Stocks That Hit 52-Week Highs On Tuesday

Heineken (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/heiny#OTCQX">HEINY</a>)
Heineken&rsquo;s big initiative, according to Investor Relations Director Federico Castillo, is continuing its global diversification and limiting reliance on individual markets.&nbsp;
&ldquo;We used to be a very European-centric business 10-15 years ago,&rdquo; Castillo said. &ldquo;Heineken was concerned that it was overly exposed to markets that at that point in time were showing a frank decline.&rdquo;
Today, Heineken owns over 160 breweries in over 70 countries. Only two countries, Mexico and Vietnam, account for more than 10% of profits, and 56% of profits come from developing markets.&nbsp;
Hugo Boss (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/bossy#OTCQX">BOSSY</a>)
Hugo Boss, the German fashion company fell short of expectations in its most recent quarter, missing estimates on both earnings and sales. The company cited macroeconomic uncertainties that weighed on consumer demand.&nbsp;&nbsp;
In North America, sales were down 8% on a year-over-year basis, impacted by general softness in local demand and a double-digit decline in the U.S. wholesale business. In Asia, sales were up 2% year-over-year despite the Hong Kong protests weighing on sales growth. Europe sales also rose 2% in the quarter, led by record same-store sales growth in France (though sales in home market Germany declined).&nbsp;
Looking further out the company is focused on the expansion of its footprint in mainland China, expanding online sales and growing its travel retail business.
Fresenius SE (OTCQX: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/fsnuy#OTCQX">FSNUY</a>)
Fresenius is a global operator of hospitals and other health care facilities and is the world&#39;s largest provider of products and services for individuals with renal diseases as well as Europe&#39;s leading private hospital operator.&nbsp;
According to Senior Vice President and Head of Investor Relations, Markus Georgi, 42% of Fresenius&rsquo; business comes from North America, while 43% comes from Europe, and 15% comes from the rest of the world, particularly China.&nbsp;
Georgi cited two key trends in healthcare that are driving the growth of the business: demographics and health care spending. Over 2 billion people will be over the age of 60 by 2050, according to the World Health Organization. And by 2022, one-third of all global health expenditure will occur in emerging economies, according to the World Economic Forum.&nbsp;
Hutchison China MediTech (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/hcm#NASDAQ">HCM</a>)
Hutchinson China MediTech, known as Chi-Med, is a Hong Kong-based pharma company focused on developing drugs for oncology and autoimmune diseases. Chi-Med currently has a portfolio of eight cancer drug candidates in clinical studies around the world, five of which are in the U.S. and EU.&nbsp;
Christian Hogg, executive director and CEO of Chi-Med, singled out the company&rsquo;s pipeline and the changing regulatory landscape as key catalysts going forward. In 2018, the company launched Elunate, a treatment for colorectal cancer. The drug is commercialized by Eli Lilly (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/lly#NYSE">LLY</a>) and was the first-ever home-grown cancer drug launched in China.&nbsp;
&ldquo;What we&rsquo;re seeing is enormous regulatory reform in China, driving down the price of generic drugs, increasing access to innovating therapies, and that&rsquo;s where our portfolio fits in very nicely,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re seeing a terrific evolution of the Chinese biotech and pharma market towards helping patients with innovative therapies.&rdquo;
Suncorp Group (Pink: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/snmcy#Pink">SNMCY</a>)
Suncorp is an Australian financial services provider with over 9.5 million customers and $96 billion in assets under management. The bank has three business lines: insurance in Australia, banking &amp; wealth, and insurance in New Zealand.&nbsp;
Suncorp has a 27% market share in Australia&rsquo;s personal lines markets and is Australia&rsquo;s largest personal injury insurer. In the banking and wealth segment, 81% of the bank&rsquo;s lending portfolio consists of retail mortgages, while commercial loans make up 11% and agricultural business loans make up the remaining 8%.&nbsp;
The key priorities for the firm, according to Kelly Hibbins, executive general manager, investor relations, are to increase investment in the bank&rsquo;s digital platform, increase growth in home and motor loans and continuing to target a net stable funding ratio comfortably above 105%.&nbsp;
Nordea Bank (Pink: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/nrdby#Pink">NRDBY</a>)
Nordea, the largest financial services firm in the four Nordic countries with around 10 million customers, also provided a quarterly update.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Though net interest income improved compared to the previous quarter, third-quarter results were defined by negative one-time events, according to Senior Investor Relations Officer Maria Caneman. A divestment, impairment charge, restructuring provision, and loan loss provision led to negative charges of 1.3 billion Euros.&nbsp;
Going forward, the company has a new CEO, business plan, financial targets, and dividend policy. As part of that plan, Nordea is aiming to cut costs by between 700-800 million Euros by 2022.&nbsp;
Telstra (Pink: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/tlsyy#Pink">TLSYY</a>)
Telstra, Australia&rsquo;s leading telecommunications provider, reported third-quarter results in-line with previously issued guidance.&nbsp;
Leading the way for Telstra is its 5G developments. In the past year, Telestra became the first operator to launch 5G in the southern hemisphere, providing access to over 4 million Australians. By the end of 2020, they expect to increase 5G coverage almost five-fold to reach at least 35 Australian cities.&nbsp;
&ldquo;FY19 has been pivotal. Notwithstanding the intense competition we have faced and the challenging structural dynamics of our industry, it is a year in which we started to see the turning point in the fortunes of the company,&rdquo; said Head off Investor Relations Ross Moffat.&nbsp;
Serco Group (Pink: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/scgpy#Pink">SCGPY</a>)
Serco is a British provider of public services that operates in five main sectors: defense, justice &amp; immigration, transportation, health, and citizen services. The company most notably recently closed its $225 million acquisition of Naval Systems Base Unit, which it hopes will make it a top-tier supplier to the U.S. Navy as the Navy plans to expand its fleet from around 280 ships to 355 by 2034.&nbsp;
2019 will be the third year in a row that Serco order intake exceeds revenue, according to Head of Investor Relations Stuart Ford. The company received orders worth 14 billion pounds in the first half of 2019, up from 11 billion pounds on a year-over-year basis. In terms of revenue, Serco is guiding for 5-7% revenue growth in 2019.&nbsp;
Continental AG (Pink: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/cttay#Pink">CTTAY</a>)
Continental is one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world. 60% of Continental&rsquo;s revenue comes from its automotive group, while the remaining comes from rubber products.&nbsp;
In terms of the overall market situation, the company is assuming no material recovery in the next five years. Continental is projecting live vehicle production in 2020 to be at the same level as in 2019, at best&mdash;if not decline for the third consecutive year. They&rsquo;re also seeing increasing headwinds in tire markets.&nbsp;
Continental&rsquo;s plan to weather the storm is to reduce costs by 500 million Euros by 2023 via a 5% headcount reduction and reductions in capex. They&rsquo;re also planning a complete spinoff of the powertrain business&mdash;for which it was previously planning on pursuing a partial IPO&mdash;and re-focusing on growth areas; specifically, the interior and tires divisions.&nbsp;

