Solana Rallies 40% Off The Lows: Is This Momentum Sustainable Or Just Another Bull Trap?

Project funding is to come from state sources and will be included in Granite's first-quarter CAP.
This infrastructure project will transform the existing asphalt paved roadway from FM 548 north of US 80 to Windmill Farms Blvd into a concrete paved roadway, including additional travel lanes and drainage upgrades. Project improvements will provide increased traffic capacity to help relieve traffic in the rapidly growing City of Forney and surrounding Kaufman County, particularly through the busiest commercial area in the city.
The scope of the project includes over 200,000 square yards of 10" concrete pavement and over 40,000 linear feet of new storm drain.
Granite is excited to contribute to the growth and development of Forney and Kaufman County, enhancing the quality of life for residents and supporting the area's economic expansion.
Construction is expected to begin in July 2025 and be completed in March 2027.

Streaming giant Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NFLX#NASDAQ">NFLX</a>) reported first-quarter financial results after <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings">market close Thursday.</a>
Here are the key highlights.
What Happened: Netflix reported first-quarter revenue of $10.54 billion, up 12.5% year-over-year. The revenue total beat a Street consensus estimate of $10.52 billion according to data<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pro/register?utm_adType=bzprocontent&amp;utm_campaign=14daytrial&amp;utm_ad=0417"> from Benzinga Pro.</a>
The company reported earnings per share of $6.61, beating a Street consensus estimate of $5.74.
Revenue and operating income came in ahead of company guidance, according to the company. Netflix said higher subscription and advertising revenue and the timing of expenses contributed to the guidance beat.

 What's Next: Netflix is guiding for second-quarter revenue to be $11.04 billion, which would be up 15.4% year-over-year. Earnings per share for the second quarter is $6.61. The company maintained its full-year revenue guidance of $43.5 billion to $44.5 billion.
The company said its live event strategy remains unchanged and highlighted an upcoming boxing match on July 11, as well as the addition of a second NFL game on Christmas Day in 2025, which it opted into.
Netflix also highlighted the upcoming third season of "Squid Game," its most popular series ever. The season will debut on June 27, 2025. Netflix also said its game "Squid Game: Unleashed" based on the series has been one of its biggest games to date and will have new content based on the third season.
"We remain optimistic about our 2025 slate with a lineup that includes returning favorites, series finales, new discoveries and unexpected surprises designed to thrill our members," the company said.
Netflix said it launched it ad tech platform in the US on April 1 and is on track to roll out the platform to other countries in the coming months.
"We are working hard to improve and expand our entertainment offering with the goal to build the most valued entertainment company for members, creators and shareholders."

Similarly, Apple is putting $250 million into expanding its regional hub in Singapore (<a href="https://www.wsj.com/world/asia/apple-to-spend-more-than-250-million-to-expand-singapore-hub-1fdd736e">WSJ</a>). Companies like Microsoft and Coinbase are hiring their teams in Latin America, taking advantage of favorable time zones and highly skilled, cost-efficient talent. 
These are not just isolated moves. They're part of a broader investment shift. U.S. businesses are currently reconsidering how and where they are hiring, building teams and allocating their capital to more flexible, cross-border strategies that meet modern workforce demands.&nbsp;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What drives the shift to these regions?</h2>
The shift to hiring in the emerging regions has been influenced by several factors. Looking at the numbers, 28% of the U.S. workforce was engaged in remote work as of June 2023 (<a href="https://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/2024/beyond-bls/high-work-from-home-rates-persist-in-2023.htm">U.S. Bureau of Labour Statistics</a>). This trend shows no signs of slowing down, prompting U.S. companies to expand their search for talent beyond domestic borders.&nbsp;
The shortage of skilled labor in the U.S. also emerges as a top factor in the shift. The Bureau of Labor Statistics also predicts a shortage of more than 1.2 million engineers by 2026 (Forbes). With demand for tech talent far outpacing supply, U.S. companies are turning to regions like Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia, where skilled professionals are abundant and often more cost-effective. 
In addition, businesses prioritise maintaining productivity while controlling costs. Hiring in these regions allows companies to work with top-quality talent without the overhead of office space, benefits, and high wages typical in the U.S.&nbsp;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The benefits for the U.S. companies</h2>
One of the strongest motivators behind investing in remote teams abroad is cost efficiency. At Native Teams, we recently explored hiring trends across the U.S. and the APAC region and came up with a few interesting findings.
79% of global executives reported cost savings from flexible work models, mainly by reducing office space (IWG). The fact that 25% of Native Teams' U.S.-based clients currently hire in APAC only confirms that investing in teams in this emerging region brings the benefit of cost efficiency. 
Salaries in the region also play a role. As of mid-2024, the average annual salary for a U.S.-based remote worker was $61,178 (<a href="https://neat.no/resources/top-remote-work-statistics/">NEAT</a>). While the benchmarks for the APAC region remain limited, the historically lower salary costs and the cost-optimization reported by businesses speak about the financial appeal of building distributed teams in these markets.
Tech and remote-first roles remain in top demand in this region. According to our proprietary data, the most commonly hired roles in APAC include software development (33%), project management (14%), customer success (10%), and HR and recruitment roles (10%). India leads in technical roles, the Philippines shows strength in project management, while Indonesia's talent pool is broader, with a higher share of generalist roles.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Challenges and risk factors</h2>
When we talk about the challenges of hiring in global markets, labor law compliance remains on top. Hiring in different regions means dealing with the varying employment and tax laws of these countries. 
Take paid leave policies, for example. While U.S. employers are not legally required to offer paid vacation time, countries in the EU have more stringent regulations. For instance, all EU member states are mandated to provide at least four weeks of PTO per year (exact numbers varying by country) &#8211; a standard not found in the U.S.
Termination procedures count here as well. In the U.S., employment termination is "at-will", meaning either party can terminate the relationship at any time. Contrary to this, in some countries, like India, employers must obtain permission from local authorities to terminate employment in certain cases.&nbsp;
Workers' classification presents another major challenge. In the U.S., workers are classified based on the employer's control over their activities. This is not the case in regions like Eastern Europe and LATAM. In fact, some countries have laws that require certain categories of gig workers to be classified as employees, entitling them to benefits like health insurance and a pension.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The role of EOR services</h2>
The benefits for U.S. companies hiring in the emerging markets are evident &#8211; but so are the legal complexities. Starting from employment contracts, payroll, and benefits administration, ending at termination policies, even the smallest misstep can be very costly. This is one of the main reasons why U.S. employers increasingly rely on Employer of Record (EOR) services.
In simple terms, an EOR acts as the legal employer on the ground, handling contracts, payroll, taxes, benefits, and legal compliance. This enables U.S. companies to hire talent in emerging markets without opening local entities.&nbsp;
The demand for the EOR model is growing fast. According to IEC Group, the EOR market is growing at a CAGR of 16.7% annually and is projected to hit $12 billion by 2030. For U.S. companies looking to invest in global talent, EORs are no longer optional &#8211; they're a strategic asset.&nbsp;
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Regional trends in cross-border hiring</h2>
Many U.S. companies look beyond domestic borders to access global talent, with regions like Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia becoming key hotspots for hiring.&nbsp;

