As of mid-April, <a href="https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/meta-removes-use-of-apple-intelligence-in-its-apps-on-iphone/">CNET</a> reported that Apple Intelligence—Apple's (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) new on-device AI suite—no longer works inside Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads or Messenger.&nbsp;
The silent change traced back to Meta Platforms&nbsp; (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>), which disabled Apple's application interfaces without fanfare.&nbsp;
The clash arrives three months after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on "<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k1ehaE0bdU&amp;pp=ygUfbWFyayB6dWNrZXJiZXJnIGpvZSByb2dhbiBhcHBsZQ%3D%3D">The Joe Rogan Experience</a>" podcast in January that Apple "hasn't invented anything great since the iPhone." All that infrastructure feeds Meta AI, the assistant now woven through Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Shutting out Apple nudges millions toward Meta's own chatbot for caption rewrites and sticker generation.

Apple introduced Apple Intelligence on June 10, during its Worldwide Developers Conference in Cupertino, California. A company <a href="https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2024/06/introducing-apple-intelligence/">said </a>that the language-and-vision models run on the A17 Pro chip and relay minimal data to the cloud, pitching faster responses and stronger privacy than server-side peers.
Data from<a href="https://www.alphaquery.com/stock/AAPL/volatility-option-statistics/30-day/historical-volatility"> AlphaQuery</a> show 30-day historical volatility for Apple shares hit 0.7775 on April 22. Meanwhile, analysts surveyed by<a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/apple-stock-down-23-time-120000645.html"> Yahoo Finance</a> expect revenue to climb only 4.2% in fiscal 2025, a stark slowdown from pandemic-era booms.
Apple CEO Tim Cook met with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on April 17 and secured temporary tariff exemptions covering iPhones and MacBooks as fresh China tariffs loomed, according to media reports.&nbsp;
Zuckerberg's criticism of Apple&#8217;s App Store policies has history, particularly its 30% commission fee, which he has described as &#8220;monopoly rents.&#8221;&nbsp;

CoreWeave Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CRWV#NASDAQ">CRWV</a>) reported its first quarterly results as a public company late Wednesday. Shares initially hit new highs before pulling back as the company laid out plans for heavy spending. Here&#8217;s what <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/05/45421041/nvidia-backed-coreweave-reports-q1-earnings-revenue-jumps-420-backlog-grows-to-25-9-billion-following-openai-deal-shares-hit-all-time-highs">you need to know</a>.
What To Know: CoreWeave said first-quarter revenue increased 420% year-over-year to $981.63 million, beating analyst <a href="http://benzinga.com/quote/crwv/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">estimates</a> of $859.77 million. The Nvidia-backed AI infrastructure company reported an adjusted loss of approximately 60 cents per share, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Benzinga Pro</a>. 
CoreWeave said it had a revenue backlog of $25.9 billion at quarter&#8217;s end, including $11.2 billion from a strategic deal with OpenAI during the first quarter. 
Shares hit new highs in after-hours trading, but pulled back after the company laid out spending plans on the conference call. CoreWeave said it expects capital expenditures to be between $3 billion and $3.5 billion in the second quarter, and climb to $20 billion to $23 billion in full-year 2025. The company also guided for second-quarter revenue of $1.06 billion to $1.1 billion with full-year revenue forecasted at $4.9 billion to $5.1 billion.
&#8220;Demand for our platform is robust and accelerating as AI leaders seek the highly performant AI cloud infrastructure required for the most advanced applications. We are scaling as fast as possible to capture that demand,&#8221; CoreWeave CEO Michael Intrator said in the earnings release.
CoreWeave rents out access to Nvidia GPUs to large technology and AI-focused companies. Wednesday&#8217;s report was the company&#8217;s first as a public company following its public debut on the Nasdaq in late March.
Following the print, Needham analyst Mike Cikos reiterated a Buy rating and maintained a price target of $55. Meanwhile, analysts at DA Davidson downgraded CoreWeave from Neutral to Underperform and set a price target of $36.
Despite the cautious outlook from analysts, shares are still hovering around highs. The stock traded above $74 in extended trading before falling to around $60 in pre-market trading Thursday morning. CoreWeave shares were bouncing back a bit at the time of writing, with shares down about 1%, hovering around $66.80, according to <a href="http://pro.benzinga.com">Benzinga Pro</a>.
CoreWeave offered shares at $40 in its IPO. The stock traded as low as $33.51 in April before finding buyers and trending higher into earnings on Wednesday. As of Wednesday&#8217;s close, shares were up approximately 69% from the company&#8217;s IPO. The stock looks set for a volatile day of trading as investors weigh the company&#8217;s high spending forecast against its strong growth outlook.

He attributes the ETH rally to multiple catalysts, including the Dencun upgrade, leadership shifts within the Ethereum Foundation, and an aggressive short squeeze, particularly from institutions that had been short ETH against long BTC and SOL positions.
Sigel added that while short-term headwinds like dollar strength may slow momentum, the structural setup remains bullish. Bernstein Research echoed this view, citing Layer 2 adoption, growing stablecoin and tokenization activity and renewed institutional flows.

