The Staff Determination noted that the Staff had notified the Company on June 21, 2024, August 23, 2024 and November 21, 2024 that the Company did not comply with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5250(c)(1) (the "Filing Rule") because the Company had not filed its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for the periods ended March 31, 2024, June 30, 2024, and September 30, 2024 (the "Forms 10-Q") with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC"). The Staff Determination noted that, based on the Staff's review and the materials submitted on August 20, 2024, the Staff granted the Company an exception until December 16, 2024 to regain compliance with the Filing Rule. The Staff Determination stated that the Company had not met the terms of the exception. Specifically, the Company has not filed the Forms 10-Q as required by the Filing Rule. The Staff Determination has no immediate effect and will not immediately result in the suspension of trading or delisting of the Company's common stock.

Jiayin Group Inc. Horita expects Taiwan Semiconductor&#8217;s production line in Japan to align with the quality of those in Taiwan.
The first Kumamoto plant focuses on 22 nm,28 nm, 12 nm, and 16nm processes, while the second will produce 6 nm and 7nm process chips, as planned.

Construction of the second Kumamoto plant will likely begin in the first quarter of 2025, with mass production scheduled by the end of 2027.
The combined monthly production capacity of the two plants will likely exceed 100,000 wafers.
The Japanese government <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/24/11/41939018/japan-increases-semiconductor-funding-as-us-trade-policies-pressure-taiwan-semiconductor" rel="noreferrer noopener">earmarked over $64.9 billion</a> to consolidate its semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) positions, taking a cue from the U.S. and China. Taiwan Semiconductor&#8217;s Arizona fab, worth $20 billion, will produce <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/media/24/12/42514266/taiwan-semiconductor-unveils-20-billion-arizona-chip-fab-apple-named-key-customer" rel="noreferrer noopener">4-nanometer chips by 2025</a>.
Currently, 92% of the most advanced chips are made in Taiwan.
Japan&#8217;s semiconductor package totals over 10 trillion yen and aims to drive public and private investment of over 50 trillion yen by fiscal 2030.
Taiwan Semiconductor is eyeing a second facility in Japan&#8217;s Kumamoto, following its initial $8.6 billion wafer factory in the region. The company plans to invest $13.5 billion in the project.
The chipmaker is also plotting a third high-tech chip production facility worth $20 billion in Kumamoto to manufacture 3 nm chips.
Taiwan Semiconductor chair and CEO&nbsp;C.C. Wei <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/24/12/42507816/taiwan-semiconductor-ceo-highlights-ai-powered-drones-next-gen-robots-as-growth-drivers" rel="noreferrer noopener">expects advanced robots</a> and AI-powered drones to be key growth drivers.
Taiwan Semiconductor stock surged 92% year-to-date.

Procaps Group Appoints Alejandro Weinstein, Executive Chairman Of The board

Exicure, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XCUR#NASDAQ">XCUR</a>, "the Company", "Exicure"))), today announced that in connection with the change of control transaction approved by the stockholders at the Special Meeting of the Stockholders on December 17, 2024 (the "Change of Control"), the stockholders of the Company approved a second investment of $8.7 million from HiTron Systems Inc. ("HiTron"), a publicly listed company (KOSPI) in South Korea. This investment is expected to close within a few days depending on regulatory approvals. Also, on December 19, 2024, the Board of Directors (the "Board") of the Company changed the authorized number of directors comprising the Board to nine directors and appointed four new directors to the Board and two officers to the Company.
The total investment from HiTron will be $10 million after the initial investment of $1.3 million closed in November. The share issuance price for HiTron is $3 per share per the common stock purchase agreement that was signed in early November, and once the second investments closes, HiTron will become Exicure's largest shareholder, owning over 50% of the Company. On December 17, 2024, HiTron completed the acquisition of Exicure's management rights through the appointment of board members.
