Spirit Aerosystems Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/SPR#NYSE">SPR</a>) shares traded higher in the premarket on Monday following a definitive agreement with Airbus SE (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EADSY#OTC">EADSY</a>) on Sunday to transfer ownership of specific assets and sites related to Airbus aerostructure production.
After the completion of this transaction, Airbus will assume ownership of the Spirit assets at the Kinston site in North Carolina, U.S. (A350 fuselage sections), the St. Nazaire site in France (A350 fuselage sections) and the Casablanca site in Morocco (A321 and A220 components).
The assets also include the production of A320 and A350 wing components in Prestwick, Scotland, the production of A220 pylons in Wichita, Kansas, U.S., and the production of A220 wings in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Spirit AeroSystems plans to sell its Subang, Malaysia site to a third party.
If no suitable buyer is found, Airbus will also take ownership of the production of the A220 mid-fuselage at the Belfast site.
Additionally, the assets in Subang, Malaysia, related to Airbus programs will be acquired by Airbus if no suitable buyer is identified before the transaction closes.
The compensation amount has been revised to reflect this updated transaction scope, consistent with the binding term sheet agreement announced on July 1, 2024.
As part of the deal, Spirit AeroSystems will pay Airbus $439 million, subject <a target="_blank" href="https://www.airbus.com/en/newsroom/press-releases/2025-04-airbus-signs-definitive-agreement-with-spirit-aerosystems" rel="noreferrer noopener">to </a>certain closing adjustments.
Moreover, Airbus has signed a memorandum of agreement with Spirit AeroSystems, agreeing to provide non-interest-bearing lines of credit totaling $200 million to support Spirit AeroSystems&#8217; work on Airbus programs.

The solar panels will supply the LEO constellation with around 80 kW of power, enough to operate 16 Hubble-sized space telescopes.
In addition to this development, Rocket Lab recently announced that it has signed a non-binding term sheet with certain lenders to acquire a controlling stake in Mynaric AG, a <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/03/44270724/rocket-lab-takes-a-bold-leap-75-million-offer-for-mynaric-to-boost-satellite-tech-sda-contracts" rel="noreferrer noopener">provider of laser communication technologies.</a>
The deal, valued at an initial $75 million, will be paid in either cash or Rocket Lab stock. An additional earn-out of up to $75 million is tied to Mynaric's future revenue targets.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and Mynaric's ongoing restructuring process under German law. Once completed, the acquisition will further strengthen Rocket Lab's position in the space and communications sector.

Stock indices in England, France, and Germany have made new all-time highs in 2025, outpacing the modest gains from US stocks. The Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF is up more than 8% over the last three months, while the SPDR S&amp;P 500 ETF has traded flat.

The Stoxx 600 index, which covers markets across the bloc, made several new all-time highs in February, led by a surge from the defense sector. Is this finally the year that European stocks beat their American counterparts? With the United States threatening to pull back from Europe, these tailwinds may have more room to run, especially if the EU follows through on defense spending expansion.
Today we'll look at six European stocks that could continue outperforming in 2025. Some of these companies are available to US investors through American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) or on over-the-counter (OTC) exchanges, so be sure to understand how these assets and markets function before putting any capital to work.

Danish healthcare giant Novo Nordisk is responsible for Wegovy and Ozempic, two of the prescription GLP-1 medications taking the world by storm. Both are different forms of semaglutide, as Wegovy is FDA-approved for weight loss while Ozempic is only approved for Type 2 diabetes. Demand for these drugs has been so strong that shortages have been common, but the FDA recently announced that Wegovy and Ozempic are no longer on their shortage list.

Novo Nordisk suffered a lost year in 2024 during the shortage, losing ground to Eli Lilly's Mounjaro and Zepbound. However, the company is still the top player in the GLP-1 space and posted solid revenue (8.1%) and earnings (9.6%) growth in the most recent report for Q4 2024.
The company's margins are also the envy of European drug makers: 34.8% gross, far outpacing EU competitors AstraZeneca (13%) and Roche (17.5%). NVO also sits on a formidable $9.8 billion cash pile. NVO shares have been choppy since the start of 2025, but the company issued strong guidance and is well-positioned to rebound after a rough 2024.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Unilever PLC (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UL#NYSE">UL</a>)</h2>
Unilever is a global consumer and household products company that markets itself under popular brands such as Ben and Jerry's, Axe, Dove, Breyers, Vaseline, and many more. The firm has offices in over 80 countries, but its headquarters has been in London for more than 100 years.

