Elon Musk&#8216;s claim regarding President Donald Trump&#8216;s connection to the undisclosed Jeffrey Epstein files has ignited a political uproar.
What Happened: Musk made a shocking statement on X, saying,&nbsp;&#8220;Time to drop the really&nbsp;big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in&nbsp;the Epstein files. That is&nbsp;the real reason they have&nbsp;not been made public.&#8221; 
He, however, did not present any supporting evidence for his claim.
Despite the absence of any concrete proof, House Democrats have capitalized on Musk&#8217;s statement, with two oversight committee members calling for&nbsp;a response from Justice Department&nbsp;officials.
While Trump&#8217;s association with Epstein, the late financier and convicted sex trafficker, is public knowledge, there are no records indicating Trump&#8217;s involvement in Epstein&#8217;s illegal activities. The President has consistently refuted any allegations of misconduct related to Epstein.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, labeled Musk&#8217;s allegations as &#8220;unfortunate&#8221; and hinted that Musk&#8217;s discontent with the One Big Beautiful Bill could be the driving force behind his claims.

During his 2024 presidential campaign,&nbsp;Trump had expressed his willingness to make&nbsp;government documents related to Epstein&nbsp;public if he were to be elected.
The phrase &#8220;Epstein files&#8221; remains ambiguous.&nbsp;Attorney General Pamela Bondi and&nbsp;FBI Director Kash Patel have&nbsp;committed to releasing documents related to Epstein in the Justice Department&#8217;s possession. 
However, other agencies potentially holding Epstein-related documents, such as the CIA, have not commented on the issue.
Meanwhile, Musk has deleted some of his posts on X, including one in which he said Trump was named in the Epstein files. He also deleted a tweet announcing his intention to decommission SpaceX&#8217;s Dragon spacecraft.
"I will apologize profusely as soon as there is a full dump of the Epstein files," Musk said in a post which was deleted later on.

The <a href="https://www.metalsfocus.com/product/gold-focus/">annual publication</a>, which provides comprehensive data and forecasts for the gold market, notes the complex environment characterized by higher supply and a decline in demand from jewelry fabrication, which is expected to weaken by 9%.
Despite this demand factor, the consultancy anticipates gold prices to set a new record annual average of $3,210 per ounce, driven by investor unease over the economic and geopolitical climate.
In 2024, mine output rose to an all-time high of 3,661 metric tons and is expected to increase slightly again to 3,694 tons this year. This growth stems from new mining projects and the continued strength in countries such as Mexico, Ghana, and Canada. Recycling activity, which reached a 12-year high of 1,368 tons last year thanks to substantial contributions from China, is expected to remain flat in 2025 due to constrained near-market stocks and persistent bullish sentiment.
Regardless of the expected increase in overall supply, the market has limited room for maneuver, as the projected surplus of 840 tons is relatively modest in the context of global demand and investment flows.
Retail demand, however, is under pressure. Jewelry fabrication decreased by 9% in 2024 and is projected to decline by a steeper 16% in 2025, with the largest impact in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/08/40403404/rising-gold-prices-take-the-shine-off-chow-sang-sang">price-sensitive regions</a> such as India and China.
High prices are proving a deterrent, though some resilience remains in other regions when adjusting for the dramatic rise in value. Industrial demand has been surprisingly strong, especially in the electronics sector, where the surge in AI-driven technology has led to a 9% increase in consumption for 2024. This trend is expected to continue, with a further 3% growth anticipated this year. However, other segments, like dental and decorative applications, are showing signs of decline, reflecting ongoing long-term structural shifts.
Yet, investment interest remains strong, especially among institutions and Asian retail investors. Furthermore, a volatile global environment and a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/commodities/25/05/45617358/gold-demand-holds-firm-as-dollar-confidence-wavers">strengthening de-dollarization</a> sentiment have driven diversification strategies. Fears regarding the escalation of U.S. debt, interest rate trajectories, and potential trade conflicts under the Trump administration have all contributed to this trend.
Central banks&#8217; continued buying plays a notable role. Trump vs. Musk: Trump Hints at Canceling Musk's Contracts: 'We'll Take a Look at Everything, He's Got a Lot of Money.' Here's How Musk Responded

