The Vanguard S&amp;P 500 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VOO#NYSE">VOO</a>) has shattered records, crossing $100 billion in annual inflows this year, a historic high for any ETF over the same period. 
Data from ETF.com shows that the fund witnessed $101.07 billion in fresh money from investors, more than the combined inflows of its two closest competitors: iShares Core S&amp;P 500 ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IVV#NYSE">IVV</a>) with $59.2 billion and SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPY#NYSE">SPY</a>) with just $22.9 billion.&nbsp;
In the multi-trillion-dollar exchange-traded fund industry, this trend is sparking debate over whether SPY, the world's largest ETF, is now on the brink of losing its long-standing crown.
<h3 class="wp-block-heading">$VOO Poised To Become The World&#8217;s Largest ETF Next Year </h3>
Despite SPY still holding the title of the world's largest ETF, with $620 billion in assets under management (AUM), the gap between it and VOO — currently at $579 billion — has narrowed to $41 billion.
&#8220;That means that there is a very real possibility that VOO overtakes SPY as the world's largest ETF as soon as next year,&#8221; commented Sumit Roy, senior analyst at ETF.com. 
&#8220;But even if that happens, SPY's slide down the ETF leaderboard might not stop there. IVV is also nipping at its heels, with $565 billion in AUM,&#8221; he added.

A key driver of VOO's success is its rock-bottom expense ratio of 0.03%, less than a third of SPY's 0.0945%. 
These differences have significant implications, especially for institutional investors managing billions.
A retail investor putting $5,000 into VOO at the start of the year would pay only $1.50 in annual expenses, while the same investment in SPY would cost $4.73 – basically an irrelevant difference. 
In sharp contrast, an institutional investor allocating $5 billion to VOO would pay just $1.5 million in fees, compared to $4.73 million with SPY—a staggering $3.23 million difference.

Nvidia is expanding <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/24/10/41516084/nvidia-chases-growth-in-india-ai-partnerships-with-reliance-infosys-wipro-expanding-into-robotics-an" rel="noreferrer noopener">AI partnerships in</a> India, with CEO Jensen Huang announcing collaborations with Indian tech giants like Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro to accelerate AI adoption, create jobs, and train nearly 500,000 developers.
Nvidia is also working with Reliance to develop a 1-gigawatt AI infrastructure center in Gujarat, leveraging India&#8217;s vast IT ecosystem to support next-gen applications.
Additionally, Nvidia is scaling data center capacity with Yotta Data Services and Tata Communications, increasing its GPU deployment in India almost tenfold within 18 months to meet growing demands across industries.

On Friday, Nvidia briefly overtook Apple Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) to become the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/24/10/41551461/nvidia-overtakes-apple-as-worlds-most-valuable-company-again" rel="noreferrer noopener">world&#8217;s most valuable company</a>. Nvidia&#8217;s market cap reached $3.53 trillion, surpassing Apple&#8217;s $3.52 trillion.
The shift reflects Nvidia&#8217;s stock surge, fueled by record demand for AI supercomputing chips. Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, noted that as more companies adopt AI in daily operations, demand for Nvidia chips stays robust.
According to Bank of America analyst Vivek Arya, Nvidia will be a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/24/10/41553696/ahead-of-q3-earnings-bank-of-america-names-beneficiaries-of-surge-in-hyperscale-spending" rel="noreferrer noopener">crucial beneficiary of</a> the tech giant&#8217;s artificial intelligence spending in 2025.

Nvidia Taps India's Growing AI Market, Partnering with Tech Giants and Scaling Data Centers

Walt Disney Co (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) named Morgan Stanley&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MS#NYSE">MS</a>) James P. Gorman as Chairman of the Board, effective January 2, 2025, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/24/10/b41426383/the-walt-disney-company-board-names-james-p-gorman-as-chairman-effective-january-2-2025" rel="noreferrer noopener">taking over from</a> Mark G. Parker.

Industry experts named key internal candidates like Dana Walden and Josh D&#8217;Amaro. Bob Iger returned as Disney&#8217;s CEO in November 2022 after serving as CEO and Chair from 2005 to 2020. In 2020, Iger was succeeded by Bob Chapek, but tensions reportedly arose between the two over the CEO office at Disney headquarters.

T-Mobile To Raise $2.5B Via Debt For Buybacks and Growth

The Invesco Russell 1000 Dynamic Multifactor ETF (BATS: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/omfl#BATS">OMFL</a>) was launched on 11/08/2017, and is a passively managed exchange traded fund designed to offer broad exposure to the Large Cap Growth segment of the US equity market.
The fund is sponsored by Invesco. It has amassed assets over $5.28 billion, making it one of the larger ETFs attempting to match the Large Cap Growth segment of the US equity market.
<h2>Why Large Cap Growth</h2>
Companies that find themselves in the large cap category typically have a market capitalization above $10 billion. They tend to be stable companies with predictable cash flows and are usually less volatile than mid and small cap companies.
Qualities of growth stocks include faster growth rates compared to the broader market, as well as higher valuations and higher than average sales and earnings growth rates. Something to keep in mind is the higher level of volatility that is affiliated with growth stocks. When you consider growth versus value, growth stocks are usually the clear winner in strong bull markets but tend to fall flat in nearly all other environments.
<h2>Costs</h2>
Expense ratios are an important factor in the return of an ETF and in the long term, cheaper funds can significantly outperform their more expensive counterparts, other things remaining the same.
Annual operating expenses for this ETF are 0.29%, putting it on par with most peer products in the space.
It has a 12-month trailing dividend yield of 1.57%.

