Susquehanna Maintains Positive on Westinghouse Air Brake, Raises Price Target to $235

Dow Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DOW#NYSE">DOW</a>) reported worse-than-expected second-quarter financial results and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/DOW/earnings">cut dividend by 50% on Thursday.</a>
The company reported an adjusted loss of 42 cents per share, wider than Wall Street's projected 12-cent loss, according to consensus estimates. Revenue fell 7% year over year to $10.104 billion, missing the $10.252 billion estimate.
Dow posted a GAAP net loss of $801 million for the quarter, while operating EBIT swung to a loss of $21 million from $819 million in the same period a year ago.
"This quarter, Team Dow advanced several aggressive actions in response to the lower-for-longer earnings environment that our industry is facing, amplified by recent trade and tariff uncertainties," commented Jim Fitterling, Dow chair and CEO.
Dow expects third-quarter 2025 net sales of approximately $10.2 billion versus the consensus of $10.599 billion.
Dow shares gained 1.4% to trade at $25.40 on Friday.

Adjusted EBITDA in the quarter under review was $26.5 million, lower than $53.5 million in the year-ago period. The company exited the quarter with cash and equivalents worth $338.183 million.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tariff War</h2>
The company said it is actively monitoring the U.S. administration&#8217;s proposal to impose substantial new tariffs on imported goods. If enacted, these tariffs would add significantly to the $110 million already paid in duties during fiscal 2024.
The company anticipates a net tariff impact of approximately $35 million to pre-tax earnings in the second half of fiscal 2025.
The estimated gross pre-tax impact of these new duties could range from $125 million to $150 million annually, depending on country-specific rates.
To mitigate the financial hit, the company plans to adjust product assortments, share costs with vendors, shift production locations, and increase prices.
Due to leadership changes and uncertainty around tariff policy, the company has suspended its fiscal 2025 guidance.

Chairman and CEO Stephen A. Schwarzman said Blackstone achieved strong second-quarter results, driven by broad growth across private wealth, credit and insurance, and infrastructure. He noted that the firm significantly increased earnings and pushed total assets under management to over $1.2 trillion, marking a new industry record. These Analysts Raise Their Forecasts On Blackstone Following Q2 Earnings

Publicly traded companies are increasingly integrating cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>), into their treasuries, with significant investments announced in Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>), Solana (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>), XRP (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/xrp/usd">XRP</a>), Binance Coin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/bnb/usd">BNB</a>) and <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/crypto/cryptocurrency/25/07/46567973/ethereum-treasury-company-trend-will-accelerate-says-bitwises-matt-hougan-heres-what-it-means-for-eths-price">other tokens this year</a>.
What Happened: This trend, driven by firms across biotech, fintech, and Web3 sectors, reflects a strategic pivot to diversify financial assets and capitalize on the growing legitimacy of digital currencies.
SharpLink Gaming, a Minnesota-based affiliate marketing firm listed on Nasdaq (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SBET#NASDAQ">SBET</a>), has emerged as a leader in altcoin treasury adoption, focusing on Ethereum. 
As of July 22, SharpLink holds 205,000 ETH, valued at approximately $1.35 billion, making it the second-largest corporate holder of Ethereum <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/crypto/cryptocurrency/25/07/46515365/ethereum-roars-to-3800-whats-driving-the-surge">behind the Ethereum Foundation.</a>
The company, now chaired by Joe Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum and CEO of Consensys, announced plans in May 2025 to raise $425 million to build its ETH treasury. 
Since June 2, SharpLink has committed all its ETH to staking and restaking protocols, generating a yield of 322 ETH.

Solana has also gained traction as a treasury asset.

