The global cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $3.27 trillion, following a modest decline of 0.67% in the last 24 hours.
Stocks closed higher on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 404.41 points, or 0.94%, to end at 43,386.84. The S&amp;P 500 ascended 0.8% to close the session at 6,141.02, within touching distance of its all-time closing high. The tech-focused Nasdaq Composite added 0.97% to end at 20,167.91.
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/NKl2dpLylK0?feature=shared">told </a>reporters that the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/05/45603240/trump-agrees-to-extend-50-tariffs-on-europe-until-july-9-it-was-my-privilege-to-do-so">July 9 tariff deal deadline</a> is "not critical" and that it could be extended, but that&#8217;s a decision for President Donald Trump to make.

Analyst Notes: Widely followed cryptocurrency analyst and trader Ali Martinez noticed Bitcoin's range-bound movement and projected the "next major move" after a close outside the $106,900–$108,200 zone.

According to blockchain analytics firm Santiment, the number of wallets holding at least 10 BTC jumped to its highest level since mid-March, signaling high institutional interest.
"As markets have been volatile, smart money has accumulated on most retail panic sell cycles," Santiment added.

Bitcoin, Ethereum Rangebound, Dogecoin Dips Amid Potential July Tariff Deadline Extension: Analyst Predicts BTC's 'Next Big Move' Once It Breaks Out Of This Range

Metaplanet (OTC:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/MTPLF#OTC">MTPLF</a>), the Tokyo-listed investment firm, announced the purchase of an additional 1,234 Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) on Wednesday, bringing its total <a href="https://editorial.benzinga.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=962984&amp;action=edit">Bitcoin holdings to 12,345 BTC</a>.
Based on current prices, the company's total Bitcoin treasury now exceeds $780 million.
The latest purchase reaffirms Metaplanet&#8217;s aggressive strategy of using stock issuances and bond offerings to continuously expand its Bitcoin reserves. 
The firm views Bitcoin as a core balance sheet asset and has been actively scaling its exposure through frequent acquisitions.
Why It Matters: The move comes as institutional interest in Bitcoin is gaining substantial momentum.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have recently seen a surge in inflows, with BlackRock&#8216;s iShares Bitcoin Trust (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/IBIT#NASDAQ">IBIT</a>) fund alone attracting $340.3 million in a single day on June 25, according to <a href="https://www.theblock.co/post/359815/bitcoin-etfs-inflow-streak?utm_source=rss&amp;utm_medium=rss">data</a> compiled by The Block.
Fidelity's (CBOEF: BTC) fund followed with $115.2 million, while other players like Ark Invest's (CBOEF: ARKB), Bitwise's (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BITB#NYSE">BITB</a>), and VanEck's (CBOE: HODL) recorded daily inflows of $70.2 million, $12.9 million, and $9.1 million, respectively.
Many other Bitcoin ETFs reported no flows on the day.
BlackRock's IBIT continues to dominate the sector, accounting for over $3.3 billion, around 86%, of the total net inflows during a recent twelve-day inflow streak.

The pace of investment has accelerated notably over the past few days, with more than $500 million flowing into spot Bitcoin ETFs on both June 25 and June 26, up from a $276 million daily average earlier in the month.
Nate Geraci, President of The ETF Store, noted on social media: "Over a half billion into spot Bitcoin ETFs. Twelve straight days of inflows. Nearly $4 billion new money. Category now approaching $50 billion inflows since Jan 2024 launch. Absolutely ridiculous."
Since their U.S. market debut in January 2024, spot Bitcoin ETFs have collectively drawn $48.4 billion in net inflows and now oversee nearly $125 billion in assets under management, supported by a concurrent rise in Bitcoin's price.
Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>) ETFs have also gained traction, securing $60.4 million in net inflows on Wednesday, led by BlackRock's (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/ETHA#NASDAQ">ETHA</a>) fund with $55.2 million.
U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs have now accumulated total net inflows of $4.2 billion since launching in July 2024, with three consecutive days of positive flows.

More than $200 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, with nearly $102 million in bearish shorts wiped out.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin&#8217;s open interest surged nearly 5% in the last 24 hours. A rise in open interest, combined with a price rise, is typically interpreted as a bullish signal.
The market's "Greed" sentiment strengthened from 66 to 74, according to the Crypto Fear &amp; Greed Index.

Stocks were a mixed bag on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 106.59 points, or 0.25%, to end at 42,982.43. The S&amp;P 500 was barely changed, ending the session at 6,092.16. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 0.31% to end at 19,973.55.
Artificial intelligence darling NVIDIA Corp. Analyst Notes: On-chain analytics firm Santiment highlighted a divergence in trader behavior for Bitcoin and Ethereum.
"With BTC pushing crypto&#8217;s recovery, traders are shorting (expecting a slight pullback). Meanwhile, ETH has been trailing, and traders are longing in hopes it will catch up," Santiment stated.