The Russell 1000 Invesco Dynamic Multifactor Index is constructed using a rules-based methodology by selecting equity securities from the Russell 1000 Index, which measures the performance of the 1,000 largest-capitalization companies in the United States.
The ETF has added about 0.46% so far this year and is up about 5.06% in the last one year (as of 09/04/2024). In the past 52-week period, it has traded between $43.21 and $55.23.
The ETF has a beta of 1.01 and standard deviation of 17.55% for the trailing three-year period. With about 249 holdings, it effectively diversifies company-specific risk.

Among the investments include Harris having between $250,000 and $500,000 in a Target Date 2030 fund and between $100,000 and $250,000 in an S&amp;P fund and large-cap growth fund.
Emhoff has investments in several ETFs, including the iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF (BATS:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IEFA#BATS">IEFA</a>).
A Quiver Quant <a href="https://www.quiverquant.com/news/Kamala%20Harris%20Net%20Worth">report </a>shows the Vanguard Growth ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VUG#NYSE">VUG</a>) and the Vanguard Value ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VTV#NYSE">VTV</a>) as two of the largest holdings by the vice president and first gentleman. The House of Representatives is counting its 13th day without a leader <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/23/10/35135359/kevin-mccarthy-resigning-from-congress-after-being-ousted-as-top-house-republican-heres-what-former">after the ouster of U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy from the speakership position</a>.
McCarthy was removed from his role Oct. 3 in a vote in which the Democrats, together with eight hard-right Republicans, decided to remove a House speaker for the first time in U.S. history.
In the meantime, the House is frozen, unable to act. The situation has caused several urgent bills to become untouched, including <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/10/35270063/biden-pledges-support-for-israel-against-hamas-ukraine-against-putin-were-the-united-states-of-ameri">a proposal by President Joe Biden to send aid to Israel to assist in its conflict with Hamas</a>, as well as a new measure needed to avoid a looming government shutdown, which is approaching in one month.
Government Shutdown Stopgap Expires In 1 Month: The vote earlier this month left the Speaker chair vacant and the House in mayhem. The historic event proved a testament to the growing difficulties gnawing away at the GOP, whose increasingly bitter internal disputes are grinding Washington, D.C. to a halt. 
It remains to be seen which political figure will have the power to unite the GOP-led House and harness the necessary votes to win the speakership.
McCarthy's run as speaker was short-lived and tumultuous. Throughout his tenure, McCarthy negotiated <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/06/32704441/biden-signs-debt-ceiling-bill-to-avert-government-default">a high-stakes bill to raise the debt ceiling</a>, avoiding a default. Just last month, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/09/35019457/government-shutdown-avoided-congress-acts-just-in-time">Congress approved a stopgap bill aimed at preventing a full government shutdown</a>.
Yet the continuous resolution that allowed the government to continue to operate only lasts until Nov. 17, one month from now. If the House can't agree on a speaker in time, the government risks facing new shutdown risks. 
A House Divided: Within McCarthy's turbulent ride through the speakership position, one event stands out: his tortuous election for the role. It took 15 voting sessions to get McCarthy elected in January. He won the vote by 216 votes against New York Democrat Hakeem Jeffries, who received 212 votes.
McCarthy achieved the position after giving major concessions to hard-right Republicans who had been holding out on the vote.
Nine months later, the House appears even more divided. The House reconvenes on Monday and is expected to hold a vote for speaker at noon Tuesday. 
So far, only one candidate has been put forward by the GOP: U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, from Ohio.
Jordan is one of the co-founders of the conservative Freedom Caucus, and a friend and ally to former President Donald Trump. Jordan won a secretly held internal vote, by which the GOP voted 124 to 81 to put him ahead of Georgia's Austin Scott.
Scott, a more moderate Republican who sides with McCarthy, decided to run against Jordan in an effort to avoid ceding control of the House to far-right Republicans.
An internal poll conducted by House Republicans on Friday revealed that only 152 of them would vote for Jordan on a floor vote, while 55 would oppose him, <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/10/13/us/politics/house-speaker-jordan-scalise.html">according</a> to The New York Times. Jordan needs 217 votes to win the speakership if the House has full attendance.
All 212 House Democrats are expected to vote again for Jeffries. That leaves a big gap to fill for Jordan to win the speakership in a narrowly controlled House.
Jeffries said he would consider a coalition with Republicans who don't want Jordan on the role only if there's a change in House rules, allowing for both parties to choose what legislation is put up to vote. In the current scheme, Republicans have full control over which bills get a vote.
On Sunday, he told NBC "there are informal conversations that have been underway. When we get back to Washington tomorrow, it's important to begin to formalize those discussions."
Concurrently, allies of Jordan spent the weekend campaigning for him on social media, in an effort to flip the necessary representatives needed to put him in the speaker seat.
A recurring argument they used says that those Republicans who oppose Jordan are standing in the way of allowing the House to return to action.
Over the weekend, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/23/10/35251860/kevin-mccarthy-on-speakership-chaos-how-do-you-allow-4-of-the-conference-to-do-this-to-the-entire-co">McCarthy blamed the hard-right Republicans who voted against him</a> for being the ones who caused the turmoil and blocked the House.
"How do you allow 4% of the conference to do this to the entire country?" he said to reporters.
Stocks To Watch: Further turmoil in Congress could have a negative effect on high-risk stocks.
