:

Their income comes from a combination of selling short-term Treasury ETFs, dividends, an online side hustle, and occasional bank account signup bonuses. They say their IRA accounts continue to grow untouched.

Some Reddit users were skeptical of the couple's access to Medicaid with over $1 million in net worth. But the husband maintained that their eligibility is fully legal.
&#8220;Nothing unethical about it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;They set the rules of the game. It&#8217;s our job to know and play by the rules.&#8221;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">No Kids, No Problem</h2>
They say not having children makes this lifestyle possible, and many in the comments agreed. &#8220;No kids, no fancy cars, no keeping up with anyone,&#8221; he wrote. &#8220;But we&#8217;re free.&#8221;
While many FIRE enthusiasts plan for 4% withdrawal rates, the couple spends closer to 1.5% of their net worth per year. &#8220;You just have to actually want it more than you want stuff,&#8221; he said.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Exhausted, Not Defeated</h2>
They explained that the bulk of their debt came from a private university degree in archaeology and classics that cost $200,000. Although they&#8217;ve managed to pay a significant portion down, they still owe about $40,000. Add to that a $30,000 <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45523239/graham-stephan-explains-why-auto-loans-are-the-biggest-scam-in-america-its-scary">auto loan</a> and a personal loan taken out to help cover bills when student loan payments were $1,000 a month pre-COVID. &#8220;I couldn't afford to pay them and my other bills. So I <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/how-to-get-a-personal-loan">got a personal loan</a>.&#8221;

The poster, who now works as a traveling contractor in a scientific field, said their current approach is simple: &#8220;I will either figure it out and make it work or I won't. But I can't bring myself to fret anymore.&#8221;&nbsp;
&#8220;A few years ago I would have freaked out and sent myself into a panic attack,&#8221; the person wrote. &#8220;And now it's here and I honestly don't care.&#8221;

In the replies, many reflected those feelings of burnout, resignation and financial paralysis. One commenter put it plainly: &#8220;I'm 39, just <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/03/44408726/got-laid-off-so-i-went-all-in-on-living-frugally-redditor-shares-how-they-saved-big-and-why-these-tips-may-be-more-important-than-ever">got laid off</a> from my job of 13 years and I'm about to lose my apartment due to rent increase. I feel ya OP.&#8221;
Multiple people shared stories of six-figure debts, stagnant wages, medical emergencies, and housing instability. A recurring theme was the feeling that no matter how hard they work, they&#8217;re falling behind.
&#8220;It seems like every time we&#8217;ve finally &#8216;leveled up&#8217; in jobs, raises, etc., there&#8217;s been a huge jump in costs along with it,&#8221; wrote one person. &#8220;We can never get our heads above the water.&#8221;
Another person shared that their household income fell from six figures to just $25,000 in two years. With over $100,000 in debt, they said they were forced to put their home up for sale.
Some shared that they've given up on the idea of retirement altogether. &#8220;I&#8217;ve resigned myself to working until I die,&#8221; one said.

Though the post received plenty of support, a few commenters pushed back. &#8220;I understand the exhaustion, but I don&#8217;t think this is normal,&#8221; one person replied. Another warned, &#8220;You should not be perfectly okay with your situation. It's one thing to recognize and acknowledge your reality, but you need to use that clarity to inform your actions and decisions going forward.&#8221;
Even the poster admitted that while their mindset helps them cope, it&#8217;s probably not the healthiest: &#8220;People do have this exact thinking when it comes to their health. And it's definitely not healthy. And it's probably not healthy for me to think this way either. But I've done my freaking out for years and it's never done any good.&#8221;
Still, the overwhelming tone in the thread was solidarity, not judgment, and many said the post made them feel less alone.&nbsp;

Cuban's criticism of Bluesky in recent weeks could be a major headwind for the platform.

Cuban said Bluesky has "grown ruder and more hateful" in a recent post, as <a href="https://nypost.com/2025/06/12/business/blueskys-lack-of-diversity-of-thought-driving-users-back-to-x-mark-cuban/">reported </a>by the New York Post.

Adding insult to injury, several Bluesky users didn't like Cuban's criticism of the platform and told him to leave.

On X, Cuban has nine million followers. He has been posting more on the platform in recent days.
Cuban's last post on Bluesky was three days ago. On Bluesky, Cuban has 1.4 million followers and is the second-most followed person, trailing only Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (2 million).
The decentralized social media, which is an alternative to X, saw strong growth after X owner Elon Musk endorsed Donald Trump for president in the 2024 election. The platform also saw strong growth after Trump won the election in November 2024.
The Bluesky user base tripled from 10 million to more than 30 million between November 2024 and May 2025, the report said, citing Pew Research Center data.
With one of the largest voices on Bluesky critical and saying people aren't allowed to share different opinions without getting attacked, users new and old may be scared away and find themselves back on X.