Widely followed cryptocurrency analyst Cas Abbé likened Bitcoin&#8217;s current price action at $108,000 to its $20,000 level in 2020.
"In 2020-21 cycle, BTC pumped 3x in just 3 months," Abbé said. "I&#8217;m not saying that BTC will pull a 3x, but there will be a similar parabolic move.
The analyst projected BTC to soar 50%-80% in the next 3-4 months before a blow-off top.

What happened: NYSE Arca, a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange, submitted a proposed rule change to the SEC to list and trade shares of the Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF.
The 19b-4 filing stated that the trust is a passive investment vehicle that seeks to reflect the price performance of the two largest cryptocurrencies by market value.&nbsp;
The trust's sponsor is Yorkville America Digital, LLC, with Foris DAX Trust Company, LLC, a Crypto.com affiliate, serving as the custodian.
The 19b-4 filing, a mandatory second step to list any ETF on Wall Street, follows the <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/crypto/cryptocurrency/25/06/45953644/truth-social-etf-filing-bitcoin-ethereum">S-1 registration statement</a> filed by Trump Media last week.&nbsp;
The ETF will hold the assets in a 3:1 ratio, meaning that 75% of its assets will be invested in Bitcoin and 25% in Ether.

Trump Media Stock Edges Higher Pre-Market After NYSE Files To List Truth Social Bitcoin And Ethereum ETF Shares

Entrepreneur and investor Anthony Pompliano stated Tuesday that his newly launched Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) treasury company designed a unique structure that allows it to buy the leading cryptocurrency immediately after raising funds.
What happened: Pompliano took to X, stating that several companies have raised large sums but cannot buy Bitcoin immediately because their funding is &#8220;contingent on closing" of the deals and mergers.
"For my deal, we were able to design a structure that allowed ProCap BTC, LLC (private company), to accept the funding immediately and start buying bitcoin," he added.

Bitcoin&#8217;s open interest rose 2.52%, while the funds locked in Ethereum's derivatives contracts surged nearly 8% in the last 24 hours.
The market sentiment flipped back to "Greed," according to the Crypto Fear &amp; Greed Index. Indicating a resurgence in buying pressure.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Dogecoin Rebound As Week Opens - $103,000 Emerges As Key Battleground

Crypto trader and analyst Cheds has issued a warning to traders calling for a Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) market top, arguing that the flagship cryptocurrency is still in a stage one uptrend.
Speaking on a YouTube livestream, Cheds <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-w1IORl6H4">explained </a>the current price action suggests Bitcoin is consolidating within a healthy bullish trend and predictions of a top are premature.
"There&#8217;s no way to call top yet," Cheds said. "Any kind of top now is not based on available information."
Cheds pointed to key technical indicators to support his position, particularly Bitcoin's price consistently trading above the rising eight-period exponential moving average (EMA) and the simple moving average (SMA) 200, both of which are widely used to gauge long-term market direction.
He cautioned traders against prematurely identifying a head and shoulders pattern, noting that valid breakdown levels have yet to be tested. 
"Any kind of bear thesis before you&#8217;ve even had even a minor local breakdown, which would be 100K, is simply no way to call top," he said.

Cheds emphasized that Bitcoin is in a necessary consolidation phase and pullbacks should not be mistaken for trend reversals.
"You need consolidation to move higher," he added.
The trader also highlighted the risks of misinterpreting moving average crossovers during sideways markets, where their predictive power diminishes. 
"Moving average crosses have limited value in a sideways environment," he noted.
While Bitcoin remained bullish in his view, Cheds expressed caution toward Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>), which he described as "super weak," citing technical warning signs of a potential tower top pattern and growing bearish pressure.

Digital asset investment products recorded their 10th consecutive week of inflows, totaling $1.24 billion last week and pushing year-to-date (YTD) inflows to a new high of $15.1 billion, CoinShares Head of Research James Butterfill <a href="https://blog.coinshares.com/volume-239-digital-asset-fund-flows-weekly-report-95db5dc90500">wrote</a>.
Bitcoin continued to dominate investor interest, attracting $1.1 billion in inflows despite recent price corrections. 
Ethereum followed with $124 million, extending its nine-week inflow streak to a cumulative $2.2 billion, the longest since mid-2021.

