Many trading strategies and styles are based on the concept of reversion to the mean. If a stock gets overextended in one direction, there is a good chance it reverses and heads back in the other direction.
Most of the time, a stock stays within its typical or usual trading range. If the sellers get aggressive and emotional, pushing the price below this range, the stock is said to be oversold.
This will draw buyers into the market, who will expect a reversion to the mean or a move higher. Their buying could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

There are many ways to determine if a stock is oversold. One popular indicator is called the stochastic, which is on the lower part of the chart.
If the red and blue lines are at the lower end of the range, it indicates oversold conditions. As you can see, that's the case now.
Humana is also getting close to a level that has been support previously. This could also be bullish.
Support levels can stay intact for a long time due to remorseful sellers. These are people who sold their shares while they were at support, who came to regret doing so after the price rallied.
Some vow to buy their shares back if they could eventually get them for the same price they were sold. So, when the stock drops back to the price that had been support, these regretful sellers place buy orders.
If there is a large number of these buy orders, it could create support at the level again. The combination of being oversold and at support could set the stage for a move higher for Humana.

Bloomberg <a target="_blank" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-07-16/tesla-readies-a-six-seat-version-of-the-model-y-suv-for-china" rel="noreferrer noopener">reports</a>, citing data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology&#8217;s <a target="_blank" href="https://www.miit.gov.cn/datainfo/cpgg/art/2025/art_4efe58701e4b4d3da9d1ff4b0ad9951f.html" rel="noreferrer noopener">website</a>, that the vehicle will be about 150 centimeters (5.9 inches) longer than the existing Model Y.

Battery supplier LG New Energy is listed in the filing, indicating its role in powering the vehicle, the report adds.
According to <a href="https://pro.benzinga.com/?gspk=YWRhbWVja2VydDUzMzY&amp;gsxid=zBMR4PKmcgBw" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Benzinga Pro</a>, TSLA stock has gained over 24% in the past year, but it&#8217;s down over 15.7% year to date. Future Fund LLC&#8217;s managing director, Gary Black, recently hailed Tesla&#8217;s sales in the Chinese domestic market as <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46409821/tesla-rebounds-in-china-with-12-3k-weekly-registrations-highest-2nd-week-ever" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Elon Musk&#8217;s EV maker gains momentum.</a>
The investor took to social media platform X on Tuesday to share the data in a post. &#8220;Tesla China reported a strong 12.3K insured registrations for the week of July 7-13,&#8221; he said in his post.
The investor added that the figures indicated it was the &#8220;highest second week&#8221; of the quarter of all time for Tesla in China. &#8220;After two weeks. 3Q is +92% QoQ and -3% YoY,&#8221; Black said in the post.
Still, BYD (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45969242/elon-musk-has-a-new-problem-byd-beats-tesla-in-global-ev-sales-amid-europe-expansion">recently surpassed</a> Tesla in global battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales, according to the International Council on Clean Transportation. It also reported annual revenue of 777 billion yuan ($107 billion) for 2024, surpassing Tesla.
Tesla will sell the Model Y rear-wheel drive trim in India for over 6 million Indian National Rupees (INR) or approximately $70,000, according to a listing on <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46407991/elon-musks-tesla-to-sell-model-y-from-70000-in-india-launches-first-showroom-in-mumbai" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tesla&#8217;s official Indian website.</a>
Tesla will also offer the Model Y long-range rear-wheel drive will retail for 6.8 million INR (roughly $79,000). The company will also offer FSD or Full Self-Driving in the country for an additional 600,000 INR, or approximately $7,000.
Price Action: TSLA shares are trading higher by about 3% to $320 at last check on Wednesday.

Google-parent Alphabet Inc's (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) strategic position and <a>tech-first </a>corporate culture drive upside to the stock valuation, according to Needham.
The Alphabet Analyst: <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-stock-ratings/analyst/580607ae846faa000106ab43/laura-martin">Analyst Laura Martin</a> maintained a Buy rating, while raising the price target from $178 to $210.
The Alphabet Thesis: The latest labor productivity trends indicate that the company's execution is improving, Martin said in the note.