Mark Cuban knows how to troll with a purpose—especially when Elon Musk is involved. But when he sent Musk a congratulatory text for the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/personal-finance/25/03/44333836/built-like-a-juggernaut-with-a-solid-heart-of-gold-shivon-zilis-shares-tribute-to-her-newborn-son-with-elon-musk">birth of yet another child</a>, he didn't expect a reply that sounded straight out of a sci-fi pitch meeting: "Mars needs people."
That's not a punchline. That's the actual text Cuban says he got back.
In a 2022 <a href="https://youtu.be/L_8wm30tLyc?si=hDUjVR1lzQrCgh0b">appearance on the "Full Send Podcast"</a>, Cuban got real about the limits of AI, the longevity of human health, and, naturally, Musk. "He's a different dude," Cuban said, when asked whether they'd ever be close. "I know Elon like a tiny bit. He had another kid—this is before the last three or whatever—and I'm like, ‘Dude, congratulations. How many are you going to have?' He goes—sends me a text back—‘Mars needs people.'" Cuban added, "That's what he does."

Cue stunned laughter from the podcast hosts. Cuban shrugged, "I don't think he likes me."
And while the line reads like a classic Musk troll, he's dead serious about it. Musk has long argued that humanity's best shot at survival is becoming a multiplanetary species. He's repeatedly said Earth is vulnerable—nuclear war, pandemics, rogue AI—and wants to build a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45612033/elon-musk-touts-spacexs-starship-rocket-ahead-of-launch-says-it-can-reach-mars-in-six-months">self-sustaining city on Mars</a> with up to a million people by 2050. So yeah, when he says "Mars needs people," he's not joking—he's recruiting.
By 2024, Cuban was still retelling the story—this time on <a href="https://youtu.be/fiK6IWhDbWU?si=1R19dO6tXBmcG5sj">"This Past Weekend with Theo Von"</a>—adding a little more context and a few more jabs. "I helped him with something, or tried to, so I had his number," Cuban recalled. "He had a kid and I'm like, ‘Congrats on your 97th kid,' and he texts me back: ‘Mars needs people.' And I'm like, that's funny as f&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A;."
But the bromance stops there.

Cuban said things got a little rockier when he tweeted something less-than-glowing about Tesla. Musk didn't take it well. "He just sends me a text with the article and it says, ‘F&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A; you.' That's it. Just ‘F&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A; you,'" Cuban laughed.

Despite the name-calling, Cuban made it clear he still respects Musk's entrepreneurial streak. "SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla—dude's the entrepreneur of our generation," he said. "There's nobody close."
Even with that praise, Cuban's stance is unbothered. "He says some stupid s&#x2A;&#x2A;&#x2A;," he admitted. "And I have no problem calling him out."
As for whether they'll ever squash the beef?

A Florida family thought they were upgrading their kitchen. Instead, they say they got a disaster — one that soaked their home, drained their finances, and may soon head to court.

John's resident Bradley Byrd and his family purchased a $3,500 KitchenAid refrigerator <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/management/25/05/45248740/charlie-munger-says-the-secret-is-to-find-costcos-not-good-exits-saying-his-wealth-came-from-relentless-holding-and-not-slick-sell-signals">from Costco</a> in December. The fridge was delivered and installed by a third-party company contracted by the warehouse-club chain — but just six hours later, Byrd got a FaceTime call from his daughter that stopped him cold.
"Dad, the house is underwater," she told him.

Byrd rushed home to find water flooding the floors. Video footage he later shared shows the damage: soaked carpets, standing water, and furniture floating. The family says the refrigerator's water line had been installed incorrectly — a critical error that allegedly caused the line to rupture after being pinched beneath the fridge's wheels.
"They allowed the refrigerator's wheels to sit on a line, which caused a crack that grew larger and larger," Byrd told News4JAX.
The result? Mold, structural damage, and a $700,000 headache, according to a public adjuster's estimate. The family was forced to evacuate their home just before Christmas and spent months living in an Airbnb. They've since returned, but Byrd says their home is still partially unlivable — with no working kitchen or bathroom, and lawn chairs and folding tables standing in for real furniture.
"We purchased these lovely tables to prepare food on and to eat at," Byrd said, with dry irony.