The company raised $24 million in a private equity deal to acquire SOL, holding 395,000 tokens by May 31.
Separately, Upexi, a consumer product company (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UPXI#NASDAQ">UPXI</a>), secured $100 million in funding led by venture firm GSR, amassing 735,692 SOL by June 24.
These holdings, valued at over $100 million and $331 million respectively, underscore Solana's appeal due to its high-throughput DeFi ecosystem and low transaction costs.
XRP, the native token of the Ripple network, is another altcoin attracting corporate investment. 
Trident Financial Solutions, a Singapore-based fintech company, announced plans to raise $7.5 million to build a $500 million XRP treasury, citing its efficiency in cross-border payments. 
Similarly, Webus (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WETO#NASDAQ">WETO</a>), a Chinese travel booking firm, disclosed intentions to acquire $500 million in XRP, with a $300 million capital raise already completed.

These initiatives align with XRP's growing adoption by financial institutions, as evidenced by its use in Unicredit's payment solutions for transfers from Portugal to Brazil, announced in early 2025.
Windtree Therapeutics, a biotechnology firm (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WINT#NASDAQ">WINT</a>), has committed to Binance Coin as its treasury asset.
On July 24, the company <a href="https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2025/07/24/3121106/0/en/Windtree-Therapeutics-Announces-Up-To-520-Million-in-New-Funding-to-Amplify-BNB-Cryptocurrency-Treasury-Strategy.html">announced </a>a $500 million equity line of credit (ELOC) and a $20 million stock purchase agreement with Build and Build Corp., allocating 99% of the $520 million proceeds to purchase BNB.
Windtree's total commitment could reach $700 million, pending stockholder approval to increase authorized shares. 
The company has partnered with Kraken to manage custody and trading of its BNB holdings, leveraging the token's robust performance, which saw a 17.5% value increase in July 2025, reaching $759 per token.
Nano Labs (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NA#NASDAQ">NA</a>), a Web3 infrastructure provider, also announced a BNB-focused treasury strategy, unveiling a $1 billion initiative in June.

The European Medicines Agency&#8217;s (EMA) Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) issued a positive opinion on Friday recommending Eli Lilly and Co.&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LLY#NYSE">LLY</a>) donanemab for early symptomatic Alzheimer&#8217;s disease in adults with confirmed amyloid pathology who are apolipoprotein E ε4 (ApoE4) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/health-care" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">heterozygotes or non-carriers</a>.

Donanemab, a monthly infusion, is currently marketed as Kisunla in&nbsp;the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/07/n46625992/donanemab-receives-positive-opinion-from-the-committee-for-medicinal-products-for-human-use-chmp-i" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">U.S.&nbsp;and other countries</a>.
In&nbsp;the U.S.,&nbsp;Japan,&nbsp;China and many other countries, donanemab is approved for patients regardless of ApoE4 status.
Donanemab is the first and only amyloid plaque-targeting therapy with evidence to support stopping therapy when amyloid plaques are removed, which can result in lower treatment costs and fewer infusions.
The European Commission is expected to make a regulatory decision on donanemab in the coming months.

Alzheimer&#8217;s disease currently affects as many as 6.9 million people in Europe,&nbsp;with this figure expected to almost double by 2050 as aging populations continue to increase.
Approximately one-third of individuals with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia due to Alzheimer&#8217;s disease progress to the next clinical stage of disease in one year.
The positive opinion was primarily based on clinical trial data from the TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 2 clinical trial, which demonstrated that donanemab significantly slowed cognitive and functional decline and reduced the risk of progressing to the next clinical stage of disease, and the TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 6 clinical trial, which evaluated a modified titration dosing schedule.
In the TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 6 study, the modified titration schedule significantly lowered the incidence of amyloid-related imaging abnormalities with edema/effusion (ARIA-E) versus the dosing schedule used in TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 2 at 24 and 52 weeks, while still achieving similar levels of amyloid plaque removal and P-tau217 reduction
In July, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/fda/25/07/46319441/fda-approves-new-dosing-schedule-for-eli-lillys-kisunla-in-alzheimers-treatment" rel="noreferrer noopener">approved a label update</a> with a new recommended titration dosing schedule for&nbsp;Kisunla.
The FDA approved the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/07/39620867/eli-lillys-alzheimers-therapys-broad-label-reflects-regulatory-confidence-in-anti-a" rel="noreferrer noopener">drug in July 2024</a>.
In the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/24/10/41608511/eli-lilly-says-new-data-can-potentially-provide-path-to-improved-donanemab-profile-by-lower-risk-" rel="noreferrer noopener">TRAILBLAZER-ALZ 6 study</a>, the modified titration schedule significantly reduced the incidence of ARIA-E compared to the original dosing schedule at 24 and 52 weeks, while achieving similar levels of amyloid plaque removal&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/07/n46314838/fda-approves-updated-label-for-lillys-kisunla-donanemab-azbt-with-new-dosing-in-early-symptomatic-" rel="noreferrer noopener">and P-tau217 reduction</a>.
In other news, Sanofi SA (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SNY#NASDAQ">SNY</a>) agreed to acquire Vigil Neuroscience Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VIGL#NASDAQ">VIGL</a>) for&nbsp;an <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/biotech/25/05/45561443/sanofi-boosts-alzheimers-pipeline-with-vigil-neuroscience-acquisition" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">approximately $470 million equity value</a>. The acquisition strengthens Sanofi's neurology pipeline with VG-3927, an oral TREM2 agonist for Alzheimer's disease.
LLY Price Action: Eli Lilly stock is up 0.42% at $805.77&nbsp;during the premarket session at publication on Friday.