The gaming retailer is specifically accused of implementing&nbsp;a Facebook tracking pixel on&nbsp;its website. This pixel allegedly sent customer&#8217;s personal information, including details of video game purchases, to Facebook without their knowledge or consent.
The settlement, which totals $4.5 million, applies to individuals&nbsp;who purchased a game from&nbsp;GameStop&#8217;s online store between August 18th, 2020, and April 17th, 2025. 
To qualify for the settlement, customers must have been Facebook members&nbsp;and maintained a public Facebook&nbsp;profile using their real name at the time of purchase.

Despite agreeing to the settlement, GameStop has not admitted to any wrongdoing. The company has, however, committed to permanently removing&nbsp;the tracking pixel to prevent&nbsp;future unauthorized data sharing.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) has unveiled iOS 26 and the Liquid Glass interface at its Worldwide Developers Conference. The event also highlighted enhancements to CarPlay, the Vision Pro, and the iPad.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, in his <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2025-06-15/wwdc-2025-biggest-releases-ipados-26-multitasking-visionos-26-and-new-carplay-mbxm63s2?srnd=undefined&amp;sref=TBDibEcD">latest</a> weekly "Power On&#8221; reported that the Liquid Glass interface, which unifies all of Apple&#8217;s operating systems for the first time, was the most discussed feature at the conference. However, other significant upgrades were also introduced, including to CarPlay and the iPad.
CarPlay for iOS 26 now includes the use of widgets, allowing users to view calendar appointments, weather updates, and stock tickers. Other enhancements include improved call notifications and texting capabilities, and the ability&nbsp;to AirPlay video from your&nbsp;phone to the car&#8217;s touch screen.
The iPad also saw significant changes, with Apple finally perfecting its approach to multitasking. Users can now easily move windows around,&nbsp;activate the Expose mode to&nbsp;view all active windows, and use&nbsp;the new toggles for window&nbsp;tiling.
Another highlight of the event was&nbsp;the new eye-scrolling feature on&nbsp;the Vision Pro headset, which allows users&nbsp;to scroll up and down&nbsp;webpages and apps by simply looking at them. The Vision Pro software also includes widgets that let users customize objects on the walls.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Personal Loans Keep Rising</h2>
Cardone's post reflects a growing concern in the U.S. as <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/05/45497552/americans-consumer-debt-hits-all-time-high-of-18-2-trillion-experts-say-some-borrowers-will-have-a-much-more-difficult-time-getting-credit-going-forward">consumer debt</a> keeps climbing. <a href="https://www.lendingtree.com/personal/personal-loans-statistics/">According to</a> LendingTree (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TREE#NASDAQ">TREE</a>), Americans owed a record $251 billion in personal loan debt as of the fourth quarter of 2024. That's a $6 billion jump from the year before.
And it's not just the total amount. TransUnion (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TRU#NYSE">TRU</a>) <a href="https://newsroom.transunion.com/q4-2024-ciir/">data</a> shows that the number of Americans with personal loans hit 24.5 million, up from 23.5 million a year earlier. While personal loan debt still makes up just 1.4% of all consumer debt, it accounts for 5% of non-mortgage debt. For comparison, credit card debt is much higher, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/02/43888952/americans-owe-a-record-1-21-trillion-in-credit-card-debt-expert-warns-theres-no-end-in-sight">sitting at $1.211 trillion</a>, or 6.7% of total outstanding debt.
According to TransUnion, the average personal loan balance per borrower is $11,607. Nearly half of borrowers take out loans just to consolidate or refinance other debt. Another 10% use the money to pay everyday bills.

As Cardone wrote, &#8220;You pay extra for everything&#8221; when you&#8217;re stuck in debt. High interest rates only make it worse. Borrowers with excellent <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/what-is-a-good-credit-score">credit scores</a> &#8212; over 720 &#8212; can expect personal loan APRs around 17.71%. But for those with poor credit &#8212; below 560 &#8212; rates skyrocket to over 200%, according to LendingTree data.
Despite high costs, personal loan use is expected to grow. People turn to them as credit card debt rises. LendingTree notes that many borrowers aren&#8217;t necessarily in crisis—they might be <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/home-equity-loan-for-remodeling">remodeling a home</a> or covering a big expense. Still, as Cardone puts it, for those already stretched thin, more borrowing can result in serious stress and financial strain.
<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/11/42080723/cathie-wood-sounds-alarm-on-us-auto-loans-as-90-day-delinquency-rates-surpass-2009-levels">Delinquency rates</a> also tell a cautionary tale. TransUnion reported that as of Q4 2024, 3.57% of personal loan accounts were 60 or more days past due. That's an improvement from the year before but still higher than rates for mortgages &#8212; 1.29% &#8212; or credit cards &#8212; 2.56%.
Cardone's message is harsh but timely. With debt balances climbing and millions relying on personal loans to stay afloat, his warning resonates: consumer debt doesn't just drain your wallet—it can drain your peace of mind.

