On CNBC's &#8220;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/mad-money-lightning-round">Mad Money Lightning Round</a>,&#8221; Jim Cramer said he is ‘not a fan' of Novavax, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVAX#NASDAQ">NVAX</a>).
On Dec. 4, Novavax agreed to sell its Bohumil, Czech Republic-based manufacturing facility to Novo Nordisk A/S (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVO#NYSE">NVO</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42323263/wegovy-maker-novo-nordisk-to-buy-novavaxs-czech-republic-manufacturing-facility-for-200-million">for $200 million.</a>
Also, the Food and Drug Administration recently granted Emergency Use Authorization of the company&#8217;s<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/09/40688052/fda-approves-novavaxs-updated-covid-vaccine-targeting-currently-circulating-variants" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> updated COVID-19 vaccine</a>. The Novavax vaccine is included in the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/09/40752686/benzingas-stock-whisper-index-5-stocks-investors-secretly-monitor-but-dont-talk-about-yet">recommendations</a>.
The vaccine is the only protein-based option available in the U.S. for people aged 12 and older for the prevention of COVID-19.
When asked about Alliance Entertainment (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LNT#NYSE">LNT</a>), Cramer said Live Nation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LYV#NYSE">LYV</a>) is a better buy.
On Oct. 31, Alliant Energy posted better-than-expected quarterly results.
Cramer said he can't get behind Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NBIS#NASDAQ">NBIS</a>). &#8220;If I want AI, I will go for Nvidia (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NVDA#NASDAQ">NVDA</a>) as it comes down,&#8221; he added.
On Dec. 2, Nebius Group announced it entered a $700 million private placement financing agreement with institutional investors.
Innodata Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/INOD#NASDAQ">INOD</a>) is now a &#8220;very expensive&#8221; stock, Cramer said. &#8220;And I just think if you take a little off the table, you can always get back in.&#8221;
On Nov. 7, Innodata reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
When asked about Smith &amp; Wesson Brands (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SWBI#NASDAQ">SWBI</a>), he said, &#8220;Not my cup of tea, but I don't think it's a bad level to get involved.&#8221;
On Dec. 6, Lake Street and Craig-Hallum both downgraded the stock from Buy to Hold and cut their respective price targets from $18 to $13.

Eegee's, a beloved drive-through restaurant chain founded in Tucson in 1971, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed five locations—four in Tucson and one in Phoenix. Despite challenges, Eegee's continues to operate over 20 locations in Tucson and Phoenix. Local media <a href="https://www.kold.com/2024/12/06/eegees-closes-five-restaurants-files-bankruptcy/">reported</a> that the company owes significant debts, including over $1.2 million to Sysco and hundreds of thousands more to other vendors, with total liabilities ranging between $10 million and $50 million. CEO Chris Westcott cited various pressures as reasons for the restructuring, but local residents blamed 39 North Capital, Eegee's owner since 2018.
Trucking company Kal Freight filed for bankruptcy protection, saying its financial condition has been hurt by unprofitable efforts to become a vertically integrated business and a now-questionable investment in additional vehicles during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. The closely held company also faces litigation, including foreclosure actions, according to the <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/trucker-kal-freight-files-for-bankruptcy-protection-06194094">Wall Street Journal</a> citing a filing Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Houston.
Proma Group has <a href="https://www.promagroup.com/archive/news/68">acquired</a> Germany&#8217;s Recaro Automotive GmbH, enabling the company to exit bankruptcy and resume operations across Europe starting January 2025. Recaro's aftermarket seats will return to the market in January, with OEM production shifting to Italy where Proma is based. Several employees from Recaro&#8217;s Sales and Technology departments will remain in the Stuttgart area to ensure a smooth transition and customer support. Recaro&#8217;s operations in North America and Japan remain unaffected. Proma Group CEO Luca Pino praised the partnership as a blend of German industrial and Italian manufacturing excellence.

In addition to the&nbsp;$190 million&nbsp;cash payment in 2024 and an additional&nbsp;$10 million&nbsp;in 2025, Novavax expects the sale of the facility to result in annual operating cost reductions of approximately&nbsp;$80 million.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) head of vaccine safety says that President-elect Donald Trump's embrace of vaccine skeptics could be an opportunity for the science community to teach the public about the value of these life-saving drugs. However, if these efforts fail it could lead to "natural consequences."
The FDA's Peter Marks made the remarks Thursday at the Jefferies London Healthcare Conference. Marks is the current director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) at the FDA. The center ensures the safety and effectiveness of biological products, including vaccines.
Marks said now is the chance for scientists to make the case for vaccines, as Trump has named noted anti-vaccine crusader Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as his pick to be the next Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Bloomberg is also reporting that Trump is likely to pick surgeon and public health researcher Marty Makary as the next head of the FDA. Previously, Makary has criticized the agency's approval of COVID-19 booster vaccines. Additionally, he has written several op-eds on the pandemic including one claiming that the U.S. would achieve <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/well-have-herd-immunity-by-april-11613669731">herd immunity by April 2021 </a>and a more recent one arguing that vaccines shouldn't be <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-waves-another-covid-shot-through-fda-human-outcomes-data-195731c0">recommended universally</a> for lower-risk patients.