Uncertainty is beginning to weigh on investors as US consumer discretionary stocks have been tumbling for most of February while consumer staples surge higher. There's some evidence that businesses and consumers have been pulling forward demand on tariff threats, which could further boost the staples sector if big-ticket items have been already purchased and consumers focus on necessities over luxuries.
UL has a strong cash position and healthy margins to take advantage of this trend; it's also cheaper in terms of forward price-to-earnings and price-to-sales rates than American counterparts like Proctor and Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, and Colgate-Palmolive.

Airbus is under the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. (EADS) umbrella and has a market cap of $139 billion, nearly $33 billion more than its closest competitor, Safran SA. Airbus has a cheaper valuation than Safran or Rheinmetall and a healthier free cash flow pile ($3.9 billion). Airbus might not be lagging in the European defense sector for much longer.

BNP Paribas is a French bank and component of the CAC40, the country&#8217;s primary stock index. With a market value of over $80 billion, it is double the size of other European banking competitors like Societe Generale and Deutsche Bank.

BNP Paribas is attractive for several reasons, none more so than the 7.03 forward P/E ratio and 1.22 P/S ratio. Many European banks have extremely affordable valuations, but BNP offers the security of a large-cap with the upside of a smaller company. Plus, the 5% dividend yield is a nice bonus for investors.

The stock is up more than 38% in the last three months alone, but the fundamentals are strong, and the stock is comfortably above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages with a Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading of 55.

Airbus SE (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/EADSY#OTC">EADSY</a>) reported fourth-quarter <a href="https://www.airbus.com/en/investors/financial-results" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">revenue </a>rising 8% year-over-year to 24.716 billion euros, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/earnings">above the consensus of 24.567 billion euros.</a>
EBIT Adjusted for the quarter rose by 16%, driven by higher commercial aircraft deliveries, reduced R&amp;D expenses, and strong performance in Airbus Helicopters&#8217; programs and services.
Earning per share was 3.07 euros, up from 1.85 euros YoY, beating the consensus of 2.43 euros.
Quarterly sales by segments: Airbus 17.767 billion euros (+9% YoY), Airbus Helicopters 3.066 billion euros (+15% YoY), and Airbus Defence and Space 4.473 billion euros (+3% YoY).
Order intake for the year fell to 103.5 billion euros (2023: 186.5 billion euros), while the order book grew to 629 billion euros (2023: 554 billion euros), driven by a book-to-bill ratio above 1 and a stronger U.S. dollar.
&#8220;We achieved strong order intake across all businesses in 2024, with a book-to-bill well above 1, confirming the solid demand for our products and services. We delivered on our 2024 guidance in what was a testing year for Airbus,&#8221; said Guillaume Faury, Airbus Chief Executive Officer.
For fiscal 2024, Consolidated revenue rose 6% YoY to 69.2 billion euros, driven by higher commercial aircraft deliveries (766 vs. 735 in 2023), with Airbus&#8217; commercial aircraft revenue up 6% to 50.6 billion euros.
2024 Segment Performance: Airbus Helicopters&#8217; revenue grew 8% to 7.9 billion euros with 361 deliveries (2023: 346), while Airbus Defence and Space revenue increased 5% to 12.1 billion euros, supported by Air Power, with seven A400M deliveries.
Airbus stated that the A320 Family ramp-up continues, targeting 75 aircraft per month by 2027, while A330 production stabilizes at four per month. Supply chain challenges, especially with Spirit AeroSystems, are impacting A350 and A220 ramp-ups.
The A350 targets 12 per month by 2028, with its freighter variant now expected in H2 2027, while the A220 aims for 14 per month in 2026.
The company recorded a 121 million euro charge for the A400M program due to contract updates and production risks. The company is evaluating order impacts on manufacturing, while technical qualification risks remain stable from 2023.
Dividend: The company stated that its Board will propose a 2.00 euro per share dividend and a 1.00 euro special dividend for 2024, with payment set for April 24, 2025, pending approval at the April 15 AGM.
The company expects no major disruptions to trade, economy, air traffic, supply chain, or operations, excluding potential new tariffs. Spirit AeroSystems integration impact is factored in, assuming a July 1, 2025, closing.