Buffett's Advice: With<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/education/25/04/44838040/melinda-french-gates-talks-about-navigating-panic-attacks-and-personal-reinvention-after-micros"> a new book</a> titled "The Next Day: Transitions" on the way, Gates has been making the rounds with multiple interviews to promote the book.
Along the way, Gates is also sharing details about her new philanthropic effort, her split from Bill Gates and how legendary investor Warren Buffett has played an important role in her life.
Gates <a href="https://www.wsj.com/style/melinda-french-gates-pivotal-memoir-the-next-day-c3472c50">told </a>the Wall Street Journal that she writes down a lot of quotes that people tell her over time so she can "replay them" in her head.
"Like if I get tough on myself about philanthropy, I remember what Warren Buffett said to us originally, which is ‘You're working on the problems society left behind, and they left them behind for a reason. They are hard right? So don't be so tough on yourself,'" Gates said. &nbsp;

Life Transitions: Gates said her new book is based on an idea from a commencement speech she gave at Stanford University, where she talked about life's twists and turns.
"You don't get to be my age without navigating all kinds of transitions," Gates said in the new book, as reported by <a href="https://fortune.com/2025/04/15/melinda-french-gates-book-divorce-gates-foundation-warren-buffett/">Fortune</a>.
The book goes into her transition from leaving the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and turning 60. "I have a lot more to say about transitions. So I just started to go ahead and do a book."
One of the details she revealed was how she and Bill viewed the effects their divorce would have on their professional and personal lives.
Buffett was one of the first people the couple called in May 2021 before going public about their divorce. Buffett, their long-time friend, had donated more than $39 billion to their foundation.
"He had made this enormous investment in the foundation and so whatever decision he would eventually need to make or not make about that was his. We both felt strongly he was one of the first people we needed to tell," Melinda Gates said.

Netflix shares are trading higher following a Q1 earnings beat and strong Q2 guidance.

Telsey Advisory Group analyst Joseph Feldman <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/TSCO/analyst-ratings">reiterated an Outperform</a> rating on the shares of Tractor Supply Co (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSCO#NASDAQ">TSCO</a>) with a price forecast of $67.00.
The company is scheduled to report its first-quarter FY25 earnings on April 24.
Tractor Supply&#8217;s sales are projected to grow 4.8% to $3.6 billion in the upcoming quarter, with comparable sales rising 1.3%, slightly ahead of the 1.0% FactSet consensus, said the analyst. 
The optimistic outlook is driven by improved weather conditions and the company's continued market share gains.

Despite a flat retail landscape and easing COVID-19 pandemic-era comparisons, weaker inflation may impact average transaction size, reflecting broader economic uncertainty, the analyst wrote.
Gross margin is expected to rise by 98 basis points to 36.3%, driven by better supply chain performance and a shift toward higher-margin private label and media segments. 
But, ongoing strategic investments like adding a new distribution center are projected to increase SG&amp;A costs by roughly 250 basis points to 28.7%, leading to an anticipated 60 basis point decline in operating margin to 7.6%, said the analyst.
Analysts reaffirm a 2025 EPS estimate of $2.20 for Tractor Supply, above the FactSet consensus of $2.16 and within company guidance. 
The outlook sees potential gains in the second half of the year as market conditions stabilize. The long-term thesis remains bullish, backed by the retailer&#8217;s &#8220;Life Out Here 2030&#8221; strategy.
