The European automotive market saw a 5.1% decline in new car registrations during June as the European Union saw sales slip 7.3% YoY. Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) recorded a huge decline in sales, even as EV sales surged in the region.
What Happened: The region recorded 1,243,375 vehicles, including electric vehicles, Hybrids and ICE-powered vehicles, during June 2025, the ACEA or European Automobile Manufacturers' Association said on Wednesday.
The data suggests June 2024 saw the region record over 1,311,043 vehicles, indicating a 5.1% YoY decline. Despite overall sales going down, EV sales in the region recorded a 14.5% surge, with Germany registering over 47,163 EV units.
However, Tesla continued to experience sluggish sales as the EV giant recorded a 22.9% decline, registering 34,781 sales, down from last year's 45,087 sales. Tesla's market share in June slipped to 2.8% in the region.

Elon Musk's Tesla Loses Ground In Europe — Sales Down 23% Even As EV Market Grows

BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) is going ahead full steam with its global expansion plans as the Chinese EV giant's luxury brand, Yangwang, will officially enter the European market next year.
What Happened: Yangwang's debut in Europe will follow the launch of BYD's other sub-brand Denza early next year, Stella Li, BYD's Vice President, told Autocar <a href="https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/byd-primes-bentley-rivalling-yangwang-brand-european-launch">on</a> Monday.
Li said that Yangwang cars, including the U9 and U8 as well as the U7 sedan, are all slated to launch in Europe next year.
However, the report does not highlight whether BYD plans to offer its cars at prices lower than would-be competitors like Ferrari and Bentley. BYD's EVs are subject to 17% tariffs by the EU, the report suggests, which could impact the Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) rival's pricing strategy.

Tesla Rival BYD's Global Expansion Continues As Luxury Brand Yangwang Set For European Debut In 2026

Chinese EV giant BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) experienced an 8% year-over-year slip in Chinese sales during June.
What Happened: The company experienced a slip in sales as rivals like Xiaomi Corp (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XIACY#OTC">XIACY</a>), Xpeng Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XPEV#NASDAQ">XPEV</a>), etc. gained in sales, Bloomberg reported <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-07-21/life-atop-china-s-car-market-is-starting-to-look-shaky-for-byd">on</a> Monday.
Analysts from investment banks like Deutsche Bank expect the company to hit 5 million wholesale units in 2025, the report suggests, while Morgan Stanley lowered its projection to 5.3 million.
BYD would need to sell over 560,000 units a month to meet its annual delivery projection for 2025 of 5.5 million units sold, which could prove difficult amid electric vehicle price war scrutiny by the Chinese Communist Party, according to the report. 
However, BYD's overseas sales are on track to reach the 800,000 unit milestone the company set out to deliver this year, with 60% of that figure already achieved by BYD, the report suggests.
Why It Matters: The news comes as BYD has adopted an aggressive pricing strategy in the Chinese market with discounted prices amid fierce competition in the sector, which has <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45715047/byds-aggressive-pricing-triggers-ev-rat-race-stock-tumbles-authorities-voice-concern">raised concerns within</a> the Chinese government.

Tesla Rival BYD's Domestic Sales Slip 8% In June, Analysts Slash Annual Delivery Projections Amid EV Price War Scrutiny