Fresenius in Talks for Acquisition of Akorn
The Talks:
Akorn, Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/akrx#NASDAQ">AKRX</a>) confirmed a Bloomberg report that the company is in discussions with Fresenius Kabi, a subsidiary of Fresenius SE &amp; Co. KGaA (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fsnuy#OTC">FSNUY</a>) regarding a potential acquisition. The Boards of Directors of both companies still must approve entry into a formal agreement and there is no assurance a deal will result from the talks.
Akorn closed at $29.77 on Friday, up $4.55.
21st Century Fox Receives European Commission Clearance for Sky Acquisition
The Approval:
Twenty-First Century Fox (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/foxa#NASDAQ">FOXA</a>) has received unconditional European Commission antitrust approval on Friday for its $14.5 billion acquisition of Sky (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/bsybf#OTC">BSYBF</a>). The EC said there were no competition issues, since the Fox and Sky operate in different markets in Europe.
Reuters had reported earlier that approval was imminent.
21st Century Fox closed at $31.07, down $0.05.
Intrawest Resorts to Announce Sale on Monday to KSL Capital Partners-backed Ski Resort Operator
The Rumor:
Intrawest Resorts Holdings Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/snow#NYSE">SNOW</a>) is expected to announce on Monday that it&#39;s being sold to a ski resort operator backed by KSL Capital Partners, according to a report by Reuters. The sale price isn&#39;t known, but is said to be at a premium to Friday&#39;s close.
Fortress Investment Group (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fig#NYSE">FIG</a>) is Intrawest&#39;s largest investor.
Intrawest Resorts closed at $25.30, down $0.28.
BioTelemetry Launches Tender Offer to Acquire LifeWatch
The Tender Offer:
BioTelemetry, Inc. (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/beat#NASDAQ">BEAT</a>) and LifeWatch AG announced Sunday that BioTelemetry will launch a tender offer in Switzerland to acquire all of the outstanding shares of LifeWatch AG. Shareholders will Receive either CHF10.00 in cash and 0.1457 shares of BioTelemetry stock or CHF8.00 in cash and 0.2185 shares of BioTelemetry stock for a total deal value is approximately CHF260 million.
The transaction has been approved by both company&#39;s Boards of Directors.
BioTelemetry closed at $27.30, down $0.10.

