Science Applications International Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SAIC#NASDAQ">SAIC</a>) reported weaker-than-expected earnings<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/SAIC/earnings"> for the first quarter on Monday.</a>
Science Applications Intl posted adjusted earnings of $1.92 per share, missing market estimates of $2.22 per share. The company posted quarterly sales of $1.88 billion versus expectations of $1.87 billion.
&#8220;Our performance in the first quarter reflects the steady progress we are making against our enterprise growth strategy despite a still dynamic operating environment,&#8221; said Toni Townes-Whitley, SAIC Chief Executive Officer. &#8220;As a premier mission integrator, the rapid evolution of new technologies, a renewed focus on deploying software to drive efficiency, and an elevated global threat environment create significant opportunities for SAIC. I am confident that SAIC is prepared and well aligned with these macro trends to drive value for our customers, employees, and shareholders.&#8221;
Science Applications reiterated the 2026 revenue outlook of $7.60 billion-$7.75 billion, below the analyst consensus estimate of $7.93 billion. The company maintained an annual adjusted EPS outlook of $9.10-$9.30 below the analyst consensus estimate of $10.24.
SAIC shares jumped 2.7% to trade at $102.95 on Tuesday.
These analysts made changes to their price targets on SAIC following earnings announcement.

<li>Of note for prudent investors is that the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has lowered the growth forecast for the world and for the U.S.&nbsp; OECD is a highly respected Paris based organization of 38 countries with the mission to promote growth and stability.

<li>OECD is citing tariffs as the trigger to reduce its forecast.</li>
<li>U.S. growth is projected to drop to 1.6% in 2025 and 1.5% in 2026.&nbsp; As a reference, the prior forecast was 2.2% and the U.S. grew by 2.8% in 2024.</li>
<li>The global growth forecast is being reduced to 2.9% in 2025 and 2026.&nbsp; As a reference, global growth was 3.3% in 2024.</li>

<li>For the time being, the stock market is oblivious as the following three factors dominate: 
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Blind money flowing into the stock market&nbsp;</li>
<li>Aggressively buying by the momo crowd</li>
<li>Wall Street doubling up on TACO trade (Trump Always Chickens Out)</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>The stock market has correctly figured out that, at this time, President Trump is sensitive to the stock market.&nbsp; The White House is going out of its way to create hope.&nbsp; The latest hope driving buying in the stock market is President Trump pushing to have a phone call with President Xi of China.</li>
<li>Also driving buying in the stock market is President Trump giving several countries a deadline to submit their best trade proposals.</li>
<li>Adding to the buying in the stock market is President Trump's "big beautiful bill" heading to the Senate.&nbsp; The momo crowd is excited about tax cuts, higher government spending resulting in higher deficits, and higher government borrowing.&nbsp; The momo crowd believes that all of these will take the stock market to a new high.&nbsp; The hopium is S&amp;P 500 going to 7000 quickly.</li>
<li>The problem for all of the bullishness in the stock market is that the bond market and the dollar may get in the way.&nbsp; Unlike the stock market, the bond market and the currency market are very concerned about the higher deficit and higher borrowing that will result from President Trump's "big beautiful bill."</li>
<li>In important news, especially for AI, at its annual meeting Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (TSM) CEO C.C. Wei is very bullish and believes tariffs will not impact TSM as the company will be able to pass them on.  TSM is important because it is the main manufacturer of chips for companies such as NVIDIA Corp (NVDA), Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD), Apple Inc (AAPL), and Qualcomm Inc (QCOM).</li>
<li>In a boost for nuclear power, Meta Platforms Inc (META) is striking a deal to buy about 1.1 gigawatts of electricity from Clinton nuclear plant in Illinois.  Clinton is owned by Constellation Energy Corp (CEG).  Nuclear stocks such as Vistra Corp (VST), Oklo Inc (OKLO), Nano Nuclear Energy Inc (NNE), Nuscale Power Corp (SMR), Lightbridge Corp (LTBR), and Centrus Energy Corp (LEU) are seeing aggressive buying in the early trade.  The buying may fizzle out as the day progresses.</li>
<li>JOLTS job openings was released at 10am ET.</li>
</ul>

In the early trade, money flows are positive in Nvidia (NVDA) and Tesla Inc (TSLA).