Summer Fridays were once a common perk in corporate America, but are fading from the workplace thanks in large part to the rise of remote and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45908840/as-layoffs-mount-one-question-is-getting-louder-what-happens-to-skyscraper-offices-in-cities-like-boston-when-people-are-replaced-by-ai">hybrid work models.</a>
What To Know: The phrase, "Summer Fridays" traditionally refers to the benefit allowing employees to leave early or take Fridays off during the summer months and get a head start on the weekend.&nbsp;
However, as organizations have embraced flexible<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45905463/dont-design-policies-around-the-bottom-5-warns-stripe-president-says-top-remote-workers-are-coding-up-a-storm-in-an-idaho-cabin"> work arrangements</a>, the need for a dedicated "summer Friday" has diminished, and the perk has become increasingly rare.

Before the pandemic, Summer Fridays were widely offered as a morale booster and a way to attract talent in a competitive job market. In 2019, over half of U.S. companies provided some form of summer benefit, according to Gartner HR.&nbsp;
Following the shift to remote and hybrid work, only about a third of workers reported having access to this perk by 2024. The reason is clear: with employees able to work from home, the rigidity of the traditional workweek has loosened. 
&#8220;Summer Fridays were once seen as a perk that allowed employees some flexibility during the summer months,&#8221; Jonathan Weindel, head of data analytics at Envoy, told EBN. 
&#8220;This has just lost a lot of relevance today. And there&#8217;s a lot more intentionality around what employees are doing when they&#8217;re actually in the workplace, primarily Tuesdays through Thursdays.&#8221;
However, as companies prioritize productivity and profitability the Summer Friday tradition is being replaced by broader, year-round flexibility.
The evolution of work culture means that, while Summer Fridays may be disappearing as a formal policy, the underlying desire for flexibility and work-life balance remains strong.&nbsp;
In the end, the spirit of Summer Fridays may live on, even as the tradition itself fades into the background.

Summer Fridays Are Over—Blame It On Remote Work

During a recent episode of his <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gwrvsz-4xg">podcast</a>, &#8220;Office Hours with Prof G,&#8221; marketing professor and investor Scott Galloway had a straightforward message: America needs to stop shaming the unremarkable. "99% of us are not in the top 1%," he said, calling out a higher education system that, in his view, has abandoned most people.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Galloway: It&#8217;s Time To Respect The Unremarkable</h2>
Responding to a listener who asked what advice he has for young people who aren't elite students or high achievers, Galloway explained that he sees himself in that category. "I was unremarkable growing up," he said. "Didn't do well academically, didn't test well. But back then, America loved the unremarkable."

He criticized the current model of higher education, arguing that it prioritizes the wealthy and the exceptional. "Higher education in America is about helping the bottom 90%, not identifying tax breaks and programs to make the top 10% the top 1%," Galloway said.&nbsp;
"I feel like higher education is leading this downfall by deciding that we are there for the children of rich people or for the freakishly remarkable," he added.&nbsp;
To show how common the stigma still is, Galloway described how at social gatherings, people often lower their voices when mentioning that their child is <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41256368/college-dropout-makes-750k-per-year-in-real-estate-he-doesnt-sell-houses-or-own-a-single-piece-of-pr">dropping out of college</a>. "We all speak in hush tones," he said, "like the family's done something wrong or Bobby's mentally ill." He argued that this attitude is unfair and outdated. "A lot of kids are just <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45754862/peter-schiff-agrees-with-trump-that-college-isnt-worth-it-for-most-his-fix-scrap-the-minimum-wage-and-let-kids-learn-trades-on-the-job">not cut out for college</a>, especially a lot of <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/05/45570238/when-men-dont-have-money-theyre-just-less-attractive-says-professor-scott-galloway-as-men-without-college-degrees-now-earn-22-less">young men</a>."

He believes the U.S. needs to expand apprenticeships and stop fetishizing college degrees. According to him, in Germany and the U.K., 11% of young professionals have ‘apprentice' in their LinkedIn title. In the U.S., it's 3%.
Galloway highlighted the benefits of vocational training, citing that even high school juniors taking auto shop classes are earning up to $70,000 without completing their senior year.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Critique Of The American Workplace And Youth Policy</h2>
On the topic of returning to office work, Galloway stood by his long-held belief that the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/05/45483359/jamie-dimon-says-dont-tell-jpmorgan-what-to-do-as-he-tells-remote-workers-you-cant-learn-working-fro">office is key</a> for younger professionals to find mentorship, community, and even relationships. "One in three relationships begins at work," he said.

But he acknowledged that a blanket five-day <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/25/01/42903361/amazon-workers-return-to-office-with-some-exceptions-reported">return-to-office policy</a> can hurt caregivers and parents. Galloway said companies should recognize the needs of employees with caregiving duties or those with health struggles, suggesting they offer remote work as a thoughtful and practical benefit. He added that flexibility might come with lower pay but called it a fair trade-off.
He also criticized policies that favor older, wealthier Americans. "The average 70-year-old is 72% wealthier than they were 40 years ago. The average person under 40 is 24% less wealthy," he said. That's "an incredible transfer of wealth from young to old."
For young people trying to figure out their path, Galloway offers a grounding message: "Living a good life at modest means—getting up, taking care of your family, being a good partner, being a good citizen—there's real honor in that."