Wells Fargo &amp; Company (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WFC#NYSE">WFC</a>) shares dipped after the banking giant reported mixed second-quarter 2025 earnings. While the company surpassed analyst expectations for earnings per share and revenue, a significant downward revision in its full-year net interest income (NII) forecast, a key profitability metric, raised investor concerns. 
This adjustment, driven by a weaker performance in its Markets division, overshadowed otherwise solid results and drew comparisons to the robust performance of peers like JPMorgan Chase &amp; Co.&#8217;s (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/JPM#NYSE">JPM</a>).
Wells Fargo reported a NII of $11.71 billion on Tuesday, down 2% year over year in the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/earnings/25/07/46414749/wells-fargos-net-interest-income-shrinks-in-q2-bank-trims-outlook" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">second quarter of 2025</a>.

The bank reported earnings of $1.60 per share, beating the consensus of $1.40. &nbsp;Revenue increased 1% year over year to $20.82 billion. Analysts <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">expected $20.78 billion</a>.
Lower NII was driven by the impact of lower interest rates on floating rate assets and deposit mix changes, partially offset by lower market funding and deposit pricing.
For fiscal year 2025, Wells Fargo expects NII to be roughly in line with the 2024 income of $47.7 billion. In April, Wells Fargo&nbsp;expected NII to be ~1 to 3% higher than the 2024 NII <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44759629/wells-fargo-doesnt-change-outlook-but-ceo-expects-volatility-and-slower-economic-environment-in-2025" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">of $47.7 billion</a>.
In stark contrast to Wells Fargo&#8217;s NII headwinds, UBS analyst Erika Najarian said, &#8216;JPMorgan (JPM) flexes its revenue muscle yet again&#8217; in the second quarter of 2025. The banking behemoth reported adjusted EPS of $4.96, beating consensus estimates of $4.48.
Managed net Revenue fell 10% year over year to $45.68 billion. Reported net Revenue declined 11% to $44.91 billion, topping the consensus estimate of $44.17 billion.&nbsp;
In a comparative analysis, UBS stated on Tuesday, &#8220;By contrast, we think WFC has &#8216;tough comps&#8217; to JPM results. WFC reported &#8216;core&#8217; EPS of $1.46, excluding a 6-cent gain on the acquisition of the remaining interest in a merchant services JV, and normalizing out an 8-cent tax benefit vs. expectations.&#8221;
Delving deeper into Wells Fargo&#8217;s NII performance, Najarian highlighted that Wells Fargo&#8217;s NII fell 3 cents below Wall Street expectations due to a slight 3-basis-point reduction in its net interest margin (NIM).
Najarian further noted that, as many investors anticipated, Wells Fargo reduced its full-year NII forecast to match last year&#8217;s $47.7 billion, largely due to the weaker Markets division performance being offset by higher fees. 
The analyst stated, &#8220;While the NII revision lower was largely anticipated and negative positioning here appears highly consensus, we still expect shares to open weaker given upward revisions at JPMorgan Chase and decent recent stock performance coming into the print.&#8221;
Consequently, analyst estimates are likely to be lowered by about $150 million, or roughly 3 cents per share. While core fee income was largely in line with expectations and expenses came in slightly better (about 1 cent lower), the overall expense outlook remains unchanged.
The analyst also commented on the market&#8217;s anticipation regarding Wells Fargo&#8217;s capital allocation following its strong stress test results. 
&#8220;We think the market is also seeking more color on how WFC plans to &#8216;spend&#8217; its capital windfall from solid stress test results, but we don&#8217;t anticipate much specific color from management on buybacks, which would support weakness in the stock if given,&#8221; the analyst said. 
Price Action: WFC stock is trading lower by 0.82% to $79.51 at last check Wednesday.

Galaxy <a href="https://x.com/galaxyBTC/status/1945337859977687541">noted</a> XRP's tendency to retest its previous all-time high, consolidate just below it, and then break through into full price discovery. According to him, $3.30 remains the level to beat for the real rally to begin.
Veteran trader DonAlt, who first <a href="https://x.com/CryptoDonAlt/status/1945375562286895284">called</a> XRP when it was under $0.70, says the setup is aligning once again. 
If it clears $3.30 like last time, this next leg could be even stronger, he concluded.
Statistics: Coinglass data shows XRP open interest hit all-time highs on July 15, with an 8.8% spike in the past 24 hours. Liquidations totaled $7.99 million, with shorts accounting for $4.36 million, indicating strong upward pressure forced many bearish bets to close.