Wall Street's M&A Chatter From April 7-9: 21st Century Fox, Akorn, BioTelemetry-LifeWatch, Intrawest Resorts

Fresenius SE &amp; Co. KGaA (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fsnuy#OTC">FSNUY</a>) reported a rise in its profit for the full year and lifted its dividend by 6%.
For the fourth quarter, the company's net profit declined 9.5% to EUR257 million from EUR284 million. Annual EPS rose 4% to 1.97 euros versus 1.89 euros. Excluding special items, earnings rose to 2.01 euros per share, from 1.96 euros per share
Its annual sales surged 20% to EUR6.5 billion.
Its net profit for the year climbed 6% to EUR1.07 billion, while sales rose 14% to EUR23.23 billion from EUR20.33 billion. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes gained 4% to EUR3.16 billion.
Fresenius Medical Care posted a Q4 net profit of $335 million, down from $349 million. Its revenue surged 12% to $4.32 billion.
Fresenius SE shares closed at $13.78 yesterday.

Wells Fargo initiated coverage on shares of Garmin Ltd (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/grmn#NASDAQ">GRMN</a>) with an “outperform” rating. Garmin's shares closed at $39.97 yesterday. Garmin's trailing-twelve-month revenue is $2.85 billion.

Societe Generale initiated coverage on shares of Fresenius Medical Care AG &amp; Co. KGAA (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fms#NYSE">FMS</a>) with a “buy” rating. Fresenius Medical's stock closed at $71.25 yesterday. Fresenius Medical had $677.38 million in total cash for the latest quarter.

Bank of America initiated coverage on shares of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mack#NASDAQ">MACK</a>) with a “buy” rating. Merrimack Pharmaceuticals' shares closed at $7.55 yesterday. Merrimack Pharmaceuticals' trailing-twelve-month revenue is $44.57 million.

Fresenius SE &amp; Co KgaA (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fsnuy#OTC">FSNUY</a>) reported a rise in its earnings in the second quarter.

Fresenius SE's quarterly sales surged 20% y/y to EUR4.82 billion ($5.93 billion). Its net profit climbed 64% to EUR212 million.

In the first half of the year, its sales gained 17%.

Fresenius SE shares closed at $13.25 yesterday.

Fresenius SE Q2 Net Profit Up 64%

German company Fresenius SE &amp; Co KGaA (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fsnuy#OTC">FSNUY</a>) reported that its Fresenius Kabi unit will buy Fenwal Holdings. 

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fresenius shares closed at $13.36 on Friday.

Macy's Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/m#NYSE">M</a>) reported a 12% rise in its fiscal fourth-quarter net income. Its same-store sales climbed 5.2%. Macy's quarterly earnings surged to $745 million, or $1.74 per share, from $667 million, or $1.55 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed to $8.72 billion from $8.27 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $1.65 per share on revenue of $8.72 billion. For fiscal 2013, Macy's projects to earn $3.25 to $3.30 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $3.27 per share.

Saks Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/sks#NYSE">SKS</a>) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter net profit. Saks' quarterly net profit climbed to $36.9 million, or $0.21 per share, from $24.9 million, or $0.14 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed to $925.1 million from $866.3 million. Saks projects comparable-store sales to grow 5% to 7% in 2012.

Medtronic Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mdt#NYSE">MDT</a>) posted a 1.2% rise in its fiscal third-quarter earnings. Medtronic narrowed its earnings forecast to $3.44 to $3.47 per share, versus $3.43 to $3.50 per share. Medtronic's quarterly profit surged to $935 million, or $0.88 per share, from $924 million, or $0.86 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding certain items, Medtronic earned $0.84 per share. Medtronic's revenue rose 1.6% to $3.92 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.84 per share on revenue of $3.98 billion. 

Home Depot Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/hd#NYSE">HD</a>) posted a 32% surge in its fiscal fourth-quarter net income. Its same-store sales climbed 5.7%. Home Depot's quarterly earnings rose to $774 million, or $0.50 per share, from $587 million, or $0.36 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Its sales surged to $16.01 billion from $15.13 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.42 per share on sales of $15.5 billion.

Medco Health Solutions Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/mhs#NYSE">MHS</a>) posted a 12% rise in its fourth-quarter net income. Medco Health's quarterly profit surged to $424.4 million, or $1.08 per share, up from $378.5 million, or $0.88 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Its adjusted earnings came in at $1.25 per share. Medco Health's shares outstanding declined 8.3% to 394.7 million. Its net revenue climbed to $18.99 billion from $16.93 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $1.17 per share on revenue of $17.38 billion.