Consider continuing to hold good, very long term, existing positions. Based on individual risk preference, consider a protection band consisting of cash or Treasury bills or short-term tactical trades as well as short to medium term hedges and short term hedges. This is a good way to protect yourself and participate in the upside at the same time.
You can determine your protection bands by adding cash to hedges.&nbsp; The high band of the protection is appropriate for those who are older or conservative. The low band of the protection is appropriate for those who are younger or aggressive.&nbsp; If you do not hedge, the total cash level should be more than stated above but significantly less than cash plus hedges.
A protection band of 0% would be very bullish and would indicate full investment with 0% in cash.&nbsp; A protection band of 100% would be very bearish and would indicate a need for aggressive protection with cash and hedges or aggressive short selling.
It is worth reminding that you cannot take advantage of new upcoming opportunities if you are not holding enough cash.&nbsp; When adjusting hedge levels, consider adjusting partial stop quantities for stock positions (non ETF); consider using wider stops on remaining quantities and also allowing more room for high beta stocks.&nbsp; High beta stocks are the ones that move more than the market.
<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Traditional 60/40 Portfolio</h4>
Probability based risk reward adjusted for inflation does not favor long duration strategic bond allocation at this time.
Those who want to stick to traditional 60% allocation to stocks and 40% to bonds may consider focusing on only high quality bonds and bonds of five year duration or less.&nbsp; Those willing to bring sophistication to their investing may consider using bond ETFs as tactical positions and not strategic positions at this time.

Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRDO#NASDAQ">CRDO</a>) reported better-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025 after the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/CRDO/earnings">market close on Monday</a>.
Credo Technology Group reported fourth-quarter revenue of $170.03 million, beating analyst estimates of $162.96 million. The connectivity solutions company reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of 35 cents per share, beating analyst estimates of 28 cents per share, according to Benzinga Pro.
"The Company's results were fueled by surging demand for our innovative, reliable and energy-efficient high-performance connectivity solutions. We continue to see growing demand for our solutions across hyperscaler customers to power advanced AI services, a trend we believe will persist for the foreseeable future," said Bill Brennan, president and CEO of Credo Technology Group.
Credo Technology Group said it expects first-quarter revenue in the range of $185 million to $195 million versus estimates of $167.83 million. The company anticipates an adjusted gross margin between 64% and 66% in the first quarter.
Credo Technology shares jumped 20.6% to trade at $75.58 on Tuesday.
These analysts made changes to their price targets on Credo Technology following earnings announcement.

These Analysts Boost Their Forecasts On Credo Technology Group Following Upbeat Q4 Results

Bitcoin&nbsp;(CRYPTO:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) mining stocks&nbsp;MARA Holdings&nbsp;Inc&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MARA#NASDAQ">MARA</a>),&nbsp;Riot Platforms&nbsp;Inc&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/RIOT#NASDAQ">RIOT</a>)&nbsp;and CleanSpark&nbsp;Inc&nbsp;(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CLSK#NASDAQ">CLSK</a>) are moving higher on Tuesday. Each of the companies released&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/06/g45743700/mara-announces-bitcoin-production-and-mining-operation-updates-for-may-2025">production updates for May</a>.
MARA Production Update: MARA Holdings mined 950 bitcoin in May, up 35% on a month-over-month basis. The company said it won 282 blocks last month, up 38% compared to the prior month. MARA Holdings held a total of 49,179 bitcoin as of May 31 after opting not to sell any holdings during the period. 
MARA Holdings reported a total energized hashrate of 58.3 EH/s&nbsp;at month&#8217;s end, up from 57.3 EH/s at the end of April. 
&#8220;Our fully integrated tech stack is a key differentiator, and MARA Pool is the only self-owned and operated mining pool among public miners, offering greater control and efficiency. Operating our pool means no fees to external operators and retention of the full value of block rewards. Production in May also benefitted from block reward luck,&#8221; said&nbsp;Fred Thiel, chairman and CEO of MARA Holdings.
MARA Holdings shares were up 5.47% at $15.15 at the time of publication Tuesday, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a>.
RIOT Production Update: Riot mined 514 bitcoin in May, up 11% month-over-month and 139% on a year-over-year basis. The company said it held 19,225 bitcoin at the end of the month.
Riot increased its deployed hashrate to 35.4 EH/s during the month, up from 33.7 EH/s in April and up 142% year-over-year. 
&#8220;In May, Riot made significant progress across our&nbsp;bitcoin&nbsp;mining and data center platforms. Riot mined 514&nbsp;bitcoin&nbsp;in May, an&nbsp;11%&nbsp;increase over the previous month, and we will continue to prioritize operational excellence as we head into the summer months in&nbsp;Texas&nbsp;and&nbsp;Kentucky,&#8221; said Jason Les, CEO of Riot. 
Riot shares were up 4.42% at $8.85 at last check on Tuesday, per <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a>.
CLSK Production Update: CleanSpark mined 694 bitcoin in May, up about 10% on a month-over-month basis. CleanSpark said it held a total of 12,502 bitcoin at the end of the month after selling 293.5 bitcoin during the period. 
CleanSpark closed out May with an operating hashrate of 45.6 EH/s, up 7.5% from 42.4 EH/s at the end of April. 
&#8220;As we enter June, we&#8217;re positioned to become the first public&nbsp;Bitcoin&nbsp;miner to achieve 50 EH/s entirely through self-operated infrastructure. This milestone reflects the strength of our vertically integrated model, allowing us to scale efficiently, retain operational control, and protect margins,&#8221; said Zach Bradford, president and CEO of CleanSpark.