The biscuits are nutritionally dense and are often used in disaster and conflict zones. But since January, after President Donald Trump signed an executive order halting nearly all foreign aid, career U.S. Agency for International Development staff reportedly said they were blocked from shipping the food.

Federal workers warned for months that the food would go to waste, but, according to The Atlantic, they received no response from Trump-appointed leaders now in charge of American foreign aid.&nbsp;
Despite Secretary of State Marco Rubio telling Congress in May that food aid would reach recipients before expiring, The Atlantic reported that the destruction order had already been issued weeks earlier.
The United Arab Emirates, where the biscuits were stored, has strict rules that prevent expired food from being repurposed even for animals. Once the biscuits expire, their nutritional value deteriorates quickly, making them useless.
Taxpayers will now not only absorb the $800,000 cost of the purchase, but also the $130,000 required to incinerate the food.

The issue extends beyond just the biscuits. According to <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us-aid-cuts-leave-food-millions-mouldering-storage-2025-05-16/">Reuters</a>, USAID warehouses still hold more than 60,000 metric tons of emergency food, including cereal, oil, and high-nutrition pastes for malnourished children. Many of these supplies were meant for regions like Sudan and the Horn of Africa but remain stuck due to bureaucratic gridlock and a lack of experienced logistics staff after layoffs.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Government Breakdown</h2>
Reich recently warned of a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/07/46389339/robert-reich-says-the-u-s-government-is-no-longer-able-to-protect-us-from-real-hazards-because-its-shifting-funds-to-fake-hazards">broader breakdown in government</a> function and priorities. &#8220;The U.S. government is no longer able to protect us from real hazards, such as flash floods, because it&#8217;s shifting funds to fake hazards, such as a non-existent immigrant crime wave,&#8221; he wrote for <a href="https://www.alternet.org/america-reckoning/">AlterNet</a>.

He pointed to recent staffing shortages at National Weather Service offices in Texas, which he claims were caused by the Trump administration and have left communities vulnerable during <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/health-care/25/07/46265894/unprecedented-texas-flash-floods-result-in-over-50-fatalities-27-girls-still-missing">severe flooding</a>.
He also criticized the Trump-backed spending package, which he calls the &#8220;Big Ugly Bill.&#8221; Reich claims it <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/financing/25/07/46215083/how-trumps-big-beautiful-bill-impacts-snap-medicaid-taxes-and-student-loans">slashes Medicaid and food stamps</a> while funding &#8220;another giant tax cut for the rich, along with 10,000 more [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] agents and a gulag of detention camps.&#8221;
According to Reich, we're being forced to choose between &#8220;a government that protects us from real dangers or a police state.&#8221;&nbsp;

Goldman Sachs maintains the Buy rating on BlackRock, revising the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/BLK/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">price forecast $1,163 from $1,115</a>.
Analyst Alexander Blostein on Wednesday wrote the investors grappled with margin commentary that pointed to ~44.5% margin in the second half of 2025, weaker than buyside expectations following the integration of HPS

&#8220;BLK remains in the early stages of its transformation story, and despite the 2Q results, we remain constructive on the firm&#8217;s various growth initiatives,&#8221; said Kyle Voigt in an investor note on Tuesday.
Keefe analyst lowered forward estimates mainly on lower investment advisory base fees and higher compensation expense, offset slightly by higher performance fees. The analyst reiterates the Outperform rating, while lowering the price target from $1,260 to $1,215.
JPMorgan also lowered the price forecast for BlackRock from $1,018 to $1,093.
Analyst Kenneth Worthington wrote on Tuesday, &#8220;With the closing of the HPS acquisition, BlackRock looks to execute against its private market ambitions over the medium term, with alts being a key growth driver for the organization.&#8221;
&#8220;We see alternatives helping to mitigate what we see as a maturing equity ETF business,&#8221; the JP Morgan analyst added.
BLK Price Action: BlackRock stock is up 2.95% at $1,078.40 at publication on Wednesday.