The contractor responsible for delivery and installation, RXO Last Mile, declined to comment, reportedly stating that the issue is not its to resolve
"They drop the ball and are hoping that I foot the bill with my life savings for their bottom line," Byrd told News4JAX.
He's now documenting the ordeal publicly on CostcoWaterDamage.com and even paid for local billboards to raise awareness. His site includes a detailed cost breakdown, showing the scope of the damage and his mounting expenses, which include:

According to data highlighted by Charlie Bilello, the chief marketing strategist at Creative Planning, Monster Beverage has provided a 32.6% annualized return over the last 30 years since Aug. 18, 1995.
The data shows that if an investor had bought positions worth $10,000 in the beverage company, they would have a total of $44,496,814 today.
The exchange-traded fund tracking the S&amp;P 500 index, SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>), rose 1,868% in the same period, providing a 10.4% annualized return. Thus growing a $10,000 investment into $196,840 over the 30 years.
The top five S&amp;P 500 performers apart from MNST, according to Bilello&#8217;s list, include Nvidia, Amazon, Axon Enterprises Inc. Why It Matters: Shares of Monster Beverage have risen by 22.25% on a year-to-date basis, whereas it has gained 23.24% over the last year.
The technical indicators painted a strong picture for the stock. It closed at $63.95 apiece on Friday, which was above its short and long-term simple daily moving averages.
The relative strength index of 67.46 was closer to the overbought conditions but still in the neutral zone. A positive MACD line of 1.33 suggested that its 12-day exponential moving average was above its 26-day EMA, indicating a bullish momentum.

The big news for the sector in recent weeks was the decision by OPEC to keep output unchanged after discussing increasing output for the month of July. This decision could keep the price of oil steady. In May, the company announced quarterly results with earnings per share beating analyst estimates and revenue missing estimates. In May, the company also <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/25/05/45664619/shell-boosts-nigerian-deepwater-assets-with-totalenergies-stake-purchase">announced a deal</a> between its Nigeria Exploration segment and TotalEnergies SE's Nigeria Limited segment, which increases Shell's total ownership from 55% to 67.5%. The deal comes as Shell is looking to increase its total production annually.

Spotify Technology (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPOT#NYSE">SPOT</a>): The music streaming company saw shares hit all-time highs thanks to some analyst upgrades and notes. A <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst-color/25/06/45750281/spotify-stock-smashes-records-goldman-sees-200-billion-music-streaming-market-by-2035">report from Goldman Sachs</a> said the global music market could double in size over the next decade with Spotify a potential winner. The report predicts global paid subscribers for music streaming will hit 1.51 billion by 2035 with 75% of the growth coming from emerging markets. Spotify had a 35% market share for global paid music streaming in 2024 with 263 million subscribers. Goldman Sachs said Spotify could further monetize their user base with fan promotions and selling concert tickets. JPMorgan also recently raised the price target on Spotify from $670 to $730 while maintaining an Overweight rating. Canaccord recently maintained a Buy rating and raised the price target from $700 to $775. Another item potentially helping Spotify could be a rush of Taylor Swift fans, aka Swifties, to the platform to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/entertainment/25/06/45783291/spotify-early-winner-from-taylor-swift-buying-back-old-albums-a-love-story-for-fans-streaming-company">listen to her older songs</a> and records now that she owns the rights to all of her music.

The company said the combination will lead to new standards for digital investigations and smart device security. The acquisition is expected to expand the total addressable market size for Cellebrite's public and private sector efforts. Needham analysts also <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/CLBT/analyst-ratings">reiterated a Buy rating </a>on Cellebrite with a $24 price target recently.

Why It Matters: Fast-forward to 2024, Google has rolled out <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/02/43485518/google-ais-search-revenue-matches-traditional-ads-says-alphabet-but-there-is-rising-competition-from-openai-perplexity-deepseek">AI Overviews</a> which are brief answers generated by its Gemini model that sit atop traditional links and aim to "do the searching for you." The feature already drives material revenue, Alphabet executives told investors, even as publishers like <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/legal/25/02/43930715/google-sued-over-ai-search-overviews-education-company-says-tech-giant-is-stealing-content-and-driving-publishers-out-of-business">Chegg sue</a> over content reuse.
Meanwhile, a report from earlier in the year suggests Larry Page is likely building a new <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44184371/google-co-founder-larry-pages-ai-startup-could-change-product-manufacturing-forever-report">AI-backed startup</a> called Dynatomics, an enterprise focused on improving manufacturing processes. The Google co-founder currently has a net worth of $153 billion, making him the seventh wealthiest person in the world, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/billionaires/profiles/lawrence-e-page/">Index</a>. Diversifying investment is a critical element of building a quality portfolio. However, diversification was much easier said than done before Bogle helped make Vanguard a household name. Retail investors who wanted to build investment portfolios by themselves had to become knowledgeable in multiple investment sectors. Then they had to identify stocks with growth or upside potential and track them constantly to figure out when to buy, hold, or sell.
Aside from that, an investor's best option was to buy into a hedge fund, which brought about a different set of complications. First, they were not always available to non-accredited investors. Second, many of the best hedge funds had high fees that ate up a significant portion of any passive income or profits the fund generated. Buffett, who has always been known for his frugality and pragmatism, was never a big fan of hedge funds.&nbsp;