Next week, all eyes will be on electric vehicle leader Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) as the company is scheduled to release its<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/TSLA/earnings"> financial results for the second quarter</a>. Analysts will be looking for earnings per share of 42 cents on revenue of $22.79 billion. In the year-ago quarter, Tesla posted EPS of 52 cents on sales of $25.5 billion, thus reflecting significant changes in the broader EV ecosystem.
Nevertheless, the bulls will be looking for positive signals — and they wouldn't be unjustified in their optimism. Fundamentally, one of the most significant catalysts for Tesla's business is last month's <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46097512/robotaxi-roll-out-tesla-uber-and-waymo-take-diverging-roads-to-autonomy">rollout of its Robotaxi model</a>. Admittedly, the EV manufacturer is new to the space and faces significant competition from Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/UBER#NYSE">UBER</a>) and Waymo. However, with the Robotaxi launch, there's<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46048103/teslas-robotaxi-rollout-sparks-expansion-buzz-elon-musks-company-says-fsd-can-be-deployed-anywhere-after-austin-launch"> much buzz about the expansion of the initiative</a>.
Another potential tailwind may stem from Tesla's energy-related division. In June, the company announced that it had signed an<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/25/06/46022846/elon-musks-tesla-to-build-first-grid-scale-energy-storage-site-in-china-with-550-million-investment"> energy storage deal</a> with Shanghai amid trade uncertainty between Washington and Beijing. Specifically, Tesla will set up its first grid-scale energy storage station in Shanghai using the company's Megapack batteries, per a Reuters report. The deal involves an investment of over 4 billion yuan or $550 million.
Finally, in terms of bullish factors, it's difficult to ignore the resilience of TSLA stock. For example, in the first quarter, Tesla<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/04/44937440/tesla-q1-misses-estimates-as-tariff-pressures-weigh-on-outlook-lower-cost-evs-still-on-track"> delivered disappointing results</a>, missing on both the top and bottom lines. Yet TSLA stock was no worse for wear, soaring higher despite the ugly print.
Although the positives seem robust, the EV maker isn't without concerns. One of the biggest headwinds is also the most conspicuous from a branding perspective: the<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/07/46252465/cybertruck-dreams-shatter-as-musks-250k-goal-unravels"> unraveling of the Cybertruck</a>. Initially, Tesla CEO Elon Musk had grand ambitions for the futuristic ride, with a planned production capacity of 250,000 vehicles annually. However, last year, only 38,965 Cybertrucks were sold, with recent data suggesting the sales trend could be stalling even more.
Furthermore, the competition is heating up. Last month, BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) sent a shot across the bow by<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45969242/elon-musk-has-a-new-problem-byd-beats-tesla-in-global-ev-sales-amid-europe-expansion"> edging past Tesla in terms of global sales</a> for the first time. This remarkable development can be attributed to BYD's expansion in multiple regions, particularly the European market.

In either case, the main function of these Direxion ETFs is to provide a convenient mechanism for speculation. Typically, traders who wish to use leverage or to open short positions must engage the options market. However, financial derivatives carry complexities that not all investors want to accept. In contrast, Direxion ETFs can be bought and sold much like any other publicly traded security, thus mitigating the learning curve.
Still, prospective participants must be aware of these funds' unique risks. First, leveraged and inverse ETFs tend to be more volatile than standard funds tracking a benchmark index like the S&amp;P 500. Apple Supplier Foxconn To Enter Japanese Market With EV Buses Backed By Taiwan Subsidies

