U.S. stock futures rose Tuesday morning as investors looked ahead to upcoming earnings reports and awaited greater market clarity throughout the week.
Things haven&#8217;t moved all that much on the trade and tariffs front, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent merely stating on Monday that <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/45038824/treasury-secretary-scott-bessent-says-its-up-to-china-to-de-escalate-trade-tensions-india-to-be-the-first-trade-deal-to-be-signed">it was up to China</a> to &#8220;de-escalate&#8221; trade tensions. Bessent also hinted at a potential trade deal with India, saying that &#8220;it would be one of the first deals we would sign,&#8221; which investors will be watching closely.
This is set to be a packed earnings week for Wall Street, with four of the &#8220;Mag 7&#8243;— Microsoft&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSFT#NASDAQ">MSFT</a>),&nbsp;Meta&nbsp;Platforms&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>),&nbsp;Apple&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>),&nbsp;and Amazon&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>), set to release their quarterly results over the next couple of days.
On Tuesday, investors will be closely watching the results of several heavy-hitters, such as Visa Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/V#NYSE">V</a>), Coca-Cola Co. The company posted quarterly earnings of $5.67 per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $6.02 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $4.73 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $4.86 billion.

Crude oil futures are trading down 0.46% during the early New York session, at $62.73 per barrel.
Gold Spot U.S. Dollar continued its decline, and is down 1.72% on Monday, trading at 3,275.24 per ounce, down from its record high of $3.400 per ounce last week. The U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) is up 0.03%, trading at 99.626.
Asian markets were mixed on Monday, with Japan&#8217;s Nikkei 225 Index ending up 0.38%, South Korea&#8217;s Kospi up 0.10%, followed by Indian, Australian, and New Zealand indexes edging up, with the only laggards being China&#8217;s Shanghai and Shenzhen. European markets are all up in early trade.

Analysts changed <a href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/45013364" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">their price forecasts</a>.</li>
<li>Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NOC#NYSE">NOC</a>) shares dipped 12.43% after the company reported worse-than-expected results and lowered its FY25 EPS guidance. Several analysts <a href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/44965915" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">lowered their price forecasts</a>.</li>
<li>Erie Indemnity Company (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ERIE#NASDAQ">ERIE</a>) stock plummeted 11.95% after it reported financial results <a href="https://www.benzinga.com//node/44995337" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">and missed its EPS estimate</a>.</li>
