What To Know: Costco shares are moving higher Thursday, adding to gains of nearly 10% since the start of the year. The stock has almost recovered all of its losses since its last earning report in early March, which included a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/03/44180426/costco-q2-earnings-revenue-beat-eps-miss-comps-up-6-8-driven-by-strength-in-the-us">shortfall on earnings</a>. Management also provided cautious commentary on the earnings call in anticipation of tariffs.
The stock appears to be getting a boost from Walmart Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WMT#NYSE">WMT</a>) earnings on Thursday. Walmart shares initially traded higher on the report, and Costco shares followed. Walmart shares have since pulled back, but Costco shares are holding onto gains. 
On the conference call, Walmart executives noted that February was soft, but demand returned to normal in March and was stronger than expected in April. Walmart also reaffirmed its guidance for full-year 2025, which may be fueling some optimism for Costco&#8217;s upcoming report.
Costco is due to report fiscal third-quarter results in the coming weeks. The company is expected to report earnings of $4.24 per share and revenue of $63.21 billion, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a> estimates. 
Costco said last week that net sales in April were up 7% on a year-over-year basis. Net sales since the start of the year were up 8.2%, the membership-based wholesale retailer said. 
JPMorgan reiterated an Overweight rating on Costco last week, highlighting <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/price-target/25/05/45298451/jpmorgan-sees-more-upside-for-costco-as-us-sales-e-commerce-outperform">strong global momentum</a> and a rebound in big-ticket items, which account for about 20% of the retailer&#8217;s core sales.

The company confirmed that the investigation did not affect financial results.
Russell will remain on the board, with former Nuance CEO Paul Ricci set to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45423503/luminar-announces-leadership-transition">take over</a> on May 21. Ricci brings a track record in scaling tech companies and building AI-driven platforms.

But along with the rest of the healthcare sector, it is still in a steep downtrend. The news regarding <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care/25/05/45443695/why-is-unitedhealth-stock-trading-lower-on-thursday">potential fraud at</a> UnitedHealth Group Incorporated (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UNH#NASDAQ">UNH</a>) has put pressure on the entire sector.
But there is a good chance that Amgen finds a bottom soon. It may even reverse and head higher. This is why we have named it our Stock of the Day.
The shares are oversold.
The lower part of the chart is the Stochastics Momentum Indicator. If the blue line is below the lower horizontal red line, it indicates oversold conditions. As you can see, that is the case now.

This means that the shares have been aggressively sold and are trading below their typical or normal range. This could draw buyers into the market.

Many trading strategies are based on the concept of reversion to the mean. This means buyers will be anticipating a reversal or move higher and their buying may become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The shares are also getting close to a potential support level.
$255.50 was support in March 2023. It was also support in December 2024. Price levels that had previously been support can become so again because of trader and investor psychology.
Sometimes, people who sell shares while a stock is at a support level come to regret their decision to do so if the price rallies after. Many decide that if they eventually can, they will buy their shares back at the same price they sold them for.
As a result, if the stock eventually reverses and drops back to the support level, they place buy orders. If there are enough of them it will create support at the price again.
This is what happened with Amgen. If it continues to trend lower there is a good chance that it finds support at this important price again.
There is also a good chance that it rallies and reverses off of this level for a third time.

Addentax Group Corp. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ATXG#NASDAQ">ATXG</a>), a China-based diversified business group, stock skyrocketed on Thursday after it announced plans to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/n45436963/addentax-group-corp-announces-800-million-plan-to-acquire-bitcoin-btc-and-official-trump-trump">acquire up to $800 million in crypto</a> via a share-based deal. The stock gave up its gains later.
The company announced plans to acquire up to 8,000 Bitcoins and other major cryptocurrencies, worth around $800 million, through a potential share-based transaction, signaling a major strategic pivot into the digital asset space.
The company is negotiating with several influential cryptocurrency holders to purchase up to 8,000 Bitcoins and assets such as the Official Trump coin. Based on current market prices, the estimated value of the proposed acquisition stands at approximately $800 million. While the discussions are advancing, no definitive agreement has been finalized.
ATXG views the potential transaction as a key component of its long-term strategy to expand its presence in the digital asset space. By issuing common stock in exchange for crypto assets, the company aims to strengthen its balance sheet while bringing experienced crypto investors into its shareholder network.

Addentax Takes $800 Million Bet On Bitcoin And Crypto

Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PLTR#NASDAQ">PLTR</a>) shares are trading slightly lower Thursday at $128.43 as of the time of writing, but remain near record highs after a nearly 500% <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45442127/palantir-soars-500-in-a-year-while-unitedhealth-tanks-40-tech-leaves-healthcare-in-the-dust]\">rally over the past year</a>.
What To Know: The stock is up more than 32% in the last month alone, significantly outperforming broader indexes like the S&amp;P 500, which gained around 9% over the same period, and even broader technology funds, like the SPDR Select Technology ETF (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XLK#NYSE">XLK</a>), which gained approximately 17%.
The move has been driven by strong investor demand for AI-related stocks and Palantir's position as a key player in government and enterprise analytics. The company reported $1.3 billion in free cash flow last year and has continued to secure new contracts in both public and private sectors, fueling significant revenue growth in recent years. The company&#8217;s current market cap stands at around $300 billion.
Palantir reported results for the first quarter last week, beating estimates on the top and bottom lines for the seventh consecutive quarter. 
Total revenue was up 39% year-over-year as U.S. revenue grew 55% year-over-year to $628 million. U.S. Commercial revenue grew 71% year-over-year to $255 million and U.S. Government revenue climbed 45% year-over-year to $373 million.
Palantir&#8217;s customer count grew 39% year-over-year and 8% on a quarter-over-quarter basis. The company closed out the quarter with $5.4 billion of cash, cash equivalents and short-term U.S. treasury securities.
Palantir guided for second-quarter revenue in the range of $934 million to $938 million versus estimates of $899.12 million. The company also raised its full-year guidance as CEO Alex Karp highlighted a &#8220;tectonic shift&#8221; in the adoption of the company&#8217;s software.
&#8220;We are delivering the operating system for the modern enterprise in the era of AI,&#8221; Karp said.
Despite a slight pullback on Thursday, the stock continues to reflect investor confidence in the company's AI-driven growth strategy, hitting new <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/25/05/45383727/palantir-stock-hits-new-all-time-high-on-strong-earnings-macro-tailwinds">all-time highs</a> earlier this week.
