U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index falling around 300 points on Friday.
Shares of Frontline plc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FRO#NYSE">FRO</a>) rose during Friday's session <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/FRO/earnings">following first-quarter results</a>.
The company reported revenue of $427.9 million, surpassing the $264.2 million consensus. Adjusted EPS declined to 18 cents from 62 cents a year ago, missing the consensus of 23 cents.
Frontline shares gained 3.7% to $17.81 on Friday.

The project was also named the 2025 Facility of the Year for Social Impact - Unmet Medical Needs by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE).

LEED v4 Platinum certification is the highest level of recognition for sustainable building practices and indicates that a building meets the highest standards for sustainability.
Fluor's scope of work included the engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, qualification and validation for the 144,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. It features 30,000 square feet of cleanroom space dedicated to advancing cell therapy production for neurological degenerative disorders, cardiovascular disease and other unmet medical needs.
"Fluor and Bayer collaborated to deliver Bayer's first fully electric pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, and we met an aggressive schedule to support client and patient needs," said Richard Meserole, President of Fluor's Advanced Technologies &amp; Life Sciences business. "Fluor secured LEED v4 Platinum Certification and ISPE Facility of the Year designation through effective collaboration with our trade partners, lean construction methods, and dedication to quality."
Sustainability benefits for the facility include 52.6% energy cost savings via LED, high-efficiency lighting, heat pump and rooftop solar installation. The facility boasts 100% process water reduction, 98% onsite management of rainfall high efficiency plumbing fixtures, 65% recycled content installation, high use of sustainable materials, land use maximization and various innovation credits.
This is the second new facility built by Fluor on Bayer's Biotech campus in Berkeley. Previously, Fluor completed construction of Bayer's state-of-the-art Single Use Technology biopharmaceutical manufacturing Cell Culture Technology Center in 2021.

On CNBC's &#8220;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/mad-money-lightning-round">Mad Money Lightning Round</a>,&#8221; Jim Cramer said no to O&#8217;Reilly Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ORLY#NASDAQ">ORLY</a>). 
&#8220;You want to buy the one that's not going to stock split, which is AutoZone (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AZO#NYSE">AZO</a>),&#8221;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/ORLY/earnings"> he added.</a>
Adding support to his view, O&#8217;Reilly Automotive posted first-quarter earnings of $9.35 per share on April 23, missing market estimates of $9.94 per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $4.14 billion versus expectations of $4.17 billion.
AutoZone has outperformed the market over the past 15 years by 10.81% on an annualized basis producing an average annual return of 22.06%. Currently, the company has a market capitalization of $62.8 billion.

Cramer said the last couple quarters have been weak for ASML Holding N.V. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ASML#NASDAQ">ASML</a>). He recommended buying Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/LRCX#NASDAQ">LRCX</a>) over ASML.
Supporting his view, ASML Holding reported a first-quarter sales miss on April 16. Sequentially, revenue declined by 16.75% from €9.3 billion in the fourth quarter.
Cramer said no to Onto Innovation Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ONTO#NYSE">ONTO</a>), adding that he likes Agilent (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/A#NYSE">A</a>).
Onto Innovation issued second-quarter guidance below estimates on May 8. The company sees second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.21-$1.35, versus market estimates of $1.50. The company expects sales of $240.00 million —$260.00 million, versus projections of $269.10 million.
The Mad Money host said no to Fluor (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FLR#NYSE">FLR</a>). &#8220;Engineering and construction, we're going to buy letter J, we'll buy Jacobs (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/J#NYSE">J</a>),&#8221; he added.
UBS analyst Steven Fisher maintained Fluor with a buy rating on May 7 and lowered the price target from $49 to $48.