A leading <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/mining">global miner</a>, BHP (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BHP#NYSE">BHP</a>), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FinDreams Battery Co., a subsidiary of the Chinese EV and battery manufacturer BYD Group (OTCPK: BYDDF).
The partnership, <a href="https://www.bhp.com/news/media-centre/releases/2025/07/bhp-explores-opportunities-with-byd-in-battery-electrification">announced today</a>, will help the electrification of BHP's operations. The two parties will work on innovative battery-powered solutions for heavy mining machinery, light vehicle fleets, and the essential charging infrastructure, all aimed at helping BHP achieve its goal of lowering carbon emissions.
"This relationship is a further step towards BHP meeting our decarbonisation ambitions for our operations and helping to drive transformative change within the global resources industry," said Rashpal Bhatti, BHP's Group Procurement Officer. "BYD is at the cutting edge of battery innovation, and by working together, we can help shape a more productive and sustainable future for mining."
The partnership will help BHP achieve its long-term net-zero operational emission target by 2050, as well as its medium-term goal of reducing emissions by at least 30% (compared to 2020) by 2030. Electrification is a lucrative proposal for miners since fossil fuel price volatility can notably influence their cost of operations. However, this shift brings along challenges in energy and infrastructure.
McKinsey's <a href="https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/metals-and-mining/our-insights/electrifying-mines-could-double-their-electricity-demand">research</a> estimates that electrifying the mobile fleet in the global iron ore sector alone could lead to a surge in electricity demand by 20 to 30 terawatt-hours, more than doubling consumption at many sites, driving significant capital investments.&nbsp; Per their estimates, the power infrastructure for just the iron ore mining industry could cost anywhere from $30 to $45 billion. Mines would have to upgrade grid connections, install substations, and expand renewable energy generation.
Yet, not everything falls within the mining industry's control. The technological development of batteries will play an important role in this endeavor. To support intensive use in mining operations, batteries need to be of larger scale, with higher density and faster charge rate – else the industry risks compromising productivity.
BHP's rival Fortescue Metals provided some orientation with their large-scale <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/24/09/41021967/fortescue-announces-2-8b-electrification-deal-chairman-claims-future-is-zero-emissions">electrification effort</a> in 2024. A $2.8 billion order was for 475 zero-emission machines, including 360 battery-electric haul trucks. Despite its ambitions to reach net-zero by 2030, Fortescue had to cut 700 jobs and pause some <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/large-cap/24/07/39836855/fortescue-delays-green-hydrogen-ambitions-reaffirms-commitment-to-future-projects">green hydrogen investments</a> amid high energy costs and falling iron ore prices.
Yet at 4 times the market cap, BHP is a much larger player, with the capacity to absorb such capex. Still, producing cleaner commodities will require not only strategic partnerships but also regulatory clarity and technological breakthroughs.

BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) has recorded a sale of over 377,628 units in June, which is the Chinese EV giant's best sales performance of 2025 so far.
What Happened: The Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) rival reported an 11% YoY growth in sales during May, according to sales data released on Tuesday.
BYD sold over 206,884 EVs, which accounted for 54.8% of the sales, while 170,744 units were Plug-In Hybrid vehicles. BYD's EV sales grew 42.5%, according to the data.
Interestingly, the brand exported over 90,049 units outside of China, an almost 234% increase from June 2024, when BYD exported over 30,014 units.
Why It Matters: The data comes as BYD has been bolstering its presence both in China as well as in overseas markets. The company recently released a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/07/46187880/tesla-rival-byd-launches-11000-long-range-trim-of-its-best-selling-seagull-ev-as-price-war-heats-up">longer-range variant</a> of its best-selling Seagull EV priced at around $11,000.
The release could help the company cement its already strong position in the Chinese domestic car market. BYD has also denied reports in the media that suggested the company was <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/25/06/46111314/byd-denies-production-cutbacks-amid-ev-price-war-says-output-remains-stable-report">scaling back on production</a> amid China's fiercely competitive <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45715047/byds-aggressive-pricing-triggers-ev-rat-race-stock-tumbles-authorities-voice-concern">EV price war</a>.
Overseas, BYD has been targeting the European market, where it released the Euro-spec version of the Seagull, called the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/05/45560953/byds-europe-pivot-in-full-swing-with-new-26000-affordable-ev-amid-tesla-sales-slump">Dolphin Surf EV</a>, for $26,000, as well as setting up a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/04/45097773/satellite-images-put-tesla-rival-byds-hungarian-factory-capable-of-producing-200k-units-annually-in-the-spotlight">production facility in Hungary</a> capable of producing 200,000 units annually.
BYD also overtook Tesla in <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45969242/elon-musk-has-a-new-problem-byd-beats-tesla-in-global-ev-sales-amid-europe-expansion">global sales</a> recently for the first time ever, according to a report released by the International Council on Clean Transportation or ICCT, citing sales data.