Butterfill noted, &#8220;The surge in activity earlier in the week tapered off in the latter half, likely due to the US Juneteenth holiday and emerging reports of US involvement in the Iran conflict.&#8221;
Short-Bitcoin products saw minor outflows of $1.4 million, suggesting investors remain optimistic about the market's direction.
Notably, the recent surge in investment interest was accompanied by significant moves from corporate players. 
Japan's Metaplanet announced it had purchased an additional 1,111 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 11,111 BTC. 
The company's CEO, Simon Gerovich, confirmed that Metaplanet acquired the latest batch at $106,408 per Bitcoin. 
The firm has invested approximately $1.07 billion across all its purchases, securing its holdings at an average price of $95,869 per Bitcoin.
At current market rates, Metaplanet's Bitcoin treasury is valued at around $1.12 billion. 
The company's recent acquisition came just a week after it surpassed its initial 2025 goal of holding 10,000 BTC. 
This milestone elevated Metaplanet to the ninth-largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally, overtaking Coinbase (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/COIN#NASDAQ">COIN</a>).
Metaplanet has since updated its targets, aiming to accumulate 30,000 BTC by the end of 2025, 100,000 BTC by 2026, and 210,000 BTC by 2027, signaling its aggressive long-term crypto strategy.
In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, smaller inflows were recorded for Solana (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/sol/usd">SOL</a>) ($2.78 million) and XRP (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/xrp/usd">XRP</a>) ($2.69 million) last week.

In the wake of escalating global tensions and US-Iran conflict, the cryptocurrency market has taken a significant hit. 
What Happened: Cryptocurrency Bitcoin (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/btc/usd">BTC</a>) has dipped below the $100,000 mark, while XRP and Dogecoin have plunged to their lowest in two months.
On Sunday morning, Bitcoin&#8217;s value fell below the $100,000 mark, while XRP and Dogecoin prices hit a two-month low.
This drop in cryptocurrency prices comes in the aftermath of the U.S.&#8217;s involvement in the conflict between Israel and Iran. Late on Saturday, President Donald Trump announced that U.S. forces had bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities in an operation named &#8216;Midnight Hammer&#8217;.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin&#8217;s price was at $99,843, marking its lowest since early May. Ethereum (CRYPTO: <a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/eth/usd">ETH</a>), another major cryptocurrency, also took a significant hit, falling more than 10% to $2,171.

As per CoinGlass, liquidations across the crypto market have accelerated, with $949 million worth of positions liquidated in the last 24 hours. 
Ethereum led the way with about $369 million worth, followed by Bitcoin at $242 million.
The recent geopolitical unrest has triggered a wave of uncertainty in the global financial markets, including cryptocurrencies. 
Amid the chaos, users of prediction market Myriad have become increasingly bearish on Bitcoin&#8217;s price prospects, giving a nearly 65% chance that Bitcoin will plunge below $95,000 next.
The current scenario underscores the volatility of cryptocurrencies and their susceptibility to global events. It remains to be seen how the crypto market will respond in the coming days as the geopolitical situation evolves.

What Happened: Bitcoin continued to oscillate in the $104,000-$105,000 range, with trading volumes remaining thin in the last 24 hours.
Ethereum bulls were also left disappointed, as the second-largest cryptocurrency faced resistance at $2,540.
Bitcoin's market dominance hit 64%, while Ethereum's share rose to 9.4%.
About $81 million was liquidated from the cryptocurrency market in the last 24 hours, with long liquidations accounting for $46.58 million.
Bitcoin&#8217;s Open Interest dipped 0.24% in the last 24 hours to $69.19 billion. Since the beginning of June, the Open Interest has fallen by 3.6%.
More than 50% of Binance traders with open BTC positions were positioned long as of this writing, according to the Long/Short ratio.
The market sentiment flipped from "Greed" to "Neutral," according to the Crypto Fear &amp; Greed Index.

Stock market futures slid overnight on Thursday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average Futures fell 138 points, or 0.32%, as of 8:45 p.m. EDT.&nbsp; Futures tied to the S&amp;P 500 dipped 0.25%, while Nasdaq 100 Futures lost 0.21%.
Investors remained anxious about the ongoing Iran-Israel war and potential U.S. involvement, as the White House <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRgNQ24xHhc">told </a>reporters that President Donald Trump would "make a decision within two weeks."
The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq were closed on Thursday in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. Trading will resume as normal on Friday.

Analyst Notes: On-chain analytics firm Santiment highlighted that the number of Bitcoin wallets holding more than 10 BTC rose 0.15% in the last 10 days, while those with 0.001 to 10 BTC declined 0.15% in as many days.
"When large wallets accumulate as retail loses confidence, this is historically the right combination for bullish momentum to inevitably return to crypto markets," Santiment added.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin Rangebound As White House Says Decision On Iran-Israel Conflict In Two Weeks: Analyst Says This Is The 'Right Combination' For Bullish BTC Momentum To Return

Iranian cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, was hacked for nearly $90 million on Wednesday, with an Israel-linked group claiming responsibility for the cyberattack.
What Happened: A group called Gonjeshke Darande, or "Predatory Sparrow," announced the attack on X, calling Nobitex &#8220;a tool for financing terrorism and violating sanctions.&#8221;
&#8220;In the next 24 hours, we will publish the Nobitex source code and internal information from its internal network. Any assets left there after that will be at risk,&#8221; the group said in an X post in Persian.
This marks the second operation by the hacking group in two days, following their claim of data destruction&nbsp;at Iran's state-owned Bank Sepah&nbsp;on Tuesday, a Reuters report said.