President Donald Trump on Sunday announced his intention to reconstruct and reopen Alcatraz, the infamous former prison on an island in San Francisco Bay, as a functioning maximum-security facility for &#8220;America's most ruthless<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/equities/25/05/45217098/trumps-big-beautiful-bill-takes-shape-gop-pushes-tax-cuts-border-wall-funding-and-deep-spending-reductions-ahead-of-memorial-day-deadline"> and violent offenders.&#8221;&nbsp;</a>
What To Know: Trump described the move as a symbol of &#8220;Law, Order, and Justice&#8221; in a post on Truth Social and suggested the prison would be significantly expanded and modernized to accommodate the most dangerous criminals.

Alcatraz operated as a federal penitentiary from 1934 to 1963 and housed notorious criminals like Al Capone and George &#8220;Machine Gun&#8221; Kelly. The prison was closed due to high operational costs, deteriorating infrastructure and logistical challenges. 
Everything, including food, fuel and water, had to be shipped by boat, making it nearly three times more expensive to run than other federal prisons. 
John Martini, an expert on Alcatraz history who served as a park ranger on the island, <a href="https://www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/alcatraz-trump-prison-reopen-reaction-20309745.php">told</a> the San Francisco Chronicle that it would be impossible to reopen the prison because the building is "totally inoperable," with no water or sewage, and electricity only in certain parts.
"If the discussion is to rebuild the prison building to hold people, I don't think that would be feasible," Martini said. "It would have to be torn down and rebuilt."
What's Next: Reopening Alcatraz as a federal prison would require a major federal investment, with upfront costs likely in the hundreds of millions and ongoing annual expenses far exceeding those of typical mainland prison.&nbsp;

(NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CWX#NYSE">CWX</a>) could also be called upon to operate the location once restoration is complete.&nbsp;
A rebuilt Alcatraz prison would also need security, communications and surveillance solutions from providers who specialize in public safety and correctional facilities like Axon Enterprise, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AXON#NASDAQ">AXON</a>) and Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MSI#NYSE">MSI</a>).&nbsp;&nbsp;
Details of the plan to reopen Alcatraz remain unclear, including proposed costs or a timeline for expanding and opening the facility. However, the Bureau of Prisons, Justice Department, FBI and Homeland Security are expected to work on the project.

Fluor Corp (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FLR#NYSE">FLR</a>) shares are trading slightly higher after the company posted mixed <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/05/b45160690/fluor-reports-first-quarter-2025-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first-quarter 2025 results</a>, with key metrics surpassing some expectations.
Fluor's revenue grew 6.6% year-over-year to $3.982 billion, missing the consensus of $4.18 billion. Adjusted EPS improved to 73 cents from 47 cents a year ago, above the consensus of 50 cents.
Sales by segment: Urban Solutions $2.16 billion (+45.8% YoY), Energy Solutions $1.21 billion (-15.8% YoY), Mission Solutions $597 million (-0.67% YoY), and Others $22 million (-90% YoY).
Fluor recorded a total segment profit of $131 million, compared to $118 million a year ago. The margin expanded 13 bps to 3.3%.
The company reported a net loss from core operations of $251 million, down from earnings of $67 million a year ago.
Fluor reported $5.8 billion in new awards, down 17% year over year, with 87% reimbursable. Backlog fell 12.3% to $28.7 billion, and legacy project backlog dropped 53% to $585 million.
Adjusted EBITDA rose 76.1% year-over-year to $155 million; the margin gained 154 bps to 3.9%.
At the end of the quarter, Fluor's cash and marketable securities at the end of the year were $2.5 billion. Operating cash flow of ($286) million, down from ($111) million year over year, due to higher working capital on major projects.
Fluor accelerated first-quarter share repurchases to $142 million and is targeting $600 million in total buybacks for 2025.
Fluor is engaging with clients to address potential economic uncertainty while maintaining its 2025 guidance, which excludes specific adjustment items.
2025 Outlook reaffirmed: Flour's adjusted EBITDA is projected at $575 million to $675 million, with adjusted EPS between $2.25 and $2.75 per share versus the $2.48 consensus, assuming a 30%-35% tax rate.
FLR Price Action: Fluor shares are trading higher by 0.28% at $35.84 at publication on Friday.