Buffett was vocal about his preference for passive index funds like Vanguard's because they offered similar performance to hedge funds without the high fees. Buffett believed that index funds offered better returns once management and trading fees were taken out of investor profits from hedge fund investments.
Buffett's convictions were so strong that he famously "put his money where his mouth was" in 2008. He made a $1 million challenge to any hedge fund manager who could beat the returns he generated by investing in passive index funds over a decade. Tom Sedies, who was managing Protegee Funds at the time, took Buffett up on his bet, and the race was on.
Buffett chose Vanguard's<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/money/best-sp-500-index-fund"> S&amp;P 500 index fund</a>, while Sedies relied on a combination of five hedge funds. By the time it was over, the<a href="https://www.ft.com/content/3f449299-318c-4c8f-ab7a-bb3fa7221f9c"> Financial Times</a> reported that the Vanguard fund Buffett chose had returned 126%, while Sedies' hedge funds only generated 36% returns during the same period.&nbsp; Buffett planned to make the results public at his Berkshire-Hathaway (NYSE: <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BRK-A">BRK.A</a>, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BRK-B">BRK.B</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BRK-B">shareholders' meeting</a>, but he also invited Bogle.

Buffett proclaimed Bogle "has probably done more for the American investor than any man in the country,&#8221; during his keynote speech. &#8220;I estimate that Jack, at a minimum, has saved and left tens and tens and tens of billions into their pockets, and those numbers are going to be hundreds and hundreds of billions over time," Buffett continued. It was high praise considering the source.
Buffett's endorsement put index funds on the map in a way that they hadn't been before. It helped pave the way for Vanguard to become a household name and gave millions of investors an alternative to expensive hedge funds. Buffett had long crusaded against high management fees, and Bogle helped him show investors there was an equally effective way to diversify their holdings.&nbsp;

Real estate investor and financial influencer Graham Stephan recently explained in an interview how he <a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@grahamstephan/video/7508240524713659679?lang=en">uses debt to build wealth</a>.
"I have a lot of good debt," he stated in the conversation.&nbsp;
He expanded on what it means to have good debt vs. bad debt. The benefits of going into debt can outweigh the setbacks if you know how to use it correctly.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">You Should Make Money With Good Debt</h2>
Stephan defines a good debt as a financial obligation that allows you to earn more money than you spend. If you pay $3,000 per month in housing costs for a rental and collect $3,500 per month in cash flow, you have good debt.&nbsp;
Some real estate investors may argue that an asset that produces slightly negative cash flow is also a good investment since it builds equity, and you can raise rent prices over time to make the cash flow positive in the future.&nbsp;
This type of debt can help you build wealth faster than if you operated without debt. Good debt allows you to multiply money and leverage other people's money to improve your finances.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Have A Higher ROI Than The Interest Rate</h2>
Stephan explains that if you borrow money at 10% APR for your business and get a 50% ROI on the borrowed money, you are using debt productively. Stephan offers many examples that revolve around knowing the interest rate and generating a return that's higher than the interest rate.
Thinking in percentages makes it easier to distinguish the difference between good debt and bad debt. For instance, credit cards are a well-known example of bad debt. Consumers often get into credit card debt by making unnecessary purchases and rack up high interest rates in the process.&nbsp;
If you need to borrow money for a business expense, you're better off avoiding high balances on credit cards. The APR on most credit cards ranges from 19% to 29%, depending on your creditworthiness and other factors.

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Smart Tax Write-Offs</h2>
Stephan also mentions that if you have a 6% interest rate on a car that produces a 10% return since it's used for business, you can treat it as good debt. However, cars have an additional perk. If the car is a business expense and qualifies, you can deduct a portion of your car's value from your taxable income during the first year.&nbsp;
This accelerated depreciation schedule can free up more capital and boost your overall return. You will have to make monthly auto loan payments for a while, but you can trim your tax bill considerably when you buy the vehicle. This write-off is mentioned in Section 179 of the IRS tax code.
Some people don't mind paying a 6% interest rate on an auto loan if they can use depreciation to make less of their income taxable at their highest tax rate. Real estate is another asset that enables many tax deductions on top of the potential returns you can realize by renting your property.&nbsp;
