Analyst Notes: Blockchain analytics firm CryptoQuant noticed a sharp spike in Bitcoin outflows from exchanges, indicating re-accumulation.
"The 100-day moving average of Bitcoin netflow from exchanges has dropped to its lowest level since February 2023. This essentially indicates the highest Bitcoin outflow from exchanges since that date," the firm added.

Widely followed cryptocurrency analyst Bitbull suggested two probable possibilities for Bitcoin: a breakout continuation or a pullback before the &#8220;real run&#8221; that may begin in September.

The S&amp;P 500 Futures are up 0.37%, at 5,531, followed by Nasdaq Futures at 19,416, up 0.49%, and finally Dow Futures trading flat at 40,248, down 0.03%. All three major averages are up for the week, with one day left to go.

Japan&#8217;s Nikkei 225 benchmark index opened higher on Friday morning, marking its third-straight session of gains. It is up 1.57%, or 528 points, at the time of writing this, taking cues from Wall Street. Tech stocks are leading the rally, while entertainment, retail, and real estate witness a pullback. Japan&#8217;s government has <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/44999320/japans-counterpunch-to-trump-tariffs-emergency-measures-deployed-as-us-trade-talks-loom">announced a number of emergency countermeasures</a> to combat the adverse effects of tariffs imposed by the United States.

In November, Charles Schwab President <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/24/11/42136031/charles-schwab-prepares-for-spot-cryptocurrency-trading-under-new-leadership">Rick Wurster said</a> that the firm, which already offered cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds and futures, would offer spot cryptocurrency trading once it believed that the regulatory environment in the U.S. had improved. Now, with several regulatory agencies <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/25/02/43857831/sec-scales-back-crypto-enforcement-expands-focus-to-cyber-fraud">changing their tune on the nascent market</a> months into the Trump administration, Wurster has offered a concrete timeline for the move.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Spot Cryptocurrency Trading Coming To Charles Schwab Soon?</h2>
Wurster said that Charles Schwab will likely launch spot cryptocurrency trading services &#8220;in the next 12 months,&#8221; in a Q1 earnings <a href="https://seekingalpha.com/article/4775965-the-charles-schwab-corporation-schw-2025-spring-business-update-conference-call-transcript">call</a> last week, a move that will better position the firm to compete with firms like Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HOOD#NASDAQ">HOOD</a>) and Fidelity.
Wurster disclosed this timeline when asked whether the firm intended to shift from its cautious approach to the cryptocurrency market to better compete with its peers.
&#8220;Our expectation is that with the changing regulatory environment, we are hopeful and likely to be able to launch direct spot crypto and our goal is to do that in the next 12 months and we&#8217;re on a great path to be able to do that,&#8221; he said.

The firm in February <a href="https://riabiz.com/a/2025/2/20/charles-schwab-corp-names-head-of-digital-assets-with-no-cryptocurrency-chops-but-entrusted-by-inner-circle-to-make-big-critical-decisions-fast">named</a> Joseph Vietri, its&nbsp; branch network head, to the newly created role of head of digital assets.
These steps come as Wurster said Charles Schwab is seeing significant interest in its cryptocurrency-facing business.
&#8220;We are doing well in crypto already today,&#8221; he said during last week&#8217;s call, citing growth in new accounts and a 400% increase in visits to Charles Schwab&#8217;s cryptocurrency website. He said that the data suggested that market participants are seeking &#8220;a trusted brand&#8221; to work with.
&#8220;We&#8217;re confident we will be a great destination for investors interested in crypto,&#8221; Wurster said.
Meanwhile, Charles Schwab&#8217;s planned launch of spot trading services is not the only way it is expanding its involvement in the cryptocurrency space.

"I don't think we want a full-scale tariff war as high as both sides can make it," Munger said. "That would be massively stupid."
He acknowledged that negotiations would likely leave both countries feeling bruised, but insisted that discomfort was part of the process.
"If both of them are a little disappointed with the negotiations and feel roughed up, that's the way they should feel," Munger said. "Since a settlement is so much better than a trade war for both sides, they ought to just get used to having a little loss of face and make some kind of a settlement. And I think they will."
As global leaders grapple with renewed trade tensions, Munger's words serve as a reminder: "A good settlement is better than a lovely world war."
