Venus Concept Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VERO#NASDAQ">VERO</a>) shares traded higher on Wednesday after the company secured $23.24 million in bridge financing from <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44706310/why-venus-concept-shares-are-trading-higher-by-over-200-here-are-20-stocks-moving-premarket">Madryn Health Partners</a>.
What To Know: Venus Concept announced that entered into a Loan and Security Agreement with lenders last year. The company announced late Tuesday that the lenders agreed to provide bridge financing of approximately $23.24 million, up from the previous agreement of up to $5 million.
In addition, Venus Concept announced it exchanged $11 million in subordinated convertible notes for 379,311 shares of Series Y preferred stock. This transaction reduces the company&#8217;s total debt to approximately $35.5 million, down significantly from $76.7 million a year ago and from $39.7 million at the end of last quarter.
The price action in shares potentially reflects the investor response to a combination of new capital inflow and a reduced debt burden. The financing deal and debt conversion may signal stronger short-term liquidity and an effort to restructure obligations, both of which appear to be giving traders confidence.
It&#8217;s also worth noting that Venus Concept is considered a low-float stock with just 536,698 shares available for public trading, per <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a>. Today, Walmart hosted its investment meeting where the company's leadership team highlighted the consistency and strength of the company's business operations and strategy. Walmart showcased its resiliency and its ability to innovate, change, and continue to deliver growth and shareholder value.
Doug McMillon, president and CEO, Walmart Inc., expressed confidence in Walmart's ability to navigate against a more fluid backdrop, given improved business flexibility and profit diversification.
He also emphasized the company's resilience, having successfully managed through periods of uncertainty over the company's history. McMillon also highlighted Walmart's ongoing transformation, driven by investments in customer and member experiences, technology and a flexible business model designed to adapt to changing market conditions.
"While in the short term we are not immune to some of the effects businesses face in today's operating environment, we are uniquely positioned to play offense," McMillon said. "Changes we're making to our business add even more strength and flexibility for our future. We're an ‘and' company. We're people and tech; stores and eCommerce; innovation and execution."

He reiterated Walmart's commitment to growing operating profits faster than sales, driven by scaling digital and related businesses, including membership, advertising, data and Fintech.

Walmart International is on track to meet its goal set in 2023 of reaching $200 billion in GMV and doubling profits and digital mix by 2028 having grown net sales by 9.1% and operating income 17% in constant currency 1over the past fiscal year.

Walmart Reaffirms Its Strategy To Fit For Today And For The Future

Global Blockchain Acquisition Corp. (the "Company") (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GBBK#NASDAQ">GBBK</a>) today announced that it will cease its operations as of April 14, 2025 (the first business day following the end of the business combination period, the "Record Date"), and as promptly as reasonably possible but not more than ten business days thereafter, will redeem all of its outstanding shares of common stock that were included in the units issued in its initial public offering (the "public shares"), effective as of the close of business on the Record Date, as the Company will not consummate an initial business combination on or prior to April 12, 2025.&nbsp;
Pursuant to the Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation, if the Company does not complete its initial business combination by April 12, 2025 (subject to the Board's election to contribute funds to the trust account in order to extend monthly), then the Company will: (i) cease all operations except for the purpose of winding up, (ii) promptly redeem the public shares within ten business days thereafter, at a per-share price, payable in cash, equal to the aggregate amount then on deposit in the Company's trust account including interest earned on the funds held in the trust account (less taxes payable), divided by the number of then outstanding public shares, which redemption will completely extinguish public shareholders' rights as shareholders (including the right to receive further liquidation distributions, if any), subject to applicable law, and (iii) thereafter, subject to the approval of the Company's remaining shareholders and its board of directors, dissolve and liquidate, subject in each case to the Company's obligations under Delaware law to provide for claims of creditors and the requirements of other applicable law.
The public shares will cease trading on April 13, 2025. As of the close of business on April 13, 2025, the public shares will be deemed cancelled and will represent only the right to receive the redemption amount.
The redemption amount will be payable to the holders of the public shares upon delivery of their shares. Beneficial owners of public shares held in "street name," however, will not need to take any action in order to receive the redemption amount.
There will be no redemption rights or liquidating distributions with respect to the Company's warrants or rights, which will expire worthless.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent addressed the policy in a White House press conference, calling it a long-overdue correction to global trade imbalances. He emphasized that the 10% tariff rate is a temporary floor meant to provide more predictability in international commerce.
Bessent also took aim at China, highlighting the trade deficit and accusing Beijing of acting in bad faith. He said the new tariff structure creates leverage for future negotiations and gives U.S. businesses room to breathe.

Retail Stocks Rally On Tariff Pause: What's Going On?

If Warren Buffett was the voice of calm in the financial world, Charlie Munger was the dry, sharp-edged whisper reminding everyone not to do anything stupid.
The legendary investor, who died in November 2023 just weeks shy of his 100th birthday, left behind more than just billions and Berkshire Hathaway stock. He left behind decades of quotes—Mungerisms—that read like a masterclass in life, investing, and avoiding disaster. And in one of his final <a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/30/full-transcript-from-cnbcs-charlie-munger-a-life-of-wit-and-wisdom-.html">interviews with CNBC's Becky Quick</a>, recorded two weeks before he death, he summed up his secret to a long, successful life in one perfect line:
"Avoid crazy at all costs."

Then, with the kind of understated menace only Munger could deliver, he added:
"Crazy is way more common than you think. It's easy to slip into crazy. Just avoid it, avoid it, avoid it."
It was classic Munger: witty, blunt, and almost annoyingly accurate.
Though he downplayed any "secret" to long life, the billionaire investor made it clear he lived by one core strategy—don't blow yourself up. "My game in life was always to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/02/43903504/charlie-mungers-financial-success-and-longevity-advice-my-game-in-life-was-always-to-avoid-all-standard-ways-of-failing">avoid all standard ways of failing</a>," he said. Whether it was personal vices or financial recklessness, Munger dodged them with near-religious consistency. "You teach me the wrong way to do something, I will avoid it," he said. "And, of course, I've avoided a lot, because I'm so cautious."

That caution was more than just a lifestyle—it was a business philosophy. Buffett once summed it up like this: "There are only three ways a smart person can go broke: liquor, ladies, and leverage." Munger agreed. While the two could have doubled Berkshire Hathaway's value by using borrowed money, they didn't. Why? Because they didn't want to destroy the wealth of everyday shareholders if things went south. "We ran it very cautiously," Munger explained.
When asked what "crazy" actually looks like, Munger pointed to exactly those traps—addiction, overconfidence, reckless risk-taking. "If it can take that many fine people into deep trouble," he said, "stay away from it."