Kraft Foods Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/kft#NYSE">KFT</a>) posted a rise in its fourth-quarter net profit. Kraft Foods' quarterly net profit climbed to $830 million, or $0.47 per share, from $540 million, or $0.31 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its revenue gained 6.6% to $14.69 billion, from $13.77 billion. Kraft Foods' adjusted profit came in at $0.57 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings at $0.57 per share on revenue of $14.8 billion.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/wmt#NYSE">WMT</a>) reported a 15% drop in its fourth-quarter net income. Wal-Mart's quarterly earnings fell to $5.16 billion, or $1.50 per share, from $6.06 billion, or $1.70 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Its earnings from continuing operations came in at $1.51 per share. Its net sales surged 5.8% to $122.29 billion. However, net revenue, including membership fees and other income, rose to $123.17 billion from $116.36 billion. Analysts were expecting a profit of $1.46 per share on revenue of $123.92 billion. 

RadioShack Corp (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/rsh#NYSE">RSH</a>) posted a 79% drop in its fourth-quarter profit. RadioShack's quarterly profit dipped to $11.9 million, or $0.12 per share, from $57 million, or $0.51 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its net sales climbed 5.9% to $1.39 billion. The company earlier expected a profit of $0.11 to $0.13 per share on revenue of $1.39 billion. 

Mylan Inc (NASDAQ: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/myl#NASDAQ">MYL</a>) posted a surge in its fourth-quarter earnings. Mylan's quarterly profit climbed to $129.5 million, or $0.30 per share, from $2.59 million, or $0.01 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding one-time items, Mylan earned $0.53 per share. Its revenue rose 6.7% to $1.53 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.50 per share on revenue of $1.56 billion. 

Walter Energy Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/wlt#NYSE">WLT</a>) posted an 8.8% drop in its fourth-quarter earnings. Walter Energy's quarterly profit fell to $83.8 million, or $1.34 per share, from $91.9 million, or $1.72 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue jumped 75% to $699.6 million, versus analysts' estimates of $730 million. Walter Energy's gross margins declined to 34.9% from 52%.

Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/dtg#NYSE">DTG</a>) posted a strong rise in its fourth-quarter earnings. Dollar Thrifty projects earnings of $4.60 to $5.20 per share for 2012 and $1.15 to $1.40 per share for the first quarter. However, analysts were expecting 2012 earnings of $4.82 per share and Q1 earnings of $0.79 per share. Dollar Thrifty's fourth quarter profit climbed to $33.9 million, or $1.08 per share, from a year-ago profit of $12.5 million, or $0.41 per share. Excluding one-time charges, Dollar Thrifty earned $1.09 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.76 per share. Dollar Thrifty's revenue climbed 1.3% to $353.7 million, versus analysts' estimates of $356 million.

Pandora A/S (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/pndzy#OTC">PNDZY</a>) posted a 10% decline in its fourth-quarter net profit, and projects drop in sales in 2012. Pandora's quarterly net profit dropped to DKK555 million, from DKK619 million, in the year-ago period. Its adjusted net profit fell 45% to DKK340 million. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of DKK374.3 million. Its EBIT declined 39% to DKK475 million, versus analysts' estimates of DKK475.8 million. Pandora's group sales dropped 15% to DKK1.95 billion, from DKK2.30 billion in the year-ago quarter, versus analysts' expectations of DKK2.03 billion. 

Fresenius SE (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fsnuy#OTC">FSNUY</a>) posted a rise in its 2011 earnings. Fresenius' fourth-quarter revenue climbed to EUR4.43 billion, versus EUR4.15 billion, in the year-ago period. Fresenius SE's 2011 net profit climbed 9.6% y/y to EUR205 million. Fresenius SE expects sales growth of 10% to 13% in 2012 and a net income growth of 8% to 11% in constant currency.

Fresenius Medical Care AG (NYSE: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/fms#NYSE">FMS</a>) expected rise in sales and earnings in 2012. FMC projects 2012 revenue of about $14 billion and net profit of around $1.14 billion. FMC's fourth-quarter net profit surged 14% to $310 million. Its earnings per share climbed 14% to $1.02. FMC's net revenue rose to $3.32 billion. FMC shares dropped 2.24% to $70.16 in pre-market trading.

Alibaba.com (OTC: <a class="ticker" href="/stock/albcf#OTC">ALBCF</a>) posted a 6% drop in its net profit for the fourth quarter. Alibaba.com's quarterly net profit fell to 385.9 million yuan ($61 million), from 410.4 million yuan, in the year-ago period. Its revenue came in at 1.659 billion yuan.
