What Happened: Appearing on Bloomberg&#8217;s Wall Street Week on Saturday, alongside former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, Ferguson used a term that he says he hasn&#8217;t used in a while, &#8220;Chimerica,&#8221; referring to the symbiotic relationship between the U.S. and China.
Ferguson, however, highlights the deeply asymmetrical nature of this relationship, which he had referred to as being &#8220;unsustainable&#8221; all the way back in 2007.

&#8220;The U.S. does the importing, China does the exporting, the U.S. does the consuming, and China does the saving,&#8221; he says, referring to the argument he had made several decades ago, stating that &#8220;Chimerica&#8221; would eventually turn into Chimaera, a mythical fire-breathing monster that causes destruction.
&#8220;The interesting thing&#8221; about this, Ferguson notes, is that despite the increasing hostility between the two nations, the economic relationship between the two countries has been &#8220;extraordinarily persistent,&#8221; with the U.S. still importing enormous amounts from China.
&#8220;Somehow Chimerica and Cold War II seem capable of coexisting,&#8221; he says, at which point Summers weighs in to say that he likes to call this phenomenon &#8220;hostile codependence.&#8221;
Ferguson&#8217;s comments underscore a key challenge facing the Trump Administration, that even in the event of deglobalization, it&#8217;s hard to vie for a clean break.

Wedbush Securities' managing director Dan Ives has reiterated his bullish views on Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) despite tense relations between U.S. President Donald Trump and CEO Elon Musk.
What Happened: "Trump/Musk going from BFFs to frenemies does not change our bullish view of the autonomous path looking forward," Ives said in a post on social media platform X on Sunday.
The Tesla bull then shared how he still expects President Trump to introduce a federal regulatory framework for autonomous driving in the country, something that CEO Musk has pushed for in the past.

He cautioned investors against buying into the hype created by the engineered &#8220;pop&#8221; on IPO day.
&#8220;As we just saw with Circle&#8217;s 168% pop, this sharp price increase creates huge excitement and bullish sentiment around the company. All eyes focus on the stock, drawing more investors in and driving price higher. but don&#8217;t fall for it,&#8221; Kwok said.

Kwok advised retail investors to wait 90-180 days after the IPO to invest, allowing for price discovery and the end of the lockup period.
&#8220;When the lockup period ends, insiders and early investors typically sell their shares, causing lots of selling pressure and pushing price down. this typically gives long-term retail investors a great opportunity to buy shares at a discount,&#8221; Kwok added. In the case of Circle, the lockup period is 180 days.
Kwok also cited the example of Facebook, which was later rebranded as Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/META#NASDAQ">META</a>).