Eli Lilly's Early Alzheimer's Drug Recommended For Approval By European Drug Regulator's Panel

Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR) stock declined after it released its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/07/n46626616/charter-announces-second-quarter-2025-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fiscal second-quarter</a> 2025 results on Friday. 
The company reported quarterly revenue growth of 0.6% year-on-year to $13.77 billion, beating the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">analyst consensus estimate</a> of $13.76 billion.
Earnings per share of $9.18 missed the analyst consensus estimate of $9.80.

The topline performance reflects revenue growth of 24.9% for residential mobile service, 2.8% for residential Internet, and 18.9% for other revenue.
Charter lost 117,000 internet customers, compared to a decline of 149,000 during the second-quarter of 2024 which included the impact of approximately 50,000 disconnects related to the end of the FCC&#8217;s Affordable Connectivity Program subsidies.
Charter&#8217;s residential video customers decreased by 80,000 compared to 408,000 in the previous year.
Charter&#8217;s mobile lines increased by 500,000 during the quarter, reaching 10.9 million as of June 30. AT&amp;T (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/T#NYSE">T</a>) added 401,000 <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/earnings/25/07/46570015/atts-discount-bundles-fuel-subscriber-gains-tax-savings-to-supercharge-fiber-expansion" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">postpaid phone customers</a> in the second quarter, down slightly from 419,000 last year but still strong. In contrast, Verizon (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/VZ#NYSE">VZ</a>) lost 9,000 postpaid phone connections, missing analyst expectations for a 13,000 gain.
Charter&#8217;s adjusted EBITDA margin remained flat at 41.4%.
The quarterly free cash flow of $1.1 billion decreased from $1.3 billion in the prior year, primarily driven by lower net cash flows from operating activities.
As of June 30, Charter served 29.9 million residential and small business Internet customers.
Net cash flow from operating activities totaled $3.6 billion during the quarter. As of June 30, the company held $606 million in cash and equivalents.
During the quarter, Charter purchased 4.5 million Charter and Charter Communications shares totaling&nbsp;$1.7 billion.
2025 Outlook: Charter Communications&nbsp;<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/guidance" rel="noreferrer noopener">expects a capex</a>&nbsp;of approximately&nbsp;$11.5 billion (<a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/45007666/charter-loses-internet-and-tv-subscribers-but-beats-rivals-with-strong-mobile-line-gains" rel="noreferrer noopener">prior $12 billion</a>) versus $11.27 billion&nbsp;in fiscal 2024. The decrease primarily reflects the timing of network evolution spending and lower commercial and subsidized rural line extensions spending.
Charter stock gained 11% year-to-date compared to the NASDAQ Composite Index&#8217;s (which includes the stock) over 9% returns.
Price Action: Charter Communications stock is down 10.6% to $339.61 in the premarket at the last check on Friday.