Why It Matters: Sigel's remarks coincided with the launch of VanEck's Onchain Economy ETF (NØDE), a hybrid fund combining crypto ETF exposure (25%) with high- and low-volatility blockchain equities. 
VanEck also rolled out a tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, accessible via Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/avax/usd">AVAX</a>), and BNB Chain, a move targeting institutional clients seeking 24/7 access and USDC-based settlement.
Meanwhile, Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer at BitwiseInvest, <a href="https://x.com/Matt_Hougan/status/1922704807204471245">highlighted</a> the growing embrace of crypto among financial advisors after attending a major industry conference. 
He shared three key insights: crypto ETP access is expected across most advisory firms by year-end, advisor demand is intensifying, with billions in expected inflows and portfolio allocations rising from 1% to 5%.
"I fielded more Ethereum questions in the past few days than in the last six months," Hougan noted, emphasizing that interest is surging for both Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Phillips 66 (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PSX#NYSE">PSX</a>) announced today that its subsidiary, Phillips 66 Continental Holding GmbH, has entered into a definitive agreement to divest a 65 percent interest in its Germany and Austria retail marketing business, including JET-branded sites, to a consortium owned by subsidiaries of investment firms Energy Equation Partners and Stonepeak. Phillips 66 will retain a non-operated 35 percent interest in the business through a newly formed joint venture.
The transaction values the Germany and Austria retail marketing business at an enterprise value of approximately €2.5 billion (approximately $2.8 billion), representing an implied Enterprise Value/EBITDA multiple of 9.1x based on expected 2025 EBITDA. Phillips 66 expects to receive pre-tax cash proceeds of approximately €1.5 billion (approximately $1.6 billion), after customary purchase price adjustments. The proceeds will be used to support the company's strategic priorities, including debt reduction and shareholder returns.
In connection with the transaction, Phillips 66 will enter into a multi-year agreement to continue to supply the business with products from the Mineraloelraffinerie Oberrhein GmbH &amp; Co. KG (MiRO) Refinery.
The Germany and Austria retail business includes 970 sites, of which 843 are JET-branded sites. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.

Phillips 66 Continental Holding Agrees To Divest 65% Interest In Germany And Austria Retail Marketing Business In $2.8B Deal

MKS Instruments, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MKSI#NASDAQ">MKSI</a>) ("MKS"), a global provider of enabling technologies that transform our world, announced today that James A. Schreiner will conclude his tenure as the leader of the Materials Solutions Division ("MSD") on August 1, 2025, and will transition back to his role as Executive Vice President &amp; Chief Operating Officer of MKS. In this position, Mr. Schreiner will lead operations, supply chain, and workplace operations for the Vacuum Solutions Division and the Photonics Solutions Division.
The Company also announced that David P. Henry, the Company's current Executive Vice President, Operations and Corporate Marketing, will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing, and General Manager, Materials Solutions Division, on August 1, 2025. On Thursday, retail giant&nbsp;Walmart Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WMT#NYSE">WMT</a>) reported&nbsp;first-quarter&nbsp;FY26 sales growth of&nbsp;2.5%&nbsp;year-on-year (Y/Y) to&nbsp;$165.60&nbsp;billion, marginally missing the analyst&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45432296/walmart-reports-revenue-of-2-5-up-4-0-in-constant-currency-cc-with-operating-income-growing-of-4-3" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus estimate of&nbsp;$165.88 billion</a>.
The retailer reported adjusted EPS&nbsp;of 61 cents,&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">beating the consensus estimate of 58 cents.</a>
Global eCommerce sales grew&nbsp;22% Y/Y, led by store-fulfilled pickup &amp; delivery and marketplace.
Comparable sales for Walmart U.S. climbed by&nbsp;4.5%, excluding fuel, driven by health &amp; wellness and grocery growth. At Sam's Club, same-store sales rose&nbsp;6.7% Y/Y, excluding fuel.

The gross margin rate was up 12&nbsp;basis points, led by Walmart U.S.
Operating income increased&nbsp;$0.3 billion, or&nbsp;4.3%, and adjusted operating&nbsp;income&nbsp;was up&nbsp;3.0%&nbsp;in constant currencies due to higher gross margins and growth in membership income.
Global advertising business improved&nbsp;50% Y/Y, including&nbsp;31% Y/Y&nbsp;for Walmart Connect in the U.S.
"We delivered a solid first quarter in a dynamic operating environment. We're serving customers and members in more ways, which is fueling our growth. We're well positioned, maintaining flexibility to navigate the near-term while continuing to invest to create value for the long-term." said President and CEO&nbsp;Doug McMillon.
Walmart generated an operating cash flow of&nbsp;$5.4 billion&nbsp;and a free cash flow of&nbsp;$425 million&nbsp;in the quarter. It ended the quarter with cash and equivalents of&nbsp;$9.3 billion.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Guidance</h2>
Walmart expects&nbsp;second-quarter&nbsp;FY26 <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">sales growth of&nbsp;3.5%—4.5%&nbsp;in CC</a>, translating to $173.67 billion—$175.35 billion versus the $175.21 billion estimate.
For fiscal year 2026, Walmart reaffirmed an adjusted EPS outlook of&nbsp;$2.50&nbsp;–&nbsp;$2.60, vs. the&nbsp;$2.61 estimate and sales&nbsp;guidance&nbsp;of&nbsp;$694.70 billion—$701.50 billion vs. the&nbsp;street view of $705.30 billion.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Conference Call</h2>
During the conference call, CEO reportedly says, "all of the tariffs create cost pressure for us, but the larger tariffs on china have the biggest impact for us; ‘we won't let tariff-related cost pressure on some general merchandise items put pressure on food prices; but as it relates to food area for imported items like bananas, avocados, coffee and roses, will do our best to control."
The CFO reportedly said, "February was softer than expected, March was back to normal, and April was very strong; we will need to manage quantity volumes as we measure tariffs."