"If that doesn't work, and everything runs wild in the opposite direction, just as your kids learn natural consequences — if you put your hand on a hot oven, you will get burned, et cetera, that kind of thing — the American public will learn the natural consequences of what happens if vaccination rates fall too far, because we will start to see measles, polio, things that we should never see in a well-developed country, come back," said Marks, who was speaking virtually at the conference, <a href="https://www.statnews.com/2024/11/21/peter-marks-fda-rfk-jr-vaccine-safety/">STAT reported</a>.

This comes at after Donald Trump&#8216;s announcement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Health Secretary.
What Happened: As per <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a> on Friday, health stocks declined further during pre-market hours. Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PFE#NYSE">PFE</a>) saw a 0.58% drop after closing 2.62% lower at $26.02. Moderna Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MRNA#NASDAQ">MRNA</a>) was down by 1.56% while AstraZeneca plc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AZN#NASDAQ">AZN</a>) fell by 1.41%, and Novavax Inc. WHO Calls Vaccines 'Absolutely Critical' As Trump's Appointment Of RFK Jr Pulls Pzifer, Moderna Stocks Downhill

U.S. stocks could open on a negative note on Friday after the Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/econ-s/24/11/41991849/powell-with-strong-us-economy-fed-has-no-need-to-be-in-a-hurry-to-lower-rates">comments on Thursday</a> that the economy is showing enough strength that there is no need to be "in a hurry" on further rate cuts just yet.
Futures of all three major indices were down as investors processed crucial inflation and economic data released over the week.
"The economy is not sending any signals that we need to be in a hurry to lower rates. The strength we are currently seeing in the economy gives us the ability to approach our decisions carefully," Powell said, maintaining a wait-and-watch approach for the time being.
For now, the post-election rally in the equity markets seems to be slowing down as investors hedge their bets while booking some profits at the same time.

Cues From Last Session:
U.S. stocks ended Thursday in the red, with the tech-heavy Nasdaq falling the most.
Crude oil prices remained under the $70 mark, easing further on Friday due to fears of a slowdown in China resulting in lower demand.
Treasury yields edged up again as investors digested Powell's comments on the economy as well as rate cuts in the near future.
On the economic data front, U.S. initial jobless claims declined by 4,000 from the previous week to 217,000 in the week ending Nov. 9, compared to market estimates of 223,000.
The U.S. producer prices rose 0.2% month-over-month in October compared to a revised 0.1% gain in September, which is in line with market expectations.
Most sectors on the S&amp;P 500 closed on a negative note, with consumer discretionary, industrials, and healthcare stocks recording the biggest losses on Thursday.
However, information technology and energy stocks bucked the overall market trend, closing the session higher.

Insights From Analysts:
Powell's relatively hawkish tone has investors cautious in the markets, noted ING analyst Francesco Pesole.
This could result in a correction for the dollar, which is "testing the limit" of its longs, Pesole noted, adding that traders should exercise caution for the time being.
"Powell seemed to put greater emphasis on the strength of the economy&nbsp;and how that allows the central bank to approach the upcoming policy decisions ‘carefully'."
CME Group's FedWatch tool <a href="https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html">reflected</a> the fall in sentiment for another rate cut next month, with its probability declining to 62.1% from 72.2%.
Investors will also keep an eye on the retail sales data that is set to be released later today.
However, Sonu Varghese, global macro strategist at Carson Group, downplayed fears of a rebound in inflation, stating that there are "disinflationary trends" that will "likely keep a lid" on a rise in prices.
On the equity front, Varghese maintained his bullish outlook.
"Overall, economic strengths clearly outweigh areas of weakness, and the opportunities likely have a higher probability of coming to fruition than the threats. The balance favors continued strength for equities, which is why we're maintaining our overweight to stocks, especially US stocks."

President-elect Donald Trump picked Robert F. Kennedy Jr., known for his vaccine skepticism, as his nominee Thursday to lead the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/10/41127143/us-hhs-reveal-cost-savings-for-54-prescription-drugs-including-novartis-cancer-drug-ozempic-could">Department of Health and Human Services. </a>
This move, which comes after Kennedy ended his presidential campaign and endorsed Trump, positions the environmental activist to potentially reshape national health policies. The selection has stirred mixed reactions, particularly from public health experts, <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/2024/11/14/robert-f-kennedy-jr-trump-hhs-secretary-pick-00188617">Politico</a> reports.
&#8220;For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,&#8221; Trump said in a tweet announcing the decision. 
As Benzinga reported earlier this month, Kennedy has a history of spreading falsehoods about vaccines, including that they cause autism, a theory disproven by scientific studies. His selection as the nominee for HHS secretary comes against a backdrop of falling vaccination rates, which coincide with, in one example, 13 measles outbreaks in the U.S. so far this year. 
What Happened: Trump's decision is part of a broader promise to "let Kennedy go wild" with health and food policies, aiming to overhaul the HHS. Kennedy has expressed sharp criticisms of several health agencies.