Tesla Rival BYD Reports 2025's Best-Selling Month In June Amid Exports Surge

BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) has unveiled a new, longer-range trim of the company's best-selling car, the Seagull EV, in China amid the EV price war.
What Happened: The Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) rival unveiled the long-range trim, priced at $11,000 on Monday. The hatchback offers 252 miles of CLTC range on a single charge, with a 38.9 kWh battery pack.
BYD offers the Seagull in 4 trim levels, with the base Vitality trim offered for $7,800 and the range-topping Flying trim available for $11,800. Seagull is also equipped with BYD's God's Eye advanced driver assistance system.
Why It Matters: The news comes in as BYD has been offering aggressive discounts in the highly competitive Chinese auto industry, which is currently <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45715047/byds-aggressive-pricing-triggers-ev-rat-race-stock-tumbles-authorities-voice-concern">grappling with a price war</a>.
BYD also recently released the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45855643/tesla-rival-byd-launches-15000-seal-06-sedan-as-chinas-ev-price-war-heats-up">Seal 06 sedan</a>, priced at $15,000, positioned squarely against the Tesla Model 3, which it undercuts by almost half as the Model 3 retails for around $30,000 in China.
The company has also been expanding its presence in other markets. BYD recently launched the Seagull EV's Euro-spec version, dubbed the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/05/45560953/byds-europe-pivot-in-full-swing-with-new-26000-affordable-ev-amid-tesla-sal">Dolphin Surf EV</a>, which is priced at around $26,000 in the region.
Despite the European expansion, the company has had to deal with some issues, with reports suggesting that the company planned to scale down production, <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/25/06/46111314/byd-denies-production-cutbacks-amid-ev-price-war-says-output-remains-stable-report">which BYD denied</a>.
Xiaomi Corp (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XIACY#OTC">XIACY</a>) also unveiled the company's very first <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/25/06/46132552/telsla-model-y-rival-xiaomi-yu7-suv-receives-nearly-300000-orders-in-1-hour-in-china">all-electric SUV</a>, the YU7, which goes up against the Tesla Model Y in China.

Tesla Rival BYD Launches $11,000 Long-Range Trim Of Its Best-Selling Seagull EV As Price War Heats Up

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/F#NYSE">F</a>) CEO Jim Farley has hailed Chinese EVs as competition from Chinese automakers gets stiffer throughout the globe.
What Happened: "It&#8217;s the most humbling thing I have ever seen. Seventy percent of all EVs in the world, electric vehicles, are made in China," Farley said at an event, Yahoo Finance reported <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/fords-ceo-says-chinas-ev-054800452.html">on</a> Monday.
The CEO praised the vehicles for the advanced technology, hailing Xiaomi Corp. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XIACY#OTC">XIACY</a>) and Huawei's presence in "every car" in China. "You get in, you don&#8217;t have to pair your phone. Automatically, your whole digital life is mirrored in the car," Farley said.
He also said that part of the reason why Ford couldn't offer such technology in its vehicles is because Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) and Alphabet Inc.'s (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOGL#NASDAQ">GOOGL</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/GOOG#NASDAQ">GOOG</a>) Google "decided not to go in the car business."
"Beyond that, their cost, their quality of their vehicles is far superior to what I see in the West. We are in a global competition with China, and it&#8217;s not just EVs. And if we lose this, we do not have a future Ford,&#8221; Farley added.
Why It Matters: Farley's comments come in as Ford plans on releasing products on its new <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46020713/ford-says-upcoming-budget-ev-platform-will-rival-chinese-ev-prices-report">affordable EV platform</a> in 2027. The company says its platform could rival Chinese competitors and match them in cost.&nbsp;
Ford is also going ahead with the plans to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46074112/ford-to-proceed-with-3-billion-battery-plant-despite-potential-tax-incentive-loss-under-trumps-budget-plan-we-stick-behind-our-investments">set up a battery plant</a>, investing over $3 billion in the plant, which will be in Michigan.&nbsp;
However, Chinese automakers are also pushing more competitively priced and feature-rich EVs. Recently, Xiaomi unveiled the company's first-ever all-electric SUV <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/asia/25/06/46132552/telsla-model-y-rival-xiaomi-yu7-suv-receives-nearly-300000-orders-in-1-hour-in-china">dubbed the YU7</a>, which closely rivals the Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) Model Y.

Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) CEO Elon Musk has hailed the Cybertruck's build quality as the EV giant grapples with declining sales figures in multiple markets across the globe, which experts believe could have led to Musk&#8217;s longtime aide Omead Afshar&#8216;s <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46132042/teslas-q2-sales-going-to-s-says-gary-black-after-tsla-north-america-and-europe-chief-omead-afshars-exit">exit from the company</a>.
What Happened: Quoting a video by the Tesla Cybertruck's official handle on X on Thursday, the billionaire hailed the EV pickup truck's build.
"Built bullet tough," the billionaire said in the post. The video showcased an unscathed Cybertruck getting hit with things like a shopping cart, a baseball, as well as a sledgehammer.

Why It Matters: Musk's post comes in as Tesla has been <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46067027/tesla-robotaxi-faces-nhtsa-scrutiny-over-traffic-violations-during-austin-launch">under scrutiny</a> by the NHTSA, or National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, over the company's FSD technology.
Recently, a video surfaced online that showcased a Cybertruck driving in the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45991698/tesla-cybertruck-caught-driving-in-wrong-lane-on-fsd-just-days-before-robotaxi-launch">wrong lane while on FSD</a>, which could pose a threat to the occupants of the vehicle.
The company also began <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45487522/tesla-is-accepting-trade-ins-for-2024-cybertruck-amid-plummeting-sales-figures-report">accepting trade-ins</a> for the Cybertruck last month, as the company was also reportedly sitting on <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/25/05/45216453/tesla-has-over-10000-units-of-unsold-cybertrucks-in-its-us-inventory-amid-poor-sales-report">10,000 units of unsold Cybertrucks</a> in its U.S. inventory.&nbsp;
Tesla has also been <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46069883/teslas-china-sales-slip-over-10-in-mid-june-after-strong-may-surge">experiencing poor sales</a> and hitting record lows in multiple markets. The decline comes as Tesla's Chinese rival BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45969242/elon-musk-has-a-new-problem-byd-beats-tesla-in-global-ev-sales-amid-europe-expansion">overtook the automaker</a> in global EV sales.

Elon Musk Reacts To Video Of Cybertruck Withstanding Sledgehammer Blow: 'Built Bullet Tough'

Xiaomi Corp (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XIACY#OTC">XIACY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/XIACF#OTC">XIACF</a>) unveiled the company's first all-electric SUV, the YU7, as a rival to Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/TSLA#NASDAQ">TSLA</a>) Model Y.
What Happened: Xiaomi took to the Chinese social media platform Weibo to announce that it had received over 289,000 orders for its YU7 SUV on Thursday, after the company said it received over 200,000 orders in just 3 minutes.

The YU7 is available in three variants: Standard, Pro and Max. The SUV retails for around 253,500 RMB or approximately $35,000 for the standard variant. The range-topping Max variant comes in at around 329,900 RMB or over $46,000.

The base standard variant undercuts the Tesla Model Y, which was the best-selling SUV in China, by 10,000 RMB or $1,400. It offers a claimed range of 515 miles on a single charge. The Max variant offers AWD and a claimed range of 472 miles with NMC batteries.

Why It Matters: Xiaomi's SUV comes in as <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/topics/25/06/45715047/byds-aggressive-pricing-triggers-ev-rat-race-stock-tumbles-authorities-voice-concern">China's EV price war</a> shows little signs of relenting, with several manufacturers offering aggressive discounts to drive up sales.
Several Chinese manufacturers are unveiling new models. BYD Co. Ltd. (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDY#OTC">BYDDY</a>) (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BYDDF#OTC">BYDDF</a>) also launched its <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/45855643/tesla-rival-byd-launches-15000-seal-06-sedan-as-chinas-ev-price-war-heats-up">Seal 06 EV sedan</a>, priced at over $15,000. The EV undercut Tesla's Model 3 by almost half.
Tesla, despite experiencing a strong May sales surge, experienced a <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/markets/tech/25/06/46069883/teslas-china-sales-slip-over-10-in-mid-june-after-strong-may-surge">decline in sales</a> in China during June. The company's new insured registrations fell by over 11%.
